The Night Agent (2023)
Please hire a firearm expert
Watching a clueless bumpkin pretending to be an agent, ex special ops, a cop or soldier will cause you to disenfranchise your audience who are not similarly clueless bumpkins.
Get firearms training if you're going to play a role that involves firearms.
You cannot realize how painful it is to watch someone with zero training or skills pretend to be something they're clearly not.
As we've seen with petulant man child Alec Baldwin, a lack of firearms training can also be deadly.
If you're going to include firearms in your script, make sure they behave realistically and the operator can effectively manipulate them.
It is literally like watching a chimpanzee saw a steering wheel side to side pretending to drive.
Death Hunt (2022)
Difficult to watch.
American & Confederate flags mix with Canadian accents, scenery & apparently stereotypes.
As ex-mil, NRA instructor & competitive shooter the firearms scenes were agonizing. Please enlist a firearms expert to assist.
Actors without finger or muzzle discipline. Firearms without recoil, that don't lock open when empty, fired from the hip without aiming at impossibly close range.
That said, the actress was fit & lovely. The scenery was beautiful. The plot, while perhaps overused was still thought provoking.
The choice of vehicles was excellent. I really liked the Trans Am & police cruiser.
Despite gritting my teeth at the firearm handling & stereotypes, it was reasonably entertaining.
