Cruz y raya.com (2000)
Best Comedy TV Show ever
Now, in Spain this is one of the Comedys TV Shows ever. Cruz y Raya's humor is very fresh and never it become old... These humorists can transform the worst comic script in a amusing, hilarious scene. In my opinion, not only Jose and Juan (Cruz y Raya) are great, all their crew do a great work. Although the time passes, I will always remember all of their characters like (Bartolo, Juan De Dios, Superblasa....) and all of their famous quotes.
Spider-Man (2002)
Spider-Man is alive!!!
This is the best comic book movie ever (with X2)... Sam Raimi does a great adventure/action movie, with a wonderful script with a big special effects and a perfect cast. Sam Raimi's experience, in doing movies, get a movie with a strong narrative, doing that the public don't get bored in all of the movie lenght.
The script picks great moments of the comic book like the Spiderman genesis or the final fight between Spidey & GG (a flick of the Green Goblin's Last Stand comic). Regarding many changes about of the original comic (organical webshooters or the new Green Goblin costume), on the contrary that the comic book fans, They don't mind me and I think are good for modernize the movie.
About the cast, I have to say that Tobey Maguire is a great actor and is the perfect Spider-Man (Tobey for Spider-Man, is the same that Hugh Jackman for Wolverine or Christopher Reeve for Superman) now I can't see another actor as Spidey if he isn't Tobey, this boy have a great future. Willem Dafoe is a incredible Green Goblin, he is a frightening villain (like Jack Nicholson as the Joker). Kirsten Dunst also is good as MJ (although Mary Jane, in the movie, seems more Gwen Stacy than MJ). And the rest of the principal cast (James Franco, Rosemary Harris, Cliff Robertson and J.K. Simmons) are very good with regard to their roles.
The special effects are a great attractiveness of the movie and are incredibly good, when Spidey and GG are CGI is like they were alive... yes, I said GREEN GOBLIN & SPIDER-MAN ARE ALIVE.. THAT'S INCREDIBLE!!!
In my opinion, Spider-Man is great movie, and it don't have anything to envy to other movies like Superman, Batman, X-Men or the Crow. 8/10
Men in Black II (2002)
Men In Black 2 are as amusing and pleasant as the first part.
For some people that this sequel repeats the same formula that made that Men In Black 1 were successful, it seems that it is not very original, but this movie has given the public what wanted: but of the same, more Men In Black, only with the variant that this movie has more action, more special effects, more characters... in summary it takes the same thing that Men In Black 1 but more enlarged in the whole aspects. The main characters change papers in this second movie, in the first agent K is the expert and agent J the beginner, but in second film it is on the contrary the agent J has to return the memory to the agent K and to put it a day on the new mission of the MIB but J sometimes acts as a beginner. Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are impeccable again in their roles but Will Smith has won mainly in comic protagonism this time thanks to Frank the dog, I have liked a lot that gives him more protagonism. It is a pain that Linda Fiorentino didn't repeat as agent MIB but it is compensated with the election of Lara Flynn Boyle like bad girl and Rosario Dawson like the "sentimental" partner of J, Lara has made a good work but of Rosario Dawson has been a little more irregular. I didn't like at all to see Johnny Knoxville like the typical fool bad boy, but it went good see again (repeating papers) Rip Torn and the histrionic Tony Shalhoub.
Perhaps the position of the script of this movie is not as original as that of the previous one but this it is able to entertain and to make laugh more even than the first movie of the Men In Black. Lastly, to say that the special effects have improved enough, mainly that of the worm of the meter.
Man on the Moon (1999)
A providential movie...
An incommensurable movie that shows the brilliant work of the director Milos Forman together with Jim Carrey's sublime interpretation they transform Man on the moon into one of the best biographical movies that have seen together with A beautiful mind. Forman and Carrey show us the life of the comic Andy Kaufman, a person of which you don't know when he is acting and when he is not. The movie has an excellent script that frames the life of Kaufman and a great direction of the director of Amadeus. In this movie, next to The Truman show, Jim Carrey demonstrates that he can carry out serious papers and interpreting them in an excellent way, also to highlight the good one to make of the actor Danny of Vito like George Shapiro and even that of Courtney Love like the wife of Kaufman (although this girl doesn't walk very guessed right in the world of the cinema). Also voucher the pain to mention the excellent sound band (mainly REM and to their two songs Man on the moon and The great beyond).
