Monkey Man (2024)
Excellent action movie, better than John Wick!
Excellent action movie that was much better than anticipated when it's called John Wick in Mumbai
Actually I preferred this to John Wick and it's more gritty and interesting
Great cinematography, improvisation of Go Pro worked well, action scenes had great choreograph
Good use of social issues to add more emotion and realism to the film, as well as the interesting spiritual Indian mythology. But they didn't over do any of the social issues as at the end of the day it's still just an action movie
Excellent sound track as well
While very violent, it was not uncomfortably gory
The fighting arena was awesome and I loved that they had
Sharlto Copley! Patel and Copley were previously in Chappie together
Only downside is it slows down a bit in the middle before gearing up into the last act
If you like John Wick, Dev Patel or India then you'll probably enjoy this film.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Such a better sequel than Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
Obviously this sequel won't be better than the first Jurassic Park film .
But it still has a lot of heart compared to Jurassic World, it still bring that sense of wonder and scary dino parts.
Where they are going through the long grass with the velociraptors chasing them is a great scence. How the horrible hunters who arrived to capture the dinosaurs, quickly find themselves the ones being hunted is very cool.
Not sure why they ended up in San Diego or what happened to Vince Vaughn at that point 😂
Still, this movie is better than the Jurassic World trilogy and it has Jeff Goldblum as the main star! With a strong supporting cast of characters.
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
So bad it's almost unwatchable!
This film makes Jurassic Park 3 look good, which didn't have nearly the same budget, as many movie stars and was made as a campy B-movie!
This film so long and boring.
There's not even any real plot to it.
The bit where they go to Malta, why? That feels so forced into the movie and it shows nasty exploitation of the dinos, why? As if the exploitation of them being in a Park wasn't enough, the creators thought that wasn't subtle enough, so create a dino black market for the sake of it.
They just spent a load of money on special effects, pointless movie stars (apart from Jeff Goldblum!) and weird locations. Forced that into a movie and no surprise it's a bad movie 😂
Jurassic Park III (2001)
It's a fun B-Movie!
It's not a serious film like the newer Jurassic Worlds, so it's more fun to watch!
Yes there are stupid parts to it and compared to Jurassic Park it's no where near as good.
But this film isn't trying to be better than the first and it has so much more heart than Jurassic World 2 & 3!
Even in Jurassic Park 1 & 2 there were people making stupid choices. Because in reality you wouldn't even put yourself in danger 😂
I think people hold Jurassic Park 1 so highly, because they watched it when they were younger. Then of course the sequels wouldn't be anywhere near as good.
It says a lot that this movie is still rated more highly than Jurassic World Dominion! Which had a much smaller budget, only Ian Malcom returning and was made as a B-movie, it's still better than Jurassic World Dominion which must have cost $100 millions with massive movie stars 😂
1899 (2022)
Bad.
Waste of time to watch this show.
Just watch a YouTube synopsis if you really feel like you are missing out.
First couple of episodes are watchable, but after that it gets worse and worse.
The premise seems promising, but most of the story buildup and characters become irrelevant in the last few episodes.
Loose ends never explained.
Weird music choice at the end of each episode. They play a random modern song that just doesn't fit with the show's vibe in the beginning.
No idea how people have given this show good reviews. Maybe if you want to watch something that doesn't really have any meaning and you don't even think about what's going on. Otherwise the show is completely pointless.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Frank's Brother (2011)
Excellent episode, different to the rest
Strange it's rated so low. Very funny episode, different to the rest and a very sad truth behind the jokes, which gives it extra depth.
Not sure people disapprove because of the racial element, or because it's not focused on the gang's schemes. But not every episode should focus on schemes otherwise it's all the same.
