Joe Pickett (2021–2023)

The big problem with this show?

Is the main character Joe Pickett.

The first season was ok. The second season was not as good and was a chore getting through.

The main issue is Joe Pickett. He is not a typical main character. I have not read the books so my opinion is based solely on the character in the show. He is a nice guy but he is seriously flawed. He is weak, indecisive, gets beaten every second episode and I got the impression at one point he might not be playing with a full deck. Sure...salt of the earth guy but a very frustrating main character. Now a show with Verne as the main character would be much more enjoyable.

Tulsa King (2022– )

My brain hurts

This might be the dumbest, most comically horrible show I have seen in a long, long time

I get that Taylor Sheridan gets paid a boat load of money to write shows for Paramount + and I am a fan of some but this show is so poorly thought out and written that, out of guilt, he should give some of that money back

The whole season is one gigantic plot hole. Nothing is realistic. The depth of characters can be measured in tsp's.

Sylvester Stallone is the big draw but his character is laughable and his acting is ridiculous.

I believe if I had a lobotomy with an ice cream scoop I might have enjoyed this mess a lot more.

Rescue Me (2004–2011)

Started off well...

Rescue Me started great. Interesting story, good group of characters...but the show gets repetitive real quick.

The writing is same old same old episode after episode. The female characters are all off. You can tell there were no female writers in the room.

Tommy is a drunk (which gets tired) but then recovers and fights the urge to drink (which also gets tiring), and is not a overly really nice guy (kinda commits a sex crime against wife that seems to be cool).

Mike and Sean are dumb. We get it...but after a while it is beyond realistic how dumb they are.

Lieutenant is probably the best character and when it comes to Tommy's family, again it is over the top how screwed up they are. To the point where it takes away from the show.

I made it to the end of season 4 before giving up...hope you make it further.

9-1-1 (2018– )

Mindless Entertainment

This show is a show that you watch when you want to turn off your brain.

This firehouse is the only one in LA and Angela Bassett's character is the only cop on duty. 24/7. Any crime happens in LA she is there.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's character is a mess. She cries every episode. To the point there should be a drinking game based solely on when and how many times in the episode do the water works happen. With her emotional and mental health issues, she would not be a 9-1-1 dispatcher.

The fire crew is ok...but Buck might have a screw loose. Guy is either very naive or dumb as a bag of bricks.

The Resident (2018–2023)

One of those shows...

This show is ok but it is one of those shows where it would be more enjoyable if the main character, Conrad, left and/or was killed off

Conrad is a holier than now, cringe inducing character that makes makes one roll their eyes at least once an episode.

Get rid of his wallet chain sporting, too cool for school boot wearing character and the show would be much better.

The Old Man: V (2022) Season 1, Episode 5

Started nicely...

The show started well but slowed down as the episodes went along

I cannot figure out if Jeff Bridges has something in his mouth this show or has no bottom teeth.

Once you notice, it is distracting...

Who Killed Sara? (2021–2022)

Great Idea...but...

Started strong, but like La Casa De Papel, the idea was beaten to death and the series should have ended after the first season.

Over dramatic music, decent acting but story lines that are hard to believe.

Update:

The third season is possibly the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. Did actual professional writers work on this?

Embarrassing.

Thanks to the heavens above this series is almost over...

It is actually painful to watch this mess.

But...I have suffered too much...invested too much time...gotta soldier on and finish this marathon of trash.

Brutal

I feel like Elaine from Seinfeld when she had her sub card....

I have watched a lot of bad episodes of the show but I want to finish it at this point

The first two seasons are great. Should have ended then.

The following episodes are repetitive and laughable. The characters become unlikeable.

The dialogue seems written by unemployed soap opera writers....

But I want my free sub so I will continue on torturing myself....
