much said .....watch it, decide it

The name was weird and that was why I downloaded this movie from the internet but when I read reviews about this movie, which were very misleading cause I really liked this movie. The movie explores the world of a boy who has just reached his teen.

The boy who has just hit his puberty is in great confusion cause suddenly his d**k has started to talk to him. He suddenly feels pervert and immense feel to have _ _ _. The movie shows the very fact which a normal teenager must have felt in his that period of life. For the movie was awesome as it has shows a real good and intelligent story. I have just found its second part is made.......gonna watch that too.

Sydney White (2007)

good movie, shld watch it

I have seen Amanda and liked her in the movie "She's the man". That movie was also very good like this one. And both the movie has that especial content "Amanda". She brought so much of life into the characters she played in both the movies. She was so much convincing in both the movies it felt that she is same in her real life too, may be, cause I don't know.

This movie is real good with some of the famous and popular contents of teen movies like bitching, romance, mean girls etc. I like the humor of the movie. Other than Amanda I like Sara Paxton and some of the roomies of Sydney.

The story of the movie is very much like the fairy tale where there is a beautiful girl, waiting for her prince charming, entrapped by an evil lady. I'm not going to reveal more on the story cause of its predictability, yea the story is very predictable but still this the movie is good.

Nothing New

Well this movie turned out what I'd like to say as the usual cause there was nothing in the movie which I can say I felt new. The basic story is something I have seen a lot and this made the movie so unexciting. I saw the whole just to find out where it differs from the usual.

The only difference was the rich women finds a man identical to her husband and thus does "it" with him without knowing that he isn't the right man and when she finds the fact that he isn't his hubby then she asks him to leave but till now this man converts to a stalker and psychopath. Then the usual what you can think of easily.

Yea the only think I liked about the movie was there was a really good foreplay scene.

Khuda Ke Liye – Longer We Waited, More The Sweeter The Fruit Is

40 years after, atlast a Pakistani movie is released in India and it was really worth waiting for so long. This movie is the out of the League movie. Being Indian, I have seen many movies were the moviemaker's tried to lift above the religion and present a story where they can show equality and freedom in society or our nation or any nation. But this is the best of them. There was also another of this kind of movie based on riots in India which was also very effective.

This movie is awesome with its music, story and purpose obviously the bottomline of the movie. Taking on music, the music is beautiful ranging and covering most of the genres of music in this part of the world. "Bandeya" was my personal favorite, which flaunts the fusion of two different genres of music, which came up really good. Other songs with "sufiana" style are heavenly.

The way the story starts, I mean the first scene, when a Muslim man scolds his said to be Muslim friend for letting her daughter date an English boy. It made me exciting and I was already thinking of what would be the climax of the movie. This movie shows two very different stories, simultaneously and beautifully. This movie depicts which may be said as the two major problems of Islam one is other non-Islamic countries and people look upto them as terrorist and the other is misrepresentation of Islam among Muslim people.

The dialogs in the movie are very fulfilling. You can really feel the naturalness in the dialogs. There are not some hi-flying discussions where people are flaunting their knowledge or vocabulary with out any reason. Personally I liked the dialogs of the misguiding Maulana and Nassi-udin-shah ji in the movie.

Well this movie is really a treat with some moral as its metaphor. 9 stars out of 10 from my side.

As I said in the last post and will say again "I have been really lucky with movies I watch as all turned out, till now, fabulous ". This is movie is another one in the long string of fabulous movies I saw.

The movie beautifully depicts the beautiful relationship of friendship and at the same time also explores the other parts and emotions of life. The movie starts with 4 BFF's (read best friends). The have been together in low's and high's of each others life. At 17 year, all are trying to do something new in this summer vacations. So Lena decides to see her grandparents in Greece, Carmen decides to visit her Dad who lived in different state after the divorce, Bridget decides to join soccer training camp and Tibby decides to stay at home and work on her documentary. On the eve of the day they were separating they find a pair of jeans which surprisingly fits all four of them, surprising cause they were of different shape and sizes. They decide to share this pair of jeans and believed this pair of jeans will bring luck to the life of the girls. Then what and how the jeans bring to their life? Is the plot of the story. This movie is a beautiful woven movie that's why it can make you cry, make you smile and make you feel all the emotions presented on the screen. Cheers to all the girls in movie. They all were more than good in the movie. Would certainly like to write the names of the girls here –

Juno (2007)

good to see a sensitive teenager movie with some thing to learn

Juno is a better effort than most of the recent teenager movies. Not just an out n out comedy. It also has that motherly love kinda touch to it. But surely better than other senseless movies made in recent past. I see it with good or better than good teenage movies like Superbad released few years back which also deals with some sensitive parts of teenage life not like that American pie movie released which was all about B**Bs and B***y.

