The Batman (2022)
What someone who's never seen a Tim Burton film would honk Tim Burtons Batman is
The set design, costumes and even the acting are all strange Burton film imitations it feels like a really bad imitation of the directors overall style but it's just good enough to accept as it's own thing.
Don't Look Up (2021)
I think I would enjoy this is if it even attempted to be subtle
The blatant ignorance of the media and obvious metaphor that the meteor is providing is just so forced that you can't really call this a comedy because there are no jokes to make it seem funny, in a dark comedy there will be jokes regarding the context of what is taking place but they will take you just out of it yet I'm in this every joke is overshadowed by the unrealistically stupid, corrupt and bland characters that you feel like you're watching every scene out of context because none of the jokes work within the context that they're used. I guess Streep and DiCaprio did as good as jobs they could given the bad script. Adam McKay hit his peak long ago, it's time for him to stop trying comedy and try do what Todd Phillips has done and just prey that he'll be half as as good as Phillips otherwise in 10 years time McKay will be lucky to even have anyone want an autograph at an airport at this rate.
Sojunghan nare kkum (2010)
Very cool
Very cool and deep themes of hate, regret and sadness explored in a great way. Hamish Little recommend this film in an interview with Fox News and I've regretted watching it.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Fan Service Overdone
The story while entertaining is simply complete fan service which while not being inherently bad on its own can feel cheap if it comes at you from every corner, a problem especially prevalent throughout the full film yet especially distracting in the third act. Tobey Maguire delivers his classic loveable charm from the Raimi Trilogy yet Andrew Garfield couldn't be anymore different from his Amazing Spider-Man films which shouldn't be a problem unless you are doing pure fan service which this film is. The film also brings big plot holes regarding how the villians arcs were in there previous films and just how they arrived but otherwise Dafoe and Molina give great and entertaining performances and are definitely a highlight of not just there own respective Spider-Man films but also this one. If you loved the Raimi Trilogy you'll love this but if you even slightly enjoy cinema then this is just a mediocre attempt at grabbing cash.
