It's not that bad.

Most of the reviews that gave this film 1/10 are from persons who have seen the original. I have not seen the original and I enjoyed the film.

I actually thought that this movie would be crap after I saw the rating but I ended up enjoying it. Its not the best movie in the world and there are definitely problems with it but to give a movie 1 star because it doesn't live up to the original is a bit unfair.

A car goes through one end of a falling building and comes out the other end. At that point, I wanted to stop watching but I pressed on.

Same car outruns...oh gawd...who made this movie? I lost respect for Roland Emmerich - the guy who did Independence Day, Star Gate and Universal Soldier - three great films from the 90s.

2012 is a total disaster of a film and I only gave it a 1/10 because you can't give it less stars on here.

See You Yesterday (2019)

Fun watch. I don't understand the negative comments.

Usually, I would research the movie before I watch and if it has a rating like the current 4.9 on imdb, then I would just skip it. It so happened that my phone died so I just watched the movie since it was in my Netflix watch list.

And I'm glad I did because it is a fun movie. Some negative reviews said it was tedious - it wasn't. There was no point where like some other movies I've watched, where I was checking to see how much time was left. Movie was paced well and moved along briskly.

Other negative reviews criticized the intended audience and the swearing. The movie is realistic in the social aspect - this is how things really are. Young people that age really do talk like that so what if they curse and say the n word?

Finally, most of the negative reviews criticized the ending. Seriously, I get frustrated with ambiguous endings a lot of times but I immediately got the point. If you think about it you'll get the meaning to. No spoilers here though.

Overall, it's not a masterpiece but it was a really fun watch that I can't really say anything bad about and I'm really surprised at the negative reviews. The movie has a lot of Caribbean flavor so that was exciting to see as I'm from the Caribbean also. The only thing they might not have gotten right might be some of the technical details of time travel but so what? It's still a nice little popcorn flick that you can just relax and watch for an hour and a half.