A movie for people that he likes to see good cinema and for Jim's followers Carrey, they won't come out disappointed with this movie.
The Majestic (2001)
Good work of Dabaront and Carrey
The cinema director Frank Dabaront shows us (another time) his talent to direct movies like he already made with Shawshank Redemption. I have liked most of the things of this film: good atmosphere (similar atmosphere to that of Shawshank Redemption), good music, good direction, Jim Carrey's titanic intervention and also Martin Landau's human intervention that almost made me cry of the very that Landau made it. The only thing that I find difficult of believing of this movie is the script that seems too surrealist (Carrey falls of a bridge, he loses the memory and in a town they take it as a hero of war....). In spite of everything it is it a good movie and it clears us some the most commercial cinema in Hollywood.
Little Nicky (2000)
Funny supernatural comedy
Delirious and histrionic but at the same time amusing and funny comedy about angeles and demons that if at the same time we join it with something of Rock (Ozzy forever) and a speaking dog very nerve, we are among the last of the best movies in Adam Sandler and making us forget of pathetic his movies as for example The WaterBoy. The movien cannot maybe win an Oscar but in Little Nicky what counts is the supernatural entertainment that proposes this comedy and all its characters, except that of Patricia Arquette that makes a painful performance (this character is also the typical one of the one that the main character falls in love). Amusing Film for who he likes the entertainment cinema, This movie doesn't have nothing else that this: to pass a good time.
Inspector Gadget (1999)
Adaptation not completely bad but neither faithful to the original
The idea of making a movie on the character of cartoons the Inspector Gadget didn't seem completely bad and it could be quite amusing... but at the end the movie is a true entertainment (for the children) but it is not completely original to the series, the blame has it the script and certain characterizations of some characters. Matthew Broderick didn't make a bad performance like the Inspector Gadget. Michelle Trachtenberg neither was not well completely as Penny, the Inspector Gadget's niece. Although Brain the dog instead of having been a real dog could have been a dog made with CGI effects like in Scooby-Doo, I believe that it had been this way more similar to the cartoon character.
In the movie he/she is finally seen the face to the Dr. Claw but Ruppert Everett it was not the most suitable to make of the Inspector's eternal enemy Gadget, it was not a good performance certainly. We also see that the Inspector's boss appears Gadget that, contrarily to the cartoons, it doesn't trust the Inspector Gadget when carrying out the missions. We also see that the Inspector Gadget's car speak and it is also aesthetically contrary to the car of the series of cartoons. It is not very well the character of the mayoress of Riverton, besides a painful performance it seems that the character is a little stupid. Separated, in the movie they have been allowed to incorporate a new character (the doctor Brenda Bradford), of which the Inspector falls in love Gadget, so that the main character doesn't seem a group of screws and nuts but rather he is a human being, the idea it is not bad but I eat we already know it is a typical element of Disney in his movies. In short that the movie is amusing, the children can love it but to some that they loved the series of cartoons he/she can feel enough defrauded with the movie.

Eye of the Beholder (1999)
Amazing thriller
The movie of Stephan Elliot is a strange thriller that begins with the "crazy" spy pursuing a dangerous criminal and it finishes being as her bodyguard which cannot admit him the love that feels toward her. Good movie that, with an excellent script, he/she tries to get us the attention about the loves Platonists, of what would happen if we are not able to make it front and what happens when we act too much late. For a lot of people this movie is bad, but I believe that Eye of the Beholder apart from entertainment takes an important message transforming to this movie into the best adaptation of the book of Marc Behm.
Great work of the managing Stephan Elliot and a good interpretation of Ashley Judd. Ewan McGregor makes a great paper main character demonstrating that he is a great actor and that he knows how to make many more things apart from being the young Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Garou Densetsu (1994)
Good movie but...
The movie of anime based on the popular saga of video games Fatal Fury it is a good adaptation although it doesn't end up putting on to the height of Street Fighter: The Animated Movie. I like enough the movie although I had preferred that it had been based on some of the parts of the video game and that they had not been invented a new adventure that it is taken out of the series of Saint Seya, but even so they guessed right in the new characters of the history (The Gaudemus and company) and they even reflected faithfully the 4 main characters (the Bogard Brothers, Joe and Mai) that are the same ideas that I had of them like in the video games. The pity is that some characters of the saga that some appear in the movie making a " cameo " (Billy Kane, Jubei Yamada, Richard Myer, Geese...), they don't have the protagonism that I would like them to have like in the saga. It is also missed that characters like Blue Mary or Ryuji Yamazaki doesn't appear in the movie. It was not bad idea to leave the movie open to a second part like leave when Billy Kane speaks with his master Howard when it is training. It is not a bad movie, it is a great movie with the main characters of Fatal Fury, but the pity is that the history was not centered in some concrete video game of Fatal Fury.
