Star Trek: Prodigy: All the World's a Stage (2022)
The glorious return of TOS
This is a lovely tribute to both Star Trek: The Original Series and the Star Trek fandom at large. At first it seems to be poking gentle fun at people who dress up as Starfleet and memorize every line of dialogue, but the second half completely flips it on its head and reveals that you should never judge a book by its cover. A brilliant episode worthy of the best of Trek... it feels like an instant classic. And an ode to the redshirt!
It also is a great throwback to old TOS episodes like "A Piece of the Action" and "Patterns of Force" when cultural contamination in a pre-warp society could completely change a planet's society. In this case, to be a little more like Starfleet... or should I say "Star-Flight"?

A beautiful series
I love how we begin this series with very little context. A boy in a dome of ice. Children who manipulate water. And gradually we build to a grand sweeping saga that encapsulates war, friendship, and belief. Don't miss this series.

YA Star Trek? Yes, it works
I initially wasn't sold on the premise of this show. It starts on an alien mining planet where almost no one has heard of the Federation, and not a uniform in sight until Hologram Janeway shows up. But watch the first 5 episodes, trust me. The kids start out rough and unsure how to work as a team, but Janeway shows them the ropes of Starfleet and they slowly become a crew who set a course for the Alpha Quadrant. We are on a journey with these kids... and I'm looking forward to it.
