Signs (2002)
Silence is not always golden.
Well, I saw Signs today, and I wasn't disappointed. I wasn't pleased either, it was more mediocre than anything.
I won't give any info on what happens, so sorry, if you were looking for a spoiler, you came to the wrong place. ;) I will however say that the main theme in this movie is suspense. And loads of it.
Silence is not always golden, nor is it safe.

Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
Eew. (What else can I say?)
It was Saturday, I was bored, so I decided to live out the British Spy in me and go see Austin Powers, the first two movies of which I found hilarious and superb.
I would have had more fun watching a snail cross the road.
Honestly people, maybe it was me, maybe I didn't get the jokes... but when I went to this movie, I was stunned to find myself holding the popcorn bag to my face, waiting for someone to throw Goldmember off a bridge or something.
The Good: The beginning. Instant gut-implosion time, woot!
The Bad: Is it just me, or did Doctor Evil totally change facial expressions more than ever? Also very little Frau and Number 2. Pity.
The Ugly: GOLDMEMBER. If I saw one more moment of him, that bag would have had more in it than just POPCORN.
The only way anyone would ever drag me to that movie again is so that I could see that marvelous Two Towers trailer, and some more Bond. Cool.
Final rating: (1.5/5) Retire baby, yea!
The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (2002)
What sattelite?
(warning: possible small spoilers in here. Be forewarned.)
Having been a watcher of Irwin's adventures on the Discovery Channel, I was semi-excited to see the movie come out. Sure, I needed a change, and this was just what I was looking for.
However, even between the laughs, I was very disappointed in the plot line. The 'poachers', though good for a few laughs...well, let's just say I kept my eyes on Irwin.
All in all, a very cool movie to go see when you've seen everything. I give it 6/10.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
I laughed, I cried, I saw it again and again and again...
When I first saw this wondrous movie, I was against it. Then the light exploded, and Middle-earth was brought to me, in a way I had never envisioned, nor even heard of. Ian McKellen (sp?) surpassed my wildest dreams as Gandalf, as did every other member of the cast.
Never before have I been so entranced by a movie on the silver screen. I was blown out of my seat by the Power of the sound effects, the beauty of the scenery, and the overall stunning world of Middle-earth which Peter Jackson has created. The music was overpowering, as I had to ask many people for extra tissues.
This is an Oscar worthy movie. This is MORE than an Oscar-worthy movie, it's a Legend conceived. This is why I have been to the movies 7 times already, and am going back for more.
It was humorous, dramatic, stunning, and spell-binding. An once-in-a-lifetime undertaking. If I could rate this film, I would. But it can rate itself. Kudos to Jackson, and everyone.