Double Dragon (1994)
Movie without many resources
It seemed easier to make a movie of the video game Double Dragon that of other video games like Street Fighter or the own one Super Mario Bros, but at the end he/she didn't have good results because the movie didn't have enough economic resources and it missed the script a little more than imagination. The history of the locket Double Dragon is what moves the script of this movie. Thanks to this we see that the Lee brothers makes the same thing that in the video games, to fight against street bands. The siblings Lee is interpreted poorly by two previously unknown Mark Dacascos and Scott Wolf that certainly don't make an effort anything in interpreting them, the fight that has the siblings Lee against all the street bands would be also worthy of admiring if it was not for the horrible sound band that accompanies the whole movie. Neither tell us that Robert " T1000 " Patrick guessed right in interpreting Shuko. Robert tries to make a good interpretation but frankly this character was not for the, neither it is well to see to Abobo like to a secondary wicked fool that is like he is after his transformation. For my the only interesting character in the movie is that of Alyssa Milano.
Even after everything, the script of Double Dragon doesn't come out much of the argument of the own video game (not how in Street Fighter) but the problem that had this film was that the script was not enough good and that neither a lot of money was invested in making this movie.
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
Some wonderful Crowe and Howard
A wonderful movie that counts us the great history of the prize Nobel John Nash and their fight against the schizophrenia and one of the best movies of Ron Howard!!!. A history that Howard directs and he counts us the history in a simple but at the same time sublime way, a brilliant one
" biography " that makes us understand the character (with the help of the touching intervention of Russell Crowe) and like he goes being able to make in front of their fight against their mental illness.
I am surprised as Howard plays with the inability of distinguishing the real of the unreal of Nash and it is able to make us believe that the main character hallucinations are real and then he gives us the surprise that it is totally the opposite. A movie that is so majestic that I don't have words to define it. I love the way in that the whole plot is developed; as Nash, thanks to their willpower and the support and their wife's love, it is able to overcome the great problem that it comes him torturing in the whole history. A splendid sound band that accompanies and it supplements perfectly with a real history and with a good atmosphere and screenplay.
The part of the interpretations neither should spend for high in this history they are already of the best that I have seen, as that of Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Christopher Plummer.... and mainly the special interpretation of Russell Crowe (For my it is the best interpretation in his career like actor) that it gives a tremendous air of realism to the character as if the one was the own John Nash. A brilliant movie for people that they like the biographical movies and for people that is unconditional fan of Russell Crowe. I love this movie, for my it is one of the best works of Ron Howard and one of the best movies of century beginning.
Black Hawk Down (2001)
Ridley's Best!!
The best movie of the director Ridley Scott in these last years (much better than the wasted Hannibal), in which counts us the warlike conflict of Somalia, almost ten years ago that involved the participation of the American troops as the Rangers and the Delta Force. A marvelous movie that directs with great ability Ridley Scott that makes us see as the American soldiers, after falling one of its helicopters, faces in a critical situation amid the capital of Somalia. Everything it counted with a great atmosphere and magnificent screenplay. The movie is counted as its it was a documentary; as Steve Soderberg's movie, Traffic.
The only thing that could be attributed to this movie is that it can sometimes be too long. In spite of being a warlike movie it has good interpretations like those of Josh Harnett, Eric Bana or Ewan McGregor (although it seems lie for my it is one of his best interpretations).
Die Another Day (2002)
Bond lives another day.
After watching the British agent James Bond 's last four movies (and the four in which Pierce Brosnan appears as the British agent), I can only say that this movie is the best of all and it even overcomes to the movies with Timothy Dalton like Bond and to part of the movies that made Roger Moore.
With a new director change, Lee Tamahori that makes it much better than the 3 previous (the only one that made it more or less well was Roger Spottiswoode [Tomorrow never dies]) and he works well a script with in that the action and the intrigue don't allow the spectator to rest. Die Another Day is a great show that discharges adrenaline for each second of footage.
