Steal This Movie (2000)
Abbie Hoffman...
Vincent D'Onfroi acting yeah... this movie doesn't tell us Nixon era, Vietnam war (just a documentary we see on white screen of vietnameses or Nixon posters, where is Mc Charthy?!) but I'm giving 7 for the actors and actresses and also nobody mentions about US's expansionism and exceptional-ism todays. This is a movie about Abbie Hoffman's struggle and I appreciate again D'Onfroi about his Hoffman acting. At least this movie gives us the idea why they struggled for justice, equality, liberty in 60s... as Abbie says Indians, Vietnameses...,I say 'far east' countries for 'bringing civilization' you know, you should... I bought this movie from the cheap section... in my language (I wish someday I find it original)
see this movie?!!
It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006)
always working nostalgia...
not good but common American youth on the scenes of Woody: really awful! girl is a joke For the love of GOD' with an aspiration from Steve Vai).(reading Shakespeare smart geek loser virgin) there is more enjoyable 'just one of the guys'. Or 'anything for love'. Or 'freaky Friday. Jaime lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan were good in exchange body thing.(they are really bad) it is written to catch out teenagers with a few funny moment, a little romance and handsome TV actors but works...
it works... good formulation... always working nostalgia... ................................... ................................... ...................................
The Invisible (2007)
girl is the best reason to watch
I give a 6 but it's not that I don't like it. indeed the movie has a exciting story but some cheesy things ruin it... some dialogs... and some anti-logic actions and symphaty with nick is impossible but is more for Annie. because the actress is really knows her character and makes great job, also the script is more like for her. Annie is realistic, Marcus the bad boy and Peet the weakest also. Actually that's why I like the movie; the plot and some co-characters. -good story -good acting
under-average directing ( no shocking, even tragedy for kinda story)
10 for Margarita Levieva...
Death Proof (2007)
this movie got all volleys!!!
Tarantino, again, playing tricks with us. he simply, shows his right hand and asks what's in it, we, again, host our minds with some long- funny dialogs, mostly between females who don't seem like protagonists, but actually this is a film about exploitation of them (or what they symbolized-weakening the frontiers of self-confident, unindependent women who can defend them self and exist, survive and win in men's holy woods?), which does like those grind house movies, but death proof really makes fun of grind houses, and also Tarantino does not underestimate them, in a way, respects and as he does, he desires us to have fun for a little, indeed. (it seems they had lots) Whatever, cinematographically well drawn, and jumps you up to the space of dirty-cheap mouth,one-sided hot characters making party in honkytonkylike bars with jukebox, or running cars on dusty crossroads... of course brutal terror being showed off in doses. Tarantino is a passionate for all in cinema and welcomes us to his world of wonders and keeps going to surprise, trick, conflict and whatever...:)
