Star and Sky: Star in My Mind (2022)
I STAND BY MY RATING but...
I loved the story but it was slow moving and they crammed so much into Episode 7
My main problem is they had the time but they left a lion share out of the story from the simple to the very important.
Simple: How did Nay and Pong become so close. They were both friends with Daonuea but Nay and Daonuea grew up together one would assume and Daonuea met Pong in Germany yet Nay and Pong seemed closer.
Important: They covered how Kluen fell for Daonuea but not how Daonuea fell for Kluen. Daonuea never spoke to Kluen until he asked him to sign his shirt and revealed he liked him. Plus Daonuea went on about appearance attracts but personality sustains yet he himself described Kluen as cold.
Plus in the last episode Kluen said he broke up with Gia in the 11th Grade after Daonuea's confession which makes zero sense because Kluen "rejected" Daonuea plus when Noel tried to tell Kluen's story he started with in the 10th Grade. To me the timeline was so off. Maybe it's just me.
But Natachai and Archen did a great job with their characters. I was impressed.
Episode 8 for me was a waste of time it was more an intro to SKY IN YOUR HEART with a small loose end tie up for Daonuea and Khabkluen and the bracelet gift was given to Daonuea.
It's a pity that TyPhoon was made to look so desperate and the Papang component was unnecessary but I get the reasoning for it. But in the end TyPhoon was a boss. Deleting Daonuea with no hard feelings but still a little hurt.
But overall it was vehicle to show Dunk is a damn good actor. And Joong was damn good too.

Better Than Thailand's Version
I can see both sides for loving or hating this show. That being said, I loved it. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. But what is perfect that you love. That's right nothing.
I think the story is amazing. The acting was decent. In some cases the acting was amazing. A bit over the top at times but it's what this version called for.
I saw the first episode of the Thailand version with the intent of watching the whole thing because I love the story flaws and all.
I am personally not a fan of Bright or Win or Tu. None of their performances made me want to stick around for the rest so I did not and never will. Sadly in my country I have no access to Meteor Garden (2001) or it's sequel but soon Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) Japanese version will air so I can't wait to see that one.
Pity that Thailand used stunt casting because Bright, Win and Tu were not ready or good enough to take on this story. I know alot of people disagree but this is just my opinion. So I will never discount this version when something so terrible came out of Thailand.
Lee Min-Ho is excellent as is the rest of the cast. Congratulations on a great job.
Love by Chance (2018)
Love By Chance deserved 10 but the unsequel destroyed it
If Love By Chance, the original stood alone I would say it was easily a 9 or a 10. But since a sequel was made they are inexplicably tied together even though all it had in common was characters.
In Part 1 it told a story of Ae and Pete. Pete was openly gay while Ae was undeclared or perhaps even straight with no romantic interest in anyone until he met Pete literally with a bang.
It was so beautiful watching as Ae fell in love with another boy even to his own surprise. But Love Is Love.
Then hate turned into Love for Tin and Can. Their story started in the first part. It was so well written not perfectly but it was a great story.
I don't know what happened but Saint was not invited back or whatever so the unsequel was made. Love By Chance 2: A Chance to Love. It retold the Tin and Can Story while Ae simply spent it mourning Pete leaving him. He was a prop more or less. With this rewrite the story lost me in its entirety. I can't ever see it any other way.
My advice watch Love By Chance and stop. Pretend that's the end. What ever producer, writer and or director approved such a change should change career because Part 2 of this story is awful.
Meteor Garden (2018)
Fantastic.
This entire cast brought something great to their roles.
Dylan Wang shined as the misunderstood Daoming Si.
Shen Yue was absolutely amazing as Dong Shancai.
Darren Chen, what can I say... absolutely charming and brillant.
All the cast made this an amazing show to watch. Sadly I never was able to see Meteor Garden that came before this. But I did see Boys Over Flowers with the incredible Lee Min-Ho and I loved it as well.
I watched the first episode of of F4: Thailand Boys Over Flowers and was immediately disgusting by it. Can't see how anyone can even compare that trash with any of the adaptations that came before it. To each his own.
I would give this show a ten but it was not perfect. I mean it was until the last couple of episode then it's like the director got lazy or something I don't know but it made little sense. It was like a dream sequence and I think Daoming Si and Shancai deserved better. Oh well what's done is done. Still miles ahead of that piece of Thailand trash. I'm changing my score to 10 just because of F4: Thailand. I hate that version. Didn't need to watch pass ep 1.
Daidaeng (2019)
Had Potential but Yeah NO.
I wanted to like this series so bad. I could not finish it. It got so convoluted I had to let it go. Not really confusing in fact it was quite predictable. The more it went on the worse it became. At least for me.
In the beginning there is a double suicide of the original couple and years later reincarnated and members of each other's families from the past.
I finally said I can't and I dropped it missing the last 2 or 3 episodes.
As bad as it was it was still better than some more recent releases from Thailand that get Grade F for Failure plus a 4.
My Love Mix-Up! (2021)
Ten Across The Board
I was so thrilled with My Love Mix Up.
Aoki and Ida stole the show. Hashimoto and Aida were a treat to watch.
Even the small roles were memorable. Like Ida's mother. The class president and vice president. Even the homophobic student teacher/Aoki's tutor.
This BL series told a story in which two seemingly straight men fall for one another because of a simple mistake and two great guys in Ida and Aoki.
Another one worth watching and re-watching.
Not much in the way of intimacy or kissing and such but still incredible and very funny at times. Great Acting. Great Story.
Pla bon fah (2021)
Excellent Story with Flaws but Worth The Watch
This is one of my favorite BL series of 2021. The only reason for 9 and not 10 is a few inconsistencies plus having to see F4 Thailand cast in ads.
Anyway Phuwin is hilarious, dramatic and great. And Naravit really brought his A game. His character of Sutthaya aka Mork was spot on as someone who would not give up on the person he loved regardless.
His emotions were well conveyed in every scene. I really love him and Phuwin as Mork and Pi.
I didn't love the story of Duean and Meen but it was decent enough. Both actors were pretty good. And it is always to see Mix in action even though his role was small in this one.
And an ending to be proud of. I have watched and rewatched this show and it never gets old. Great. Absolutely Great. Flaws and all. But not too many flaws.
F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021)
Meteor Garden was 10 Thousand Times Better.
There is nothing to like about this. I can't believe anyone would release this to the general public. People are entitled their own opinion so love away. But no other version I've seen allowed the bullying to be at such a level. It's despicable. The acting is terrible in my opinion. Only one lead brought something fantastic and that is DEW as Ren I believe. I hope they keep Lee Min-Ho and Dylan Wang's versions around to show that this actually a great story and that Thailand destroyed it. But thank you Japan (Hana Yori Dango) and Taiwan/China (Meteor Garden) and Korea (Boys Over Flowers) for giving this story life. I love Thailand shows normally but this effort is not a jewel in the crown. Apparently most people love it so bask in that. They clearly cast Bright and his co-star from that BL series because of it's popularity and knowing his "following" would come along singing his praises. Clever but reckless. This show does not deserve the F4 or Boys Over Flowers. With Bright, Win & Tu...You've got strike 1, 2 & 3.
