Dark (2017–2020)
9/10
Highest rating of 9
19 April 2023
One of the more meaningless things is to compare "Dark" to "Stranger Things". These two series may seem similar to someone, but they really aren't. This show is much darker and has none of the funny quirkiness of Stranger Things. Because part of the story takes place in the 80s, it does have some nostalgia in the clothes and music on display. It's more of a match in tone to Twin Peaks, however. With true evil on full display -- not the paranormal kind, but the kind that originates inside the most depraved kind of human. I highly recommend this series to anyone and give it my highest rating of 9. Perfect 10s are reserved for programs I would watch a million times.

6/10
6/10 from me
17 April 2023
I have watched both seasons, and it was announced that the second season is better than the first, but this can only be said when it comes to certain scenes. Overall, it is still a series that is worth paying attention to because of the attempt to make a breakthrough in this genre and some good actors. I wouldn't have watched the whole show to the end if I weren't a fan of the genre that is interested in what is being done in domestic production.

It seems that "Beleznica profesora Miskovica" had a problem with the quality of the script, with toooo many banal situations and dialogues that are unconvincing and difficult to pronounce. Also, poor CGI effects are unwatchable and spoil the overall impression of the series. Although the story is based on a novel, it seems that the author's pretentiousness failed to convey a credible story, making it difficult for viewers to connect with the characters and the plot.

Death Note (2006–2007)
9/10
9/10 should be on the watchlist of any fan genre..
15 April 2023
Death Note is an exciting psychological drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. The story follows an intelligent high school student Yagami, who finds a mysterious notebook that allows him to kill people simply by writing their names. As Light becomes more obsessive and powerful, his spiritual duel with the detective becomes increasingly tense, leading to surprising twists and an unexpected ending. Death Note is visually appealing with great music and animation. However, what makes this anime special are the complex characters and moral dilemmas they pose. Despite some minor pacing issues in the second half of the series, Death Note remains a classic in the world of anime that should be on the watchlist of any fan of the genre.

Kalkanski krugovi (2021– )
6/10
My rating is 6/10. Not bad and It could be better.
15 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Kalkanski krugovi is a series that stands out visually compared to many others, especially the domestic ones that are currently in my focus. All those "forest" shades of color are nicely expressed, even in the costume, and the director of photography has done a great job. The actors are mostly convincing, especially Lausevic and Cetkovic. Mima Karadzic is also very interesting. The story is easy to follow but, like in most domestic series, it is quite slow. This probably has to do with money, but also with the skill of domestic writers. Speaking of the story, it is very reminiscent of the basic plot of the first season of the series "Dug moru", even further on: Father lives alone with his daughter, they are not in good relations and understanding, it is not known what happened to her mother... they come to their villige where there is a mysterious place that everyone is afraid of. The dead appearing to the living and much more simply disrupts the story... Since we have seen all of this before, and for the first time in the domestic production in this "seaside" version, then all of this has less significance in the "forest" version, even though they are not the same in atmosphere and meaning. Therefore, I lost some interest due to so much repetition. Knowing myself, I will still watch the last episodes of Season 2 Kalkanski krugovi, at some point. If you want to watch both series, which I recommend, don't watch them back to back unless you're a big fan of the genre. This would allow you to focus more on each series, instead of getting overwhelmed with too much information and events. My rating is 6/10. Maybe it will improve by the end. I kindly request the production to create a more diverse cast.

Dug moru (2019– )
8/10
8/10 from me, hope that will be 9 soon
15 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Dug Moru is a series that I have been following for years. A drama series with mystical elements directed by Goran Gajic, it was something extraordinary. A totally new perception, good production, a cast that couldn't be seen anywhere else, and most importantly, we believed it all. That ensemble truly played impressively convincingly and slowly drew us into their world, from which it was not easy to escape. The second season spoiled the impression even though the continuation of the story was good. But director Gorcin Stojanovic was not interested in the exceptional setting of the atmosphere of that gloomy island, that Gajic had set up. In this series, the actors are the best of all domestic series. They strongly defend their characters, problems, and relationships. I especially liked that everything happens in a patriarchal environment, even though it is not in the foreground of the story. I enjoyed watching the multiplicity and ambiguity of numerous events and metaphors, which do not exist in other domestic series. In the recently finished 3. Season the impression improved significantly because new directors and screenwriters dared to bring back more mystical and magic to the drama story, that was in danger of being lost. In the first season, the girl played by Ana Lecic searches for the truth about her mother, and in the second season, the boy played by Vule Markovic learns the truth about his mother and father. All with the help of stones and necklaces they have. Both are something completely new and unfairly neglected in the importance of domestic production, but their time is yet to come. The end of the third season left a very good impression on me, which is rare in domestic series. We have already received answers to numerous questions, but we are still interested in what will happen to all the characters and their "stones around their necks". I welcome the attempt to make something different, which may have inspired other authors to approach this genre that did not exist in our country. Deep, powerful, motivating. Well done to the composer, director of photography, locations and the whole team.

Bunar (2022– )
5/10
I give it a 5/10 disappointment :(
15 April 2023
I eagerly binge-watched the series Bunar because I wanted to watch something new, good, and different. At the beginning, the series left me with such an impression in the first two episodes. With exceptional and natural acting from Zoran Cvijanovic, Natasa Ninkovic, Igor Djordjevic, and others, I was sure that something exceptional awaited me. As the episodes progressed, it got worse. The story got lost and even worse: every sense of uniqueness got lost. It seems to me that everything went downhill when the director changed. It looked like they were holding some strings in their hands. I still think that this series had good potential that simply turned into meaninglessness and into already seen stories about mafia. Since more than half of it is nonsensical, despite my high expectations and even greater disappointment, I give it a 5/10.

Crna svadba (2021– )
7/10
From me 7/10
15 April 2023
I have watched all domestic series in the genres that interests me. More or less, nothing is representative or comparable to world productions, but it is interesting to watch and study. The series "Crna Svadba" (Black Wedding) is the most highly regarded, and the filming of the second season has just begun. The first season had an impressive beginning and a catastrophic ending. Personally, I believe that this series would not have been more successful than others if it hadn't been shown on RTS, which has high ratings. The media's attention was drawn to the naked actresses and scenes of violence and sex, although there were many more interesting things in the show. I eagerly await the continuation of the series, regardless of the ending that was below any level. By the way, the series has almost no connection to its title. Slavko Stimac - the best performance.

From me, it gets 7/10.

The Twilight Zone (1959–1964)
8/10
absolute must-watch classic
15 April 2023
To start with a classic that I occasionally return to: The Twilight Zone. A classic science-fiction anthology series that has stood the test of time. With its thought-provoking and often surreal stories, the show tackles complex themes like the human condition, morality, and the nature of reality itself. While some episodes may feel dated in terms of production values, the series remains a masterclass in storytelling and continues to inspire modern filmmakers and writers. For fans of sci-fi and fantasy, The Twilight Zone is an absolute must-watch. And not only does it have to be watched, but it also has to be enjoyed. And occasionally laughed at.

8/10 from me
15 April 2023
The real story is really a real story. Both mom and dad really enjoy playing war. I wasn't expecting it, but I got a good comedy, recognizable life scenes, actors that I trust, and great entertainment. I haven't watched a comedy in a long time because my focus is on other genres now, but I liked this one. The first season is a little better because Gordan Kicic is really funny and unsuccessful in it, but the second season is not bad either. Everything that is not perfect in this series doesn't need to become perfect. It's very good just the way it is. All the praise to the authorial and acting team, and just keep going. 8/10 from me.
