To be honest, when I read reviews I didnt expect much and movie it self isn't masterpiece, but it will definitely won't leave you without any thoughts.

Overall beautiful movie with interesting and lite storyline about complex woman and her contribution to society!

The Trip to Greece (2020)

Perfect movie to fall asleep

To be honest I didnt have much hope for this movie(trailer), but since there wasn't much to watch at that time due to lack of new movies, I went to this movie.

Probably it is not that bad at all, but since I didnt know these two guys, who apparently have their own fan base, I didn't find much of this movie interesting at all. The plot was linear and not very exciting. At least food gave some more emotions to the movie! Movie gave as well a perspective of Greece as rather plane country, probably not as many could imagine, I am not saying it is not truth, but my wife said now she does not want to go to Greece anymore, because it looked rather rocky, plane and boring except the food because of the movie.

Probably I am not the best reviewer since I missed a bit after refugee camp, because I slept a bit.. I was rather tired already and since movie was very monotonous, it was actually rather good for power nap, the actors voices were very pleasant for that, definitely start for that!

To be honest this is heavyweight, not only this documentary is almost 3 hours long, it is very sad as well and yeah it is old, but real gold, I am sure that nowadays it would not be possible to make such a documentary, not because most of the people on it most probably are dead and new generation does not now what they talk about at all, but as well, because this must be made when people in Russia still had a vision of greater Russia in future and people spoke free, not being afraid of consequences.

It is not like this is something new , since it is well know that before WWII communist first killed and dealt with their own Russia intelligence and opposition, own nation, but it is always great to remember those who have suffered, because of this! And if in the beginning I thought well, this looks way too grey and old to watch, I some how found my self watching it all, almost 3 hours! Such a documentaries should be shown in schools, since they actually makes you think and kind a open your eyes!

Swiss Army Man (2016)

Why??

I must say that trailer looked rather weird, but still the quality of the movie and nature views persuade me to watch it.

And what I hoped to be something weird , but with some sort of meaning useful for me turned out to be something weird without any meaning at all for me, maybe it is because I am bit too old for this, since conversation in movie seemed made for teens and not for grownups.

Overall I am giving 4/10 , just because I liked the nature landscapes and macros, colors and calmness, but rest of this movie seemed totally waste of my time. And of course actors really did best what they could with this scenario, well done!

P.S. I really didn't find Swiss Army Man funny neither I had any revelations from this movie, I actually felt disappointment, because I expected something weird, but with great revelation!

This movie is so bad that it was hard to watch. There are two kinds of bad movies, one where everything is so bad that they are not trying to hide it, and second when it is bad and they are trying to be serious at it makes it 10 times more worse!

I am not speaking about actors or quality of movie, I am speaking about scenario! Seriously who has written the scenario? Even me who have seen only a few C.S.I. TV show series can tell that this movie is really badly made, police looks like monkeys who has no idea what they are doing nor what to do. And even some characters are made so dumb that it makes me ask questions about their sanity, and not because of their personalities, but because of their actions or well lets better say, no actions! Well it is not like it is a giant waste of time it is actually a giant screw up!

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)

I am sad

After watching the first movie, I was really surprised how good it was! I even gave 7 out of 10, but after watching second part I am feeling super disappointed. And not because of the lack of action or special effects, because everything of that was in it, but because of lack of scenario and way too obvious ending of the second movie.

In my opinion it is not a bad thing to go against well known rules how to make movie, to make it more realistic! If someone has to die, he has to die! I was hoping for something unexpected, because there could be a lot to give, but nothing was given!

Over all I felt like the movie creators shown me a cake , but didn't give not even a piece of it to eat! Such a potential, but lack of scenario killed it!

