The Sixth Sense (1999)
Creepy!
This movie was very scary & creepy at times.
Living alone, after watching this movie i just thought, "i'm glad i don't have the sixth sense" because i'd hate to see a ghost just casually walk by my sofa as i watch TV! Yet alone one like the woman he sees in the kitchen just shouting at the poor boy or the one in the cubbie hole thing that was very angry & evil!
i didn't know this movie had a twist ending so when i was watching it i wasn't looking for it, so i did find it a surprise.
If you like Ghost movies, then watch this, it's scarier than most 18 cert movies!
The Brittas Empire (1991)
Mad & Very funny!
This is probably in my favourite top 3 sitcoms from the 1990's.
The character of Gordon Brittas played by the wonderful Chris Barrie is probably one of the best sitcom characters of all-time.
Anyone who likes British comedy but has yet to see this series, i'd recommend they seek this out because it is brilliant (virtually every episode)!
i'd love to see the cast & writers return for a new series.
Chris Barrie is probably more famous for playing Rimmer in "Red Drawf" but the Brittas Empire is his best work in my opinion.
Each episode is totally mad & far from boring!
Carry on Screaming! (1966)
The best Carry On movie!
i've been a big fan of the Carry On movies since childhood & this is my favourite one!
The theme song is very good as well.
Harry H Corbett of "Steptoe & Son" fame made his one & only appearance in a Carry On movie & very good in it he is too.
It's such a shame so many of the Carry On regulars are no longer with us.
Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist (1995)
Very clever & Very funny
Whilst i'm not a big fan of stand-up comedians, i did find this sitcom based around the comic material of 100's of famous American & Canadian stand-up comedians & the life of their therapist & his son to be very funny indeed.
Apart from the input by those stand-up comedians, the writing by the shows creators was also very funny.
The humour is very clever & amongst the best you'll ever see/hear in a TV comedy show.
How this got axed i will never know, unless the makers didn't want to make it anymore, because i can't believe that ANY TV company in their right mind would want to axe this gem from their programming.
Every episode is so funny probably because of the guest stand-ups that bring their own material to the show.
Maybe one day soon someone somewhere will have a change of heart & make a new series, i'm sure the many stand-up comedians in North America will be queuing up to take part.