You people the character Juno in the movie. Her sarcastic behavior which is normal to teenagers now. But the one thing i liked about the character especially is how maturely she deals with her pregnancy, how she takes everything in her hands and searches down all the options before zeroing down to adoption. This is one thing which surely keeps this movie stand out from the other teen pregnant stories ever told.

Performances in the movie are also justifying to the characters but my favorite was Jennifer Garner in the movie. Her character as desperate woman seeing a chance of lifetime in front of her of adopting a child or becoming a mom which isn't able to be naturally. There are some funny moments that will make you laugh and also some that will touch you down really low in your heart.

From my side Juno is one of the movies released last year which every one should at least watch once.

The Great Debaters (2007)

Denzel is my fav.

Well no words can match Denzel Washington's persona. He always delivers something which surprises you. "The great debaters" I think is his second self directed movie but his work behind the camera was as good as in front of the camera. One thing I mentioned about a good director which I found in this movie too was the distribution of screen space. This movie boasts of some of the biggest stars of the movie industry like Denzel Washington himself, Forest Whitaker (Oscar winner) but at the same time it also cast some of the youngest members likes Denzel Whitaker, Nate Parker and Jurnee Smollett. You can easily sense the brilliance in distribution of screen space.

Performance wise also the movie is of more worth than pleasing.

The movie depicts a small past of James Farmer Jr. (Denzel Whitaker) when he sees the struggle and lynching of black people in the land of Texas due to racial discrimination. The movie shows a Debaters Team from the University of Wiley (for Black students) of which James Farmer Jr. was a part with Nate Parker, Jurnee Smollett and with Denzel Washington as their Teacher. This team Travel across the whole country defeating one by one all the major universities of country including the white universities. By this the strategy of taking the revolution against racial discrimination came up in the national map.

The final scene or debate is shown between Wiley and Harvard University and this is a debate which one should watch out in the movie. All the debates scenes in the movie are brilliant.

Watch this movie. Highly recommended.

Saving Private Ryan (1998)

Tom Hanks at his best

This is one of many of my favorite Tom Hanks movies and also Steven Spielberg's too. This is movie is rated as the best war movie ever made and I felt same after watching this movie.

The especialty of this movie is the characters in the movie and all the actors played their part with par excellence. The movie is very much able to show the grief of the mothers and families. Major attraction of the movie also includes the combat scenes from the movie.

Although people can say that Tom Hanks character as the lead or main role of the movie but I say that all characters were major in this movie and that was because Steven Spielberg distributed the screen space so well between all the characters of the movie that you never feel that any of the character is left out or suppressed.

Tom Hanks character is filled of different shades where he shows his intelligence with some brilliant strategy to win the battle at the coast then at the same character can seen weeping in the middle of battle field remembering his life post the war.

The dialogs in the movie are also very touching. I personally really liked the scene when the Army supreme (don't remember much about him) reads out a letter by president "Abraham Lincoln" showing condolence to the a mother who lost all of her kids in the war for the nation.

If you have not seen this movie due to any reason then I would recommend you to buy a DVD and watch it with whole family.

I don't understand why this movie is so underrated. I always been a fan of small but intelligently scripted movie and this movie is certainly one of them. I saw this movie just because I thought the name was so eye catching but after watching the movie I think the movie is much more gripping than the name.

The movie is about four friends having different sexual tastes or orientations-Two guys and two gals- who stay over one of their friend's apartment for the night. The movie is about how these all four people defend and boasts about their sexual orientation as superior by attacking each others sexual orientations. The consists of four characters J.D- the straight guy, Kris – also a straight girl, Rafe – gay man and Heidi – the lesbian.

The script, the story and the dialogs especially when these people where discussing sex is very impressive. Although the camera work is not upto the mark that may be because they want to present is as a cam shot story but anyways that doesn't effected me.