Little Boy (2015)

Movie for family

I didn't expect a lot from this movie, but I wanted to watch something rather light ,just to relax, and this movie gave me this relax feeling! When I read it is going to be about WWII I kind a thought to see some action in it, but there were no real action. The story line was rather predictable, but still interesting to watch to relax. I didn't get anything big out of this movie, but for sure this movie may be great for kids and for family, because it is about believing in dreams, how racism is bad (by seeing how disgusting those who are racist looks), and it kind a gives a view in history of WWII, small enough to not traumatize kids too much as well touch of sadness is in it, what may bring empathy in some of those who will watch it . This is definitely a family movie!

Far from the Madding Crowd (2015)

Finally some romantic

If you are woman who loves romantic movies, this may be for you! This movie consists of romantic scenes ( old school ones, where passion is way over erotic what is good and rare), super twisted love triangle with a woman in mid of it, a woman with super feminine character, tragedy, beautiful music, country side romantic.

Honestly in the beginning I was in doubts if I want to watch it, because I was thinking this movie may be a big waste of time, but it wasn't! It gave me some extra perspective about different passions, devotion and love. I actually watched it from almost very beginning until the end! And I am rather happy that I did, it kind a gave me some pleasure not like many other movies which just kills your time, but in the end does not leave anything notable behind! Of course, maybe this movie will not give you any revelations, but it will surely feed your heart with a beautiful country side scenes and idle!

At least something

Well it is for sure not 8 star movie, but I gave it 8 stars because there is not a lot of good movies for thriller/crime/action genre.

Honestly first 20 minutes were really boring as well the plot for this movie, yeah hundred times seen, but it kind a gave me nostalgic childhood memories when movies were all about same and like this.

So don't think you will get something fresh and super exciting, for sure you will be able to predict almost everything and there will not be too many mind boggling things on it! But the good part is that it was rather fun and I watched it all from 20 minute till the end and yeah there were not too many cheesy scenes, where the main actor is shot and he some how survives and kill all bad guys, but excluding shot part he actually does all these things!

I can't say that actors played brilliantly , but they were good and this movie may be fun if you are not a part from yolo culture or really hard stuff man, for normal people this may be a good entertainment in the name of old days when such a movies were not a deficit!

Danny Collins (2015)

Not a masterpiece, but still something good

I don't know what is the main reason why I watched this movie! It is not like I know British musician Steve Tilston (Danny Collins), but I still had some feeling that I have to watch this movie! One of the main reason why I watched it was 7+ IMDb rating and I wanted to watch some drama.

So what did I get from it! It kind a gave me some feeling of rock star life style, although I found it a bit too easy, because I can't believe that carrier can be so easy at that age and from the point of view of family, I guess this is a corner stone for most super stars!

A few times I was touched by some screenplays, but mostly it was rather same going! And for some moments which seemed really real for me it earned 7 good stars from me! Al Pacino carried out this movie really well even if there were not a lot to carry out, but in my opinion it is even bigger art to carry out something good from not a lot, than from a lot. Also I can praise Annette Bening for her play!

Jurassic World (2015)

Great movie for kids?

Overall I found this movie a bit exciting, but if I would be a kid I might even love it! It is actually made in a way so kids would love it and yeah from that point it is good, but the only thing which may disturb parents may be dinosaurs attacks.

If I have to speak about music, it was epic , kind a remembered me something from Star wars, special effects were really good.

The only , but one of the most important thing for me, when ever I watch a movie is story and I kind a felt that Jurassic Wold was lacking it! I found it rather flat. There were a lot of scenes which were too predictable, action parts were too predictable and of course faith for main characters were kind a known in the movie beginning, in my opinion nothing will surprise an adult, but for kid this may be really good movie!

Dead Rising: Watchtower (2015)

Hoped for more

So, it is not as I am not familiar with dead rising, since I played first dead rising game on xbox 360 when I was a lot younger, so I have some nostalgic childhood memories about dead rising.

When I saw that there is a movie about dead rising, I was kind a excited and I decided to watch it.

It is not like I didn't watch it all, but it kind a didn't give me the effect after which I was.

