It's great that the show grew along with the characters as the series progressed. To have David's character married now just like he was in real life was perfect.

The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Girl That Loses Things (1961)
"That's the right answer."
Ricky has been breaking dates with his girlfriend Joyce lately. He broke a date with her at the Glee Club concert because he had a term paper to finish. He now has to break another date with her because he has to help his mother set up chairs at the Woman's Club.
Meanwhile Ricky has been accidentally running into an attractive girl all over campus. He first runs into her at the drinking fountain after she left her tennis racket there. His girlfriend Joyce has been noticing that he's been running into the same girl lately. She thinks he has been breaking dates with her to meet this girl. It's compounded by the fact that he breaks a date with her and then is seen with the attractive girl at the at the malt shop. Of course this makes Joyce even more suspicious of Ricky.
It was fun to watch Roberta Shore return is her character joyce. The boys typically don't date the same girl twice and it was good to see a crossover.

"These two girls were alongside the road, and we picked them up."

Harriet and Clara tell them that they are worried because they trust them and that they both have that settled married look. In a handsome, dashing way of course.
After bowling, Ozzie and Joe are driving on their way home. They come to a stop and Ozzie gets out of the car along with Joe. They have come across two beautiful girls who are having trouble with their car. Ozzie realizes that the girls are probably out of gas and they offer to take the girls to the gas station.
They all get in the front seat of the car, with one of the girls sitting on Ozzie's lap. They take off for the gas station and as they cross the corner, Harriet and Clara are in their car. They see the boys with the girls.
It's always fun to see Ozzie and Joe schemed to make their wives jealous. This was a funny episode to watch.

"No offense pop, we're on your side."

When Dave and Ricky come home, they tell of their plight to Ozzie and Harriet. Ozzie tells them that when he was their age he used to take girls on cheaper dates. This allowed him to save money so that once in awhile he could take his date on more expensive dates. Harriet suggests that they tell their girls that if they take them unless expensive dates then they will save up enough money to go to the Rendezvous Room.
The boys submit their ideas to their girlfriends and their girlfriends hesitate at first but then accept.
This was a fun episode to watch but it makes you wonder if this was an episode that was written for season 9. Still it is a very fun episode to watch.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Bowling with the Wives (1961)
"Let's give him half a point for form."
Ozzy, Joe, Darby, and Doc are bowling on their regular night. They're having a good time and making jokes.
When Ozzie returns home he tells Harriet how much she enjoys bowling. He says he thinks it's a mistake when people don't get enough exercise. Harriet asks him if he is implying that she needs to get more exercise and lose weight. He says he didn't mean that but it wouldn't hurt for Harriet and the girls to do something to get their blood circulating once in awhile.
When Harriet, Clara, Sally, and June, are playing bridge Ozzie comes home. He makes a casual remark about them getting in their exercise today. The girls asked what that's supposed to mean and Harriet responds that it's just a private joke. He tells them that the girls need to find a hobby that inspires them and that they enjoy. He says that's why he and the other guys go bowling because they enjoy it. After he leaves this prompts the girls to realize that they should go bowling with the boys next Thursday.
When Darby, Joe, and Doc, find out that their wives are going bowling with them next time they drive over to see Ozzie and they are not happy.
This was a very entertaining episode to watch and it was well written. It was fun to see June and Sally have bigger Parts in this episode as June usually does not have many lines. This was good to see all six of them interacting with each other in a very comical episode.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Dancing Lessons (1961)
"One, Two, Cha Cha Cha."
This was a hilarious episode of Ozzie and Harriet to watch. Again Ozzie and Joe get themselves into trouble and the results are hilarious.
Ozzie and Joe come home to find David and Ricky doing some work for the Woman's Club. Joe finds a flyer for a dance next Saturday night. They do not want to go dancing and decide to go bowling that night to get out of it.
When the girls come home and the dance is brought up, Harriet and Clara surprise Ozzie and Joe. They announce the boys do not have to go to the dance as they are on the committee and will not have a lot of time to dance.
Ozzie and Joe are relieved at first but then wonder why the girls don't want them at the dance? Perhaps they need to brush up on the cha cha cha and get some lessons in order for their wives to want them to be there?
They end up starting with teaching each other in the garage from a book. After David and Ricky walk in and tease them, Ozzie and Joe decide to take lessons from a professional.
Great episode from start to finish.