A form of giving freshness to the saga is the agent secret and new partner of action of Brosnan: the agent Jinx (Halle Berry could be included among one of the best girls Bond of the whole saga), in which Halle Berry makes an exceptional work and she connects totally with Pierce Brosnan in the movie. Neither we can forget to the other main characters like the other girl Bond, Rosamund Pike that doesn't make it anything bad (I personally miss for this paper to Denise Richards, I had liked but). brilliant Toby Stephens as the rash multimillionaire (Toby is better villainous that others as Sean Benn or Jonathan Pryce) and Rick "Fast and Furious" Yune. All these 5 characters form the great show of movie action with impossible scenes as that of the fencing fight, the scene of the cars in the palace of ice (the Aston Martin one of the best cars of Bond) or the impressive final fight in the airplane of Graves. Neither in the movie they can lack the numerous and already repeated secondary of Bond like M, "Monty Phiton" Q and Michael Madsen like agent of the C.I.A. . (although I miss a lot in this movie to Robbie Coltrane like Zukovski). Summary: If you want go to watch the best movie of Pierce Brosnan like Bond I tell you that as this it is the one that you should see. Brosnan together with Sean Connery they are the best James Bond of the saga, I hope Brosnan takes a lot in retiring of the British agent's character.
Charlie's Angels (2000)
It could have been a good action film...
The film had good main characters, good direction, good cast, good production means but.... ¡¡¡what script class is this???!!! but it had been for the horrible script this movie it would be worthy of seeing.
Although the name of the main characters was not the same one that in the series, the actresses that incorporated the angels were worthy for that paper (Díaz, Barrymore & Liu) but for blame of this stupid script they don't seem the angels that it is remembered of the series and that I triumph during several years. The special effects of the movie (that seems to be they are taken out of Matrix) they don't agree a lot with the movie.
Charlie's Angels a project that it has triumphed wrongly to have that final result that McG has carried out, and that it could have been more if it had taken care the script more carefully. The only thing that can survive of this film is the sensual actress Cameron Díaz and some comic scenes on the part of Bill Murray.
Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
¡¡ Yeah, Austin Myers!!
Mike Myers makes us laugh with the last and definitive again (or not) the secret agent's movie, bumpkin and English Austin Powers in this Goldmember. Myers returns with its jokes something clownish but very good and it also returns with its parodies of James Bond with the character Goldmember and the fictitious movie of Austin Powers (AustinPussy).
I love the movie because it also combines jokes and references of the previous Austin Powers (The joke of the satellite and those of the sharks with laser), one can also see the father of Austin Powers (Michael Caine) paper that was about to incorporate is Connery. The movie also includes, for my, the best girl of the Austin Powers' saga, the singer Beyoncé Knowles (Foxxy Cleopatra) much better than Heather Graham and Elizabeth Hurley.
Not alone the humor of this film resides in the versatile Myers and in its characters (Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard...) but we can also spend well them with Mini-me (now Mini-Austin) and their endless weeds with Scott.
A very good blow of freshness for film is the one of including cameos like Steven Speilberg, Tom Cruise, Danny De Vito or Britney Spears (Uaauuuuhhh!!!).
This is Austin Powers!!! Glamour, Amusement, Laughs, Action and a lot..... of Gold!!! This is the new movie of Myers with we can laugh it, the question that it comes us to the head is: Will there be Austin Powers 4?
Astérix & Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre (2002)
As in the comics and in the cartoons!
Brilliant second adaptation of the characters of Goscinny and Uderzo, Asterix and Obelix is. Based on some of the best comics in the characters Asterix and Cleopatra, This film is better and original that the own comic and that the movie of cartoons.
They repeat as Asterix and Obelix the French actors Christian Clavier and the genuine Gerard Depardieu again and being as the comic stars of this movie again I also join with the Egyptian architect Numerobis (Jammel Debbouze) one of the best characters in the movie. Mónica Bellucci also this brilliant one in their paper like Cleopatra (ending up us to remind Liv Taylor) although they suffer a wrong change the characters of Caesar (Alain Chabat) and Panoramix (Claude Rich) that are not so faithful apparently to the characters of the comic (to see Asterix et Obelix contre Cesar), neither the sound band is not as good as in the first part.
Great atmosphere of the movie and also great unfolding of special effects and digital effects that make us see the movie as if we were seeing the own cartoons of Goscinny and Uderzo. In summary an amusing movie for the whole public. Of 10 stars I give 6 to this brilliant film.
