Hack My Home (2023)
hack my hack with your hack on top of a hack inside a hack? hack, hack....
I really wanted to enjoy this show. First off, the over use of the word hack on social media is mirrored by this show. They say it so much it's incredibly annoying. Some of the "hacks" are dumb, others are just downright dangerous. Most of these people are going to be spending stupid amounts of money to fix something when it goes wrong.
The hosts are meh at best. They're trying to be crazy and unique. At least the idea of putting a kitchen table that lowers into the floor was called out by the others as just a stupid idea. Nobody wants to eat off a surface that everybody walks and dances on.
It's watchable, just don't set expectations too high.
Beau Is Afraid (2023)
I don't understand other people's ratings
I really don't understand how this has such a high overall rating. Even the people that say they don't like this movie are still giving it a 4 or 5 out of 10 stars. This movie is completely worthless. Especially with it being 3 hours long.
There are a bunch of really weird unexplained things that happen throughout the movie that are entertaining at best. If it weren't for Joaquin Phoenix, I wouldn't have even continued watching it. If you are expecting some big epiphany or aha! Moment at the end of the film, you will be sorely and sadly disappointed.
I like a lot of movies and I like strange and unique movies, but I would never recommend this to a single person, ever. While I have seen worse movies, this one comes pretty close to the top of that list.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Episode #8.6 (1993)
Brutal
I've been watching some old school wresting television shows. Most of them are great, seeing wrestlers when they were much younger. Stone cold steve austin as stunning steve austin when he had hair. The ridiculous over the top outfits and hair dos. I'm not sure how its possible, but i had forgotten about doink the clown.
The hacksaw match is pretty brutal. You can see by the crowds reaction that they took this a little too far.
Hacksaw goes in against Yokozuna who not only is undefeated but has never even been knocked down. (They keep repeating this fact with macho man right there, but I swore he knocked him down at the royal rumble).
Hello from Nowhere (2021)
Don't set your expectations very high
The plot sounded interesting. I started watching and almost turned it off instantly. I was bored and figured I'd give it a chance. I've watched some terrible movies, but this is close to the top of that list. The older guy knows his stuff for outdoors. That's the only reason I'd give this 3 stars. With only 3 reviews and 2 of them being the directors family, I had to drop my rating from 3 to 1 to help balance out the 10s they gave.
The acting feels like a high school drama club project at best. The story was ok. If you have absolutely nothing else to watch or do, or no door nearby to slam a body part in repeatedly, give it a watch.