After testing some areas about where the screen would go, Ozzie decides against the project. Cutting into the wall is a little more serious than he thought it would be. Now he has to figure out what to do with the TV.
Nice episode to watch. Plenty of good humor.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Our Man in Alaska (1961)
"Today our man in Alaska informs us..."
This was an intriguing episode of Ozzie and Harriet full of mystery and who is Our Man in Alaska.
It was good to see a mystery on a show that is normally light-hearted. It still is though and the mystery is done very tastefully in keeping with the theme of the show.
Rick, David, Wally, Fred, and the other boys are setting up a ping pong in the basement of the fraternity house. There they begin to share some secrets with each other. Wally tells the other guys at the fraternity not to tell Ginger that he was that the fraternity studying Saturday night. David asks him if he was at the movies with the girl he met at the library. Wally confirms that he was and asked him not to tell anybody. Fred tells everybody that he's going to pin his girlfriend Sally sometime in the future. These are all secrets that they don't want any of the guys to share.
Sometime later Wally comes back to the fraternity house. He was supposed to have a meeting with Ginger but she never showed up. He waited for her for a half an hour but she was a no-show. David comes in with a copy of the school newspaper and says that there's an article in there about him. It is in Katie's Corner a gossip column. It's titled Our Man in Alaska. Here Wally finds out that the secret of him going out with another girl behind Ginger's back is now printed in the paper. Fred pinning his girlfriend's Sally also made it into the paper as well. Thus Begins the search for who could be telling Katie these secrets about the fraternity.
This was a great episode to watch. It was very funny and I loved that there was a mystery as to who this person was. Definite change of pace for the show but it was very good to watch.

Ozzie and the boys head downtown to go shopping. They discover some sweaters that Harriet might like and decide that the beige one will be the best one since Harriet likes beige. While there they run in to Clara Randolph. Did Clara notice them and if she did will she be able to keep the secret from Harriet?

"I've heard of captive audiences before but this is ridiculous."
Ozzie sneaks into the house because he knows Harriet is baking some cakes. Before he can grab one Harriet catches him. He asks why she's been baking the cakes. She says it's for the charity bazaar. He needs to pay $3 or he needs to keep his hands off the cake. He asks her why she's baking three cakes instead of one as she usually does. She says it's because she's trying to help two friends out. One is having a baby and the other had a mambo lesson this week. Ozzie tells her that he doesn't like it because it seems that they are always asking her to do something extra.
The boys come home with curtains from the fraternity house and ask Harriet if she can wash them. She agrees because the lady who was supposed to couldn't because she had to go bowling. Ozzie is not happy because he feels that Harriet is getting taken advantage of.
Agrees that he may be right and asks him to take the cakes down to the charity bizzarre for her. But Harriet finds herself being asked to entertain the children for a PTA benefit. Ozzie is upset because he feels once again that Harriet is doing more than what she should. He convinces her that she shouldn't be seeing for the PTA and decides to head over to the school and let them know of her decision.
When Ozzie gets to the school he chickens out and cannot tell the ladies. Of course he cannot go back until Harriet that he failed so he has to find an act that will replace her to entertain the kids.
This was another fun episode to watch not necessarily one of their better ideas but it was still a good one.

It seems that Darby has the been collecting rocks for a hobby. Darby is going to display his rock collection at this year's Hobby show.
Talking with Darby has renewed Ozzie's interest and his determination to build the barbecue. Ozzie decides that that is what he would like to display at the hobby show.
It was a decent enough episode to watch filled with the usual jokes befitting of the series. I enjoyed watching the episode.

This is his only link to putting together the clues of finding out who Norma is and asking her to the dance.
It was a fun episode to watch. Very creative idea to try and find a girl based off of the charm bracelet that she wears.

They have no idea what is in the envelope and are excited to find out what is in it after all of these years. Preparations for Ricky's birthday are underway and what to get him comprise this episode. Also the mystery of what Uncle Walter could have possibly gotten him.
This was a good episode to watch and it aired just a few days before Ricky Nelson's actual birthday.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Extra Sensory Perception (1961)
"Yeah, Exdisaspeder Subscription"
This was truly a fine episode to watch. It was well written, there were plenty of gags worthy of the series. I could watch this episode over and over again.
Ozzie has been roped into another lecture at the Women's Club with Harriet and Clara. (Joe is at a business meeting). The subject is Extra Sensory Perception or ESP for short. The guest speaker talks about how it works and that women are more likely than men to have it. This sparks the competition between husbands and wives. Are Ozzie and Joe or Harriet and Clara the ones with the greater Extra Sensory Perception?
Truly a wonderful episode to watch. Always love Ozzie and Joe together.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Selling Rick's Drums (1961)
"Maybe she's a drummer."
The eternal triangle rears it's head again this time between Dave and Ricky a story not often used.
Dave and Rick happen upon a beautiful girl that they run into on campus at school. They have no idea who she is or what her name is. Later Dave and Bruce see the girl post something on the campus bulletin board. They discover that her name is Betty and that she is looking to buy some good used drums. Dave decides that he can meet this girl by having Ricky sell his drums.
Convincing Ricky with going along with the idea is going to be tricky without letting him know what's going on.
This was a decent enough episode to watch. I'm not too fond of watching love triangles. It's not a bad episode it's still a good episode to watch but I enjoy watching other episodes of the series.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Pen and Pencil Set (1961)
"It's a little late, but Merry Christmas."
A Christmas episode in April. Dave is struggling to find a date and Harriet is wrapping a present.