I would certainly suggest people to watch this movie but only to the adults.

8/10 for me.

Good Luck Chuck (2007)

Good Luck Chuck -- Good Time Pass Comedy

Good Luck Chuck This movie proved exactly what i thought of it. A good one and half hour laughter, certainly for adults only, but still this movie is better than few of the last comedy flicks i have seen.

The movie is filled with those moments which seriously tickles your funny bone.I felt very light hearted after the movie and i know most of the audience with me the theater too. The movie isn't about teaching you something, no message but tries to provide entertainment where i think it hasn't disappointed me at least.

And all of the above, its a Jessica alba movie how can i leave that.

Watch movie with a open mind and try enjoy it , it won't be tough to do that.

Atonement (2007)

Atonement -- Brilliant Work,Loved The movie

Well the movie was looking very promising from the day one of promos and because of that the expectations were high and the movie satisfy what you can ask for from a movie.

What i really like about the movie was when the movie starts, it shows the same incidents with two different perspective which obviously makes you feel that its in the eye of the looker how he/she feels about the situation. Perception can be different for the same situation.

I have heard that this movie is based on some British Romantic novel by Ian McEawn. Personally i feel making a novel come into life on the screen is a tough job especially when the novel is itself as successful as this one thats why i would like to compliment their work.

As in case of acting, Keira Knightley and James McAvoy are also brilliant.No words to define their performances. They should be nominated for the best prizes in their respective categories.

Pleasure for eyes , would strongly recommenced if you wanna watch a real good movie.

Inside Man (2006)

Inside Man -- Well Weaved Heist Movie

The movie is packed with solid performances from Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster and Chiwetel Ojiofor.Movie have some really exciting twists and turns. The grip of movie is so good that you won't even leave the theater for the intermission or bathroom break.

I am a big fan of Mr. Denzel Washington and have seen some of his brilliant performances and this one in the movie "Inside Man" is also one of them. He always manages to impress me.

I haven't seen much of Jodie Foster but can surely say that this movie doesn't absorb her talent or can say not properly used. But i liked that she did good job in that not so appropriate length of character.

Clive Owen either is one of the star performer of this movie about whom i haven't heard much but with this performance i can tell that i'm not forgetting him for long time.

I have seen some of the movie related to this "bank robbery" genre but this is one of the unique one and can be casted as also the best of them.Telling about the plot without disclosing it is not possible.

So i would like you people to watch this movie and i can assure you that this is one movie you'll surely like.

Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007)

Goal proves to be better than Vivek Agnihotri's earlier movie Chocolate.

This movie is about a Football Stadium which is leased to South Hall United Club. But cause of poor form and bad run in the league South Hall didn't had much money to pay money for renewing the lease. Now they have to win the league to win the money and renew the lease which is their only hope. So the captain of the team Arshad Warsi brings in Boman Irani as the new coach of South Hall United Club, former legendary player of the club. Boman thinks they have a good defense but the attack isn't that good so he ropes in John Abraham as the striker. John's father is a big fan South Hall Club and always wanted john to player with his community.

will Jhon, Arshad and Boman will be able to win the league for the first time for South Hall Fans ????????

Arshad was very good in the movie but i didn't felt same for John. Boman again proves why people loves him as an actor. Bipasha character is just to provide a love angle not much of weightage but bipasha was good in the short and sweet character.

The climax is one you can say the best part of the movie. So Goal is a one time watch able movie.

Dus Kahaniyaan (2007)

Brave Attempt

Dus Kahaniya falls in the line of the daring attempts made by few directors of presenting different stories of different people in one movie. But this was the most unique of all them, till today. Dus Kahaniya is just like somebody buying a short story book from a book shop which comprises for 10 different stories. But the real flaw, which i think was, i was never attemted to establish a link between these stories which may also be said as the unique point of the movie. But i don't think this gamble paid off.

Also i would certainly mention about a few stories which i personally liked, from the flock presented,were Rice Plate(Nassir Sahab and Shabana Aajmi ji,directed by Rohit Roy), Zahir (Manoj Bajpai and Dia Mirza, Directed by Sanjay Gupta) and Puranmasi(Amrtia Singh,Minnisha Lamba and Permeet Sethi, directed by Meghana Gulzar).

