After seeing this and almost getting physically ill during the scene with his wife strapped in the chair, I watched the Dentist II thru scrambled cable.. :-) (ran across it by chance..). Bernsen is much more humorous in the sequel.. Will there be a 3rd movie?

Dated, but still a classic

Though it may seem tame compared to today's movies, back then it was a masterpiece, and actually still is. Of course if this were to happen in real life today, most everyone has a cell phone so Mr. unseen truck driver would've been pulled over by the time they reached Chuck's Cafe.
Weaver's one chance to confront the driver was at the stranded school bus and he blew it. There are a couple of good web sites out there dedicated to this movie. It gives info about the two trucks used, specs on the vehicles, where it was filmed, etc.
At the end, hopefully a new David Mann has appeared: One who's more manly, will stand up to his wife, quit whining, and go kick Steve Henderson's rear end.
I try and catch it each time it comes on.