The 6th Day (2000)
Arnie like in Total Recall
An entertaining action film and science-fiction, with a topic of present time like it is the clonation and the brilliant Schwarzenegger putting the action to it collides.
I like this futurist film to be a movie of science-fiction in which the Austrian hero demonstrates that he has left a lot of time to give war and it is not as old as it is thought and he/she reminds me of one of my favorite films, played by Schwarzenegger, Total Recall although it is not directed by Paul Verhoeven but the good one is noticed to make of the director Roger Spottishwoode (Tomorrows never dies).
Neither it is necessary to discard the special effects of this movie that are very spectacular (the scenes of shootings with guns laser and the helicopters charter). In short if you want to watch a good movie of current science fiction and with Schwarzenegger to the head, this it is your film. The cast is secondary as the veteran Robert Duvall, Tony Goldwyn, Michael Rapaport, Michael Rooker... they are brilliant in their roles.
Las aventuras de Zipi y Zape (1982)
Zipi and Zape, it is not as bad as it seems.
Las aventuras de Zipi y Zape, the movie is not as bad as it seems. If we watch the movie the gags and mischiefs of the movie are the same ones that we could see if we read some comic of the characters of Escobar the same thing that the flowing amusing script as the histories of the own Zipi and Zape.
That the movie seems something infantile it is normal because it is played by 2 children. To me, for that to me it concerns, I like this movie, it has a good realization, a good script (original and faithful to the histories of the twins, the same as a good atmosphere) and mainly fidelity to the characters and good interpretations: to highlight Francisco Javier Valtuille and Luis María Valtiulle they complete their made of being the brothers Zipi and Zape, on the other hand also to highlight the interpretation of Joan Monleón like Don Pantuflo, the father of Zipi and Zape, and mainly of the rest of the allotment that doesn't make it anything bad (Jaimita Zapatilla, Don Minervo, Oliviero...). The only thing that we could take out bad to this movie is the sound band that if that is too infantile and luscious.
I like the movie, a good movie to pass the while and nothing else, the movie promises the same thing that the comic, I don't request to this film more. of 10 stars I give him 5.
Super Mario Bros. (1993)
SMB has its strong points and its slack points.
In the first place, if we notice, the movie has the same plot of the video game: the Mario brothers travels to a parallel world, populated by mushrooms and dinosaurs, where they have to save the princess of the evil King Bowser Koopa. The movie contains excellent performances like that of Bob Hoskins, brilliant as Mario (the best in the film) and the interpretation of Dennis Hopper (King Koopa). Although I think that the paper of Koopa should have him fact a stouter actor because, in the video game, Koopa is much bigger the Mario brothers. Other papers like that of Luigi, interpreted as John Leguizamo that doesn't make it bad but it should have him fact an actor a little more mature than it seemed that it was Mario's brother (it is that Leguizamo seems more Mario's son that his brother!!), as for the princess Daisy, embodied by Samantha Mathis, is quite well but physically she was not very similar to the princess of the video game. The rest of secondary characters of the film is exceptional and they make reference to the video game like they are Lenna, Iggy, Toad, Big Bertha, Goombas... although I believe that they have left the poor person of Yoshi some side.
It is also necessary the devices that appear in the movie making reference in the video game to highlight like: the mushroom (that enlarges, it protects Mario of the shots and it shrinks again), Bob-Ombs (as those of SMB3 although a little smaller), the fire balls (propelled with the help of guns), the mushrooms or the king Mushroom (that make the function that make the blocks in the video game in the video game, of to provide objects and to help Mario and Luigi), the Stomper Boots (that make that Mario and Luigi fly or to carry out the big jumps like in SMB) or the devolution machine. The great majority of these apparatuses makes that the film has a realistic touch and futurist making that the history you already developed beyond those typical histories of the video game (mushrooms, Koopa Troopa, pipes, etc...). In general that with a good cast (Hoskins, Hopper...), the same plot of the video game, a numberless of objects and enemies (taken out of the video games, "recycled" or added for enjoyment of the movie) and an excellent sound band (Alan Silvestri and the "Almost Unreal" of Roxette) they make that Super Mario Bros is a movie of two hours with assured entertainment, based on the most popular video game in the world. Although Super Mario Bros any Oscar has not gotten the movie it is very well. And for the many critics that think that this movie is very bad I tell them... Is not reason happened to take a look to movies like Street Fighter? for sure it will be faithful to the video game! No?.
