Warcraft (2016)

such a surprise

Wow, I was expecting a average if not worst movie, instead I've found it a really good fantasy and action movie. As a super fan of the original Warcraft strategy games I've to say they reproduced perfectly all the videogames style and mood. From the Orcs size, movement, clothes and huts to the human armor, magics effect and even the various beasts. I really hope some good producer will decide to continue the story started with this movie.

Alexander (2004)

How can you make a movie about Alexander the great with such a bad outcome, when Stone had simply to follow the books of Manfredi. Of course the first mistake was to do one movie, with so much to tell they had to rush.Too bad, such a wasted opportunity

I can't understand why such low rating and bad review, compared to a lot of movies of the Marvel-DC bunch I found this much more interesting. But I suggest to who haven't watch it cause of the bad reviews to see the ultimete edition, because in the cinema version a lot of important scene had been cut off to shorten the movie

The Place Promised in Our Early Days (2004)

I gave 4 stars just for the art and the music, but I really got bored a lot watching this, the story makes no sense, it's all so dreamy, so epic, the author wants you to deeply feel all this emotions but to me the result it's an hollow movie with hollow character. I've never fallen asleep watching something, but with this I barely succeeded to end it. I definitively suggest not to watch it, there are so many other beautiful anime to see out there. One thing I've enjoyed is the artwork, the landscapes are really intense and make you dream, but also there sometimes there is too much over production, too many light effects, it seems like a punch in the eye. And I hate when authors use science fiction in this way, by throwing here and there some gibberish theory and then making a mess with a convoluted plot, so that people at the end can say that it leave you with the freedom to interpret it, I find this technique over abused lately, and by the way I've never seen using it so badly like in this case

Sucker Punch (2011)

WTF is this movie about?

Can anybody tell me what was this movie about? And how it's possible it has 6/10? I've lost 2 hours of my life seeing one of the most pointless movie I've ever seen. It's a chaotic mix of multiple genres and bad cgi effect and there is no story at all. It's like a ugly cake with an awful inside, or better with nothing inside. The plot is comparable to nothing, if a friend will ask me to quickly tell him what is this movie I'd have some serious problems describing. Do a favor to yourself and skip this movie, it's a total waste of time. The other movies this director made were good just because he followed exactly the steps of the original story, like 300 and Watchmen. I hope he understood he made a great mistake with this one

Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2010)

mediocre movie and bad adaptation

I just don't understand why these producers needed to do this movie. Dylan Dog is not worldwide famous, so you are going to adapt it from the comics to a movie you do it only for the real supporters and they would like the most faithful transposition possible. And this way maybe other people would have been curious and willful to discover Dylan. Instead they made this bad movie, with a really awful ending, without soul, and totally distant from the atmosphere of the comics. I wonder also how the Italian editors and creators gave the permission to do it and why they didn't even try to make a good story. I think they should have written directly the script giving also strict rules to follow to be totally near the real Dylan. I think they gave up all of this for money and that's really sad
