Hall Pass Nightmare (2022)
Trashy movie
Lets see now: cheating, low resolve housewife: loving, oblivious, wimpy type husband who is in very obvious need of some self-defense lessons: psycho, scummy pretty-boy guy who weak minded women always flock to: very low moral friends who care nothing for you. Yeah, this makes for a bad film that is very triggering. Really love Andrea Bowen, but hated her role in this one. A lot of this crap happens in real life, less the rock star status of the psycho, with the exception that the husband doesn't forgive as easy and act like nothing happened. May be blow to the head caused amnesia. And shortly thereafter they ride off into the sunset of a beachy resort to start a family. This movie really leaves a bad taste.
Round and Round (2023)
Perfectly casted
I loved this movie more than any I have seen in a long time. Had never heard of either of the leads before. Vic Michaelis is absolute perfection in every personality trait she showed. She delivered the perfect funny looks and remarks, the perfect "ticked-off" traits, and the perfect "girl falling in love" looks and dialogue. Bryan Greenberg was the same in all his roles in the movie. Dad was a joy to watch and I love Rosie in all her movies as well. A great script with a developing love story that unfolds at the right pace. Just loved this movie. If there was ever a movie that need a sequel, this one gets my vote. What a joy!
Love in Aruba (2021)
Good, Good movie
Absolutely LOVE Sashleigha Hightower in everything she is in. It is a really personal story line and all the actors were very believeable in their deliverance. Sashleigha and the little girl were just adorable and chemistry was very authentic, Very personable movie. The hurt experienced by the male lead is real and transfers off the screen really nice. Although the storyline has been recycled dozens of times, their relationship grew and progressed in a great way. Really like Shae. Robins is another strong character in the movie and she is strong in most of her movies as well, really enjoy her also. Sashleigha is such an authentic actress in all her roles, I believe, because she is a phenomenal mother in real life. She is very genuine in her roles because she is very genuine in real life.
My Best Friend's Christmas (2019)
Waste of Time
Can't even begin to say how much I hated this movie. Where to start, Female lead, while gorgeous, proves that beauty is skin deep. Her character proves that ugly goes all the way to the bone. Selfish, self-serving, horrible acting, really dis-likeable. Her acting was not good, way over the top and unbelievable. She is very beautiful. Lead actor was the only redeemable character in the movie. I wish he had had more backbone though (bad writing /directing). I wanted him to bow up and say enough is enough, before that point in the movie came. "Grant" embodies all the horrible, self-serving attributes, along with Ashley, that hurts so many people in real life. Movies like these really make me angry. And I don't need to mention the always overbearing music that so many of these movies have.
Deadly Secrets by the Lake (2017)
Shame
Was looking at a 7-9 rating. Loved Stefanie...but..."my life is in the city with Santos." Would that be the same Santos you just cheated on with your ex? Would this be the same Santos that observed you in a passionate embrace and kiss with the same guy, all while the same current boyfriend, Santos, was holding an engagement ring? Would this be the same Santos that I suppose went back to the city alone when you turned your car around? Her character lost all credibility and likeability when she cheated on him, while not being bothered to answer his phone calls. Ruined the entire movie. Can promise I won't be watching the sequel you obviously set up to make. Her infidelity and indifference completely ruined what could have been a pretty good watch.
The Nine Kittens of Christmas (2021)
Bad Idea to make this one
Absolutely loved the first Nine Lives movie. This one has completely ruined the first one for me. While I love the actors and animals in this one, what is with Marilee being with a different boyfriend in a whole other town? Completely dismantles the love story of the first movie. While I was extremely excited to anticipate the second when I heard it was coming out, I was equally disappointed with the second from the opening scenes. Trying to watch the first one again as I write this, can't enjoy it anymore. Don't do sequels if this is the best you can do.
One Summer (2021)
Beautiful
Perfectly cast! Sam Page, Amanda Schull and Sarah Drew were spectacular! Very emotional for anyone who has lost someone dear to them. Amanda and Sarah has never disappointed. Sam was great as always!