I would certainly say that people should watch the movie and if you don't watch it expecting links between the stories this one you will certainly like.

Here i would also mention that the most disappointing person was Apporv Lakhiya. I think the story was not new to the public, for me at least. I expect more form him after seeing some of his brilliant work.

No Smoking (2007)

Sorry Didn't Get Your Point

Well this is the first movie by Anurag Kashyap which really i didn't get. OK this movie was to tell people that smoking is the something cool and is injurious to health but i think this is a really complicated movie to make people understand the motive of the movie.

Many of my friends also said that they didn't get anything about the movie cause at the same time the movie is a bit confusing too. I heard or read, don't really remember, that Anurag kashyap said that this a non smoker wouldn't be able to get this movie. Well, i think this may be a valid reason cause i am a non smoker and i didn't get the movie.

What i think is shown in the movie is a guy (John Abrahim) wants to leave smoking but he didn;t like the line of treatment of the Bengali Baba(Paresh Rawal). But as Baba Bengali makes him to sign a contract(weird contract) and now John can't smoke and of he does something bad will happen to his family(mother, a brother suffering from asthma and wife Aayesha Takia). Then there starts some really confusing incidents. one time i felt this Baba Bengali is some kind of conjuror doing some black magic but presenting black magic for treatment, i don't think this can be the idea behind the movie.

Ultimately, the Baba Bengali was successful to throw out the cigarette smoker out of John and the new John is a non smoker.

I can't decide that is this was the really movie about what i understood or is there something else???

But i would certainly tell people around me to go and watch the movie and please explain me what they get from the movie.

The music of the movie is good. My favorite was item song starring Jesse Randhawa sung by Adnan Sami

Manorama: Six Feet Under (2007)

One Of The Most Under Rated Movie Of Year (2007)

If you haven't seen Manorama 6 Feet Under this year than you have missed one of the best movie of the year. I can't understand how movies like this go unnoticed. It is also very disappointing that movie like this don't reach masses.

Movie comprises of brilliant performances by Abhay Deol, Gul Panag, Kulhushan kharbanda and Raima Sen

Abhay Deol can easily be said as the a actor with whole loads of talent and potential to take himself to the league of actors like Nassirudin Shah, Om Puri etc.

Gul panag made a big statement in her first movie "Dhoop" and carried it on in movie like "Dor" and now "Manorama 6 Feet Under". I would certainly like to see more of Gul Panag in movies.

Kulbhushan Kharbanda is one of the senior most artists of the industry and in famous for justifying the character roles which he did with perfection again.

Raima Sen has proved herself in the last few years by presenting a real variety of roles.

And also like to mention one more important name associated to this movie Navdeep Singh, director of the movie. He was able to extract the perfect out of these stars for this movie can easily define his potential in the industry.

I would like to see these kind of movies reaching the masses.

Chak De! India (2007)

blown out of proportion

I saw this movie expecting that Indian film industry is moving towards the "real life" characters movies like Hollywood's - remember the titans,gridiron gang , coach carter etc.

I thought if not equivalent to these movies ,this would be some what close to it. But my expectation was not fulfilled when i saw this movie.

The movie gives a total Indian movie feel where you'll find typical drama that you have seen in many films. I have never liked SRK and this movie proves it why?. You can easily put this movie in the category of "Main Hoo Naa" where you see a movie which was nothing but providing moviegoers a simple time pass with some comedy and songs.

There only few instances where i liked the movie but on the whole is was not what i was expecting.

Bridge to Terabithia (2007)

The promos of the movie is completely disguising. I never thought of what i saw in the theater.

I went to see the movie with my little cousins as i thought the movie was for kids but i was so wrong. The emotions displayed on the screen were the best. The kids are good actors. Especially the lead Josh Hutcherson, he displayed some emotions beautifully.

the movie is about a boy named Jesse who have has his own world. He have four sister but May Belle is closest to him. He is always targeted by the bullies. Then enters a girl (Leslie) who is his classmate and her neighbor too. The girl changes the whole perspective of the boy of seeing towards his life. They make their new imaginary world where they are the king and the queen.

And then something happens with their lives that brings a interesting twist in the story.

I say everybody should see the movie. I strongly recommend the movie for all age group.