Overall it gave me kind a feeling that it is game movie, it is kind a good in some way , but there were so many theatrical moments that I felt bad about them. Speaking about movie's story, well I felt that it was rather promising, but that is about it, what is not good at all. I hoped for something more interesting, creative, wise. What can I say, weapons which wouldn't work in real life, or stupid decisions made by key persons, that is not cool at all.

Of course there were some interesting stuff too, like zombies who are smarter than usual ones or scenes from TV studio. As well this movie didn't go cheap for brutality, a lot of bloody scenes and a lot of action.

I personally liked this movie more than disliked, though it was a bit of disappointing, since I hoped for something more wise. If you like zombie movies or you have played dead rising, well you can go and watch it, just so you have seen it, but if you have never played dead rising or you are not fan of zombie movies, you may found this movie a big waste of your time. Though the main actress is really hot, so yeah for her you can go and watch it!

In my opinion this movie goes from 5 to 6 out of 10 in my scale.

Coco Before Chanel (2009)

Beautiful

First I thought this movie is going to be English, but it was in French with English subtitles and I was thinking OK, I will watch it any way. But in the end I found my self so in this movie that I even lost that feeling that it is in French and I kind a loved it.

More or less speaking about movie it self, it gave me that, after what I came for. As this movie is biographical, you can't expect a lot of action, so if you are looking for some adventure or action, juts keep looking.

But if you are looking for a movie, which will give you a feeling that you just have seen really well made art piece, then this is it. Starting from French language, the way how movie looked by it self and actors, this movie is made for pure enjoyment.

And overall I can say that we may think we are better or we may think we are worse than those who were before us or will be after us, but all I got from this movie was, that time changes, but we are still rather same, maybe the form is different, but still same.

American Sniper (2014)

How mad we are?

I know this movie supposed to be a biographical movie and in some way it was, but I kind a felt it was missing something even though this movie was made about rather young man.

This movie was made in kind a regular way, you know, Hollywood has it's own style and this movie wasn't revolutionary . I don't say it is bad, but it is also nothing special and sometimes even makes everything too predictable.

However I have to admit that I found this movie very watchable and I watched it from very beginning till the end and my view was more or less concentrated on the screen. So it means that there were quite some action scenes which make my blood pump quicker and also many scenes which made my heart feel sad and made me thoughtful. And if you are looking for a movie which will boost your wellness then this is not one of those.

This movie for sure will leave you with more question than answers. And if you want to get away from real life problems this movie won't help you to escape though it will expand your view!

Gone Girl (2014)

Something fresh

More or less this movie for sure has something to offer. Well when I read that this movies is going to be a drama, mystery and thriller, I was expecting something good and lucky more than two hours gave me what I wanted. In the beginning I kind a had feeling that I know what is actually going on and I was thinking , really?! Is it it? But then everything become more and more tangled and with it more and more interesting. Though there were not that much action, I could feel tension from the very first minute of the movie. And all together made my time fly away, I even didn't look at my watch once, so more or less this movie is going to take your attention and will carry you away from everything else. Of course I have to mention, that actors were really good! Well if I would have to rate how well they were I would give 9 out of 10, but overall I will give this time to this movie 7.5 out of 10, because there were few thing what kind a made me think, really? And as well I was expecting something more from the end, but any way I am suggesting everyone to watch this movie, especially if you enjoy brain teasers in a very fine way!

A way how to forget about daily life

I kind a liked many things concerning graphics and scale of this movie, but more or less I wasn't convinced about this movie until last minute, so don't get too judgmental till you see the movie till very last minute.. Actors were very well as well, I liked variety of them and the way how they were messing with me as a viewer. Though many things were very predictable. Overall this movie was a nice way how to run away from daily maze. In particular, I would highlight the graphics, music as well the way how this movie was given, especially with a lot of questions and just a few answers.. And yeas, I would recommend to watch this movie, and I hope to see the second movie soon...
