CSI: Vegas: Dying Words (2023)
worst CSI vegas finale ever
The writing, why is it just unmemorable? I want to love it like the original CSI Vegas storylines that gripped you. This new version has way too much personal stuff and not enough science. I was hoping to see Greg Sanders return for the finale. We got basically just a tease of his characters return this season., it was not nearly enough.
Catherine needed way more to do. Bring both Catherine and Greg back in season 3, and give them top notch scripts, front and center. And what's up with the Penny engagement, that thing was so weird, I like her though. I feel like this version belongs on Nickelodean, it's such a kids show. Probably because the over focus on the Allie character, and the young women interrogating, gives me Scooby Doo vibes.

Terrible Writing, Love seeing Greg
Who wrote this nonsense? It's the worst writing, with over dramatized personal plots (which we don't care about at all), and way over focused on the boring and bad acting new characters (nails on a chalkboard to watch). The two young woman questioning witnesses is just the stupidest, most unbelievable thing I've seen on network tv. It's like watching a kids show. The fans are vocal, they can't stand to watch Allie Rajan, it's CSI Rajan and you can't understand a word she says, and the same wide eye facial expression in every scene makes me want to vomit. Maybe you do this so people don't care about the plot lines since they suck anyway.
The only good thing this show has going for it in S2 is the presence of Marg Helgenberger and Eric Szmanda. Their characters are a god send to this joke of a show. I am pissed you gave little to no screen time to Greg Sanders. I feel betrayed you brought this CSI legend back and wrote nothing for him. How dare you test the fans emotions this way? On a previous episode, you had Catherine Willows bring her grand daughter into a mold infested crime scene, she would not have done that. Why do you make her character look so bad (and all the newbies look so good)? And why is she so randomly on some episodes and not others? And why did she barely have any screen time with Greg?
I give 7/10 stars for Greg/Cath, and 0/10 stars to the writers. I will give S3 a try, but I am out of here if Catherine and Greg do not return, and if they are not given front facing rolls with dynamic high quality scripts. This current CSI iteration really needs to do a 180, perhaps some OG writers are in order. Focus on our favorite legends and drop the super drama. Get back to the science, and write something extraordinary for our beloved OG top talents.

Wanting more Greg Sanders....
This is the best episode yet of the CSI re-birth, by far. It's been kinda terrible up until now. The main reason this one was best, is seeing Greg Sanders return. He needs a big episode himself (not about Max - which is strange on his big return you focused on her), hopefully writing something for him that is is brilliant, clever and witty. His comedic acting ability is highly missed. I was hoping for more scenes of him, hopefully in next episodes? Where was Catherine on this one? Her absence was glaring. The guest star Regina Taylor was superb, so were the other guest actors. Kinda sad you killed her at the end, was that necessary? Less Rajan was nice for once, you could understand what the actors said, which is a huge turnaround from prior episodes. Beau is a keeper, you think his dead girl issue would have been more involved here, but it was the Paula show I guess. The new ME is by far the best at that roll in the entire series re-boot. I like Greg Sanders w/ Penny, wow in that scene they were brilliant together. You have my attention again, for now at least. Hopefully you have more of the quality scripts for the best actors of the bunch very soon. OG Fan here, put our beloved OG's more on screen please. Better music too could help a lot, it should not be so commercial and enough of the sob story tunes too. Though all things can easily improved if you take a lot the fans advice. Bravo on this one though, it was a quality episode. True fans will be watching like hawks....
The Last of Us (2023)
My Hero, Love This Show
PEDRO Rocks. Love the gore. Love the cinematography. It takes me back to my childhood gaming. I wish this show was out when I was a child, I would have flipped out. Love the girl, she's bad ass.
I hope these Cordiycep connotations don't give mushrooms a bad name. Though creepy they are, we still don't have a huge scientific understanding about them. Is it strange some fungus we can eat, and some kills us! We are just figuring out their interconnectivity to the rest of the earth.
I look forward to seeing another season. I'm guessing we can look to the game to see what season 2 might have in store. The gay couple was important and well received. More of that please!
Here's to quality storytelling. Please keep it strange and sexy!
CSI: Vegas (2021)
Why are you destroying the CSI brand?
I am giving this 5 stars now only because of the glorious return of Greg Sanders and other OG cast members (otherwise I would give it 0 stars). It is glaring that the new producers and show runners hate the OG cast and continuously shove these new actors down our throats (some new actors are better than others). S1, why was Sara and Grissom given background rolls and pushed out after S1? Why was Hodges loosing his hair? Why was Captain Brass blind and living with a parrot, seriously? Willow's brings a granddaughter to a scene filled with mold spores, she would have never done that, it's stupid. There is no respect from CBS for our beloved OG cast. You make them look old and weak only to push the new actors down our throats, no one cares about the newbies. Now Greg Sanders is given little to no screen time? What's up with that? He is the best actor you have in the whole bunch. Now he departs to Chicago? How dare you test the fan's love for the show and tease us, only to rip our favorites away! We won't bite when you treat our loves this way. Fans will walk away in droves.
Who's writing this crap? The plot lines are unbelievable and the writing is just as bad. I don't remember one zinger line from the entire reboot, they constantly fall flat. Grissom, Greg and others often had those that are memorable. There are moments that look and feel like the original show, but mostly not. It's rather hard to watch. Especially the Allie Rajan character....you can't understand a word she says and she's in every scene. It's a big f.u. To fans, and you can't follow the plot line, I just don't care. She has like one expression, wide eyes. She comes across as a snot and I cringe every time she comes on screen, which is the entire show, one big cringe. You are ruining the CSI brand. For what? More money for the executive producers? Pay our OG cast, & give them quality scripts, it's not rocket science CBS. If not, you will lose the few remaining super fans that are hanging on to the nostalgia. I am personally livid with the treatment of our OG's. The reviews everywhere say the same. I like the Max character, but she has way too much to do and makes strange grunting noises. I like Lex but he is a little too goofy, maybe a tone down with that is in order. Penny is a keeper, she's a doll. This over dramatized version is stupid and takes you out of the storyline. Get back to the science. The music could be better. So could the cinematography. There are shadows on faces often, seems it could be improved all across the board. Start with bringing Greg Sanders back and also more of our favorite legacy characters. OG writers would be well received and a huge improvement If not, your are dooming the CSI brand to irrelevance.

Greg Sanders...returns when?
I watched this episode to see my favorite CSI character Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda) return to the series. I am disappointed there was only a name drop, but I guess I'll take it for now. I am really looking forward to his return, when is that exactly? Hopefully the writing gets better and they get back to the science instead of the unbelievable, poorly written/executed love affairs. Thanks for keeping another fan favorite character Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) on the show, but shouldn't she have been in this episode being a blood splatter expert? More science (do your research!) and way less soap opera drama please. Greggo to the front of my tv screen pronto.