The family comes out to help him pick it up when Ricky finds an unopened Christmas present. It isn't addressed to anyone so the family doesn't know who it belongs to. They open it and discover it is a pen and pencil set.
The long process of trying to figure out who gave them a pen and pencil set for Christmas begins. Ozzie and Harriet begin to subtly ask their friends while Dave and Ricky think about who gave them the gift.
A nice light hearted episode from start to finish and a pleasure to watch.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: A Question of Suits and Ties (1961)
"Never underestimate the stubbornness of a man"
This was a good episode of Ozzie and Harriet that chronicled the change of the times.
Our story begins with Fred, Wally and Rick playing football in beat up old clothes. Their girlfriends come by and see them playing. They ask if the fraternity party is still on and the boys confirm it is. They tell the girls it is very informal and they can wear whatever they want. The girls take offense to this and that's when David makes his untimely appearance. He is wearing a suit and tie for work. This prompts the girls to lament that the boys don't dress up for their dates anymore.
The girls get together and inform the boys that they will not go on anymore dates with them unless they wear a white shirt, tie, and a dark suit at certain locations. Other locations call for at least a white shirt and tie with appropriate outer attire for the occasion.
The boys won't budge and decide to continue to dress poorly until the girls give in.
It was a good episode to watch and fun to see how it does end.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Little House Guest (1961)
"Whoever heard of a boy named Betty?"
Barry Martin comes by to see Ozzie with a bit of news. His mother is going to have a baby! Strange he didn't mention that in the previous episode he was on? (Two Small Boys and a Dog)
Barry is really hoping that he is going to have a baby brother instead of a baby sister. Barry's father stops by and Harriet offers to have Barry stay overnight sometime. His father asks if they could watch Barry while he takes his wife to the hospital. They agree and the Nelsons prepare for their little house guest.
Ozzie is brilliant in this episode and is perfect for this situation. It was delightful to watch this unfold.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: Two Small Boys and a Dog (1961)
"Don't get stuck in the cement"
Dave, Ricky and their girlfriends are out on a picnic with the girls' brothers. They are having a nice time when a lost dog interrupts their picnic. The girl's brothers, Barry and Steve, are instantly enthralled with the dog.
They want to take him home but are first told they need to find the owner. Who gets to take the dog home, they wonder? Dave suggests they take turns watching the dog until the owner responds.
After a week with the ad in the paper, there has been no reply. So Barry and Steve come to David to ask who should get to keep the dog. Dave tells them they should see a lawyer and the boys go to see Mr. Kelley.
Mr. Kelley turns the case over to Dave and he has to make the difficult decision of who gets the dog.
This was a fun episode to watch as everyone had their own opinion on who should get the dog but as always it has a twist ending.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Buckingham (1959)
"Yeah, why don't we ask him"
The fraternity is expecting a baby. David comes home with a big smile on his face and Ozzie and Harriet are curious as to why he's so happy. Phil and Helen Carter (Phil is a member of the fraternity) are expecting a baby. Everyone at the fraternity house is very excited. It is the first baby to be born to the fraternity while Dave is in college. He has been appointed to be the chairman to find the baby a present.
Rick comes in with the news about a car, called a Buckingham. It appears that Wally has thinking about buying an Old English car. One thing leads to another and Dave and Ricky end up being the ones who buy the car. It doesn't get very good gas mileage and the boys begin to wonder if they've bought a white elephant.
It was a cute episode to watch. This is such a light-hearted and entertaining show to watch and this is another good episode.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Little Black Box (1959)
"This is one of the trickiest football plays I've ever seen"
This episode was a part of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, favorite memories. This is another classic must-see episode.
It starts off with Joe and Ozzie coming home from bowling. Joe tells Ozzie that Clara will ask why why he didn't call her so she could hear the pins drop. Ozzie says that being curious is just part of being a woman. He says that as they walk in and Clara and Harriet over here them. They obviously are offended and say that men are just as curious as women.
The girls scheme to create a black box in order to catch the man into asking what it is about thereby proving their argument. Ozzie and Joe are going to fall for it at least not so easily yet. It becomes a battle between husbands and wives as they can see who can break first.
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet: The Full House (1959)
"You've got termites all right."
There are problems at the fraternity house where Dave and Ricky attend. They had to bring in an expert in to figure out what it was and the experts diagnosis was termites. Now everybody that lives at the fraternity has to find a place to stay while the fraternity house is fumigated.
At the Nelson household, Ozzie and Harriet are preparing for a weekend vacation up in the mountains with Doc Williams. Ozzy is not too keen on the idea and wishes he could spend his weekend doing something else.
The boys return home and inform them that the fraternity is shut down due to termites. They ask if they can have some of the fellas from there stay at their house while repairs are being made. Ozzie and Harriet agree and prepared to host.
This is what Ozzy was hoping for and he calls Doc Williams and cancels their weekend plans. Wally stops by with more guys from the fraternity and asked if they can stay with the Nelson's. Soon the entire fraternity is at the Nelson household and Ozzie and Harriet are busy taking care of a bunch of college men.
It was a fun episode to watch and it was brilliant how Ozzie followed through by having all of their extras for the fraternity able to appear in this episode. It was a nice bit of continuity to see. This was a great episode to watch.
