Ghostbusters (2016)
A lot of the same charm of the original
The movie was funny start to finish with brilliant representation of strong female character. The jokes were on point and had me, and everyone around me laughing throughout the film. I urge you to see the movie for yourself and ignore the obvious bias from MRA's who claim that somehow having four women is sexist while maintaining that the original movie wasn't for having four men. The movie gives a great nod to the original while still standing on its own feet. Kristen Wiig, Melizza McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon had great chemistry and were believable in their parts. It was great to see smart women celebrated as hero's and I urge you to see it; if not only to annoy the dude bro nearest you.
Dead Silence (2007)
Uh...no.
I, being afraid of dolls, figured for once I might be afraid of a movie. Oh, but how wrong I was, I can't even begin to describe the amount that this failed. In the being 5 minutes, I was able to figure out that the step mother was controlling the heroes father like a puppet. Anyone with eye could have seen that. The only thing more annoying then this fact, was the whole fog thing. Everywhere and everything was covered in fog. Ether that, or it had a sheet over it, what the hell with the sheets? Was the Walmart near them having a sale or something and they spent so much on the fog they need a cheep Halloween haunted house scare? I know that people in movies like this need to lack some common sense, but come on. Everyone seemed from the start to want to die, which I wish they did so I could have save my 90 some minutes. I saw nothing in this movie that needed a R rating, it was so horrible. Save your money everyone, just save the money and the 90 minutes...
The Thief Lord (2006)
Book was great I can not say the same for the movie.
I am being nice with the 4, the movie was a horrible adaption from the book. The other characters where basically written out and parts that where suppose to be full of emotion and feeling, where dulled down and made to seem pointless. In the book when "Theif lord" betrays everyone, they hate him. In the movie it was all "oh who cares." I was more then slightly annoyed by this. None of the other characters seemed to have a story behind them when they all did. Hornet collected books, and the aunt and uncle where way worse then the movie would have led you to believe. Even the way that the two main characters got there was toned down, like it was no trouble at all. I would suggest that you read the book before giving this movie any type of high rating. I will guarantee you that, you will be just as angry as I was.
13 Seconds (2003)
total failure-skip right over it!
This movie aside from being completely horribly made. Lacked any real plot, one minute there supposed to be making a video. The next they're playing f***ing Scooby Doo. It lacks all meaning and the horrible scene where the characters do heroine is... Well there are no words to describe the apparent acted reaction of the actors. Not only that, but there is a scene in the movie where the characters attempt to nail a door shut, that opens in the other direction... The audio and visual of this trash fest was both poor and horrible. One of the characters spent the whole movie chewing on someone else's tooth. I wouldn't even suggest watching 13 seconds of it. The poorly edited pictures that were supposed to give hints as to what would happen next, where done in two different mediums and did not make any sense.
