National Treasure: Edge of History (2022)
Let's take everything we loved and destroy it..
Everything we loved about Gates and the National Treasure movies is essentially lost on this show. No love of country, just disdain. The acting, HORRIBLE. The clues were juvenile and erratic, and why on Earth choose Sandusky?! You're telling me he had all this wealth and secret rooms, etc on a cop salary? Gates I could understand on account of the treasure payout, but Sandusky? Nah.
I liked that they brought Riley in for an episode, but I hate that whenever a show is based around (basically) teenagers, they have to show up the adults. Like, let's give Riley a little credit here.
And the ending... oof. *SPOILER ALERT*
After all that, Billie still played bad guy even after finding out Salazar killed her brother?
Make it make sense.
A Merry Christmas Wish (2022)
Loved it, but weirdness to storyline.
Loved the movie. Very well acted, not cheesy at all. So there's at least that, since some are absolutely unbearable, if you know what I mean. However, there are gaps in the story.
A) She's supposed to be close the great-uncle, yet hasn't visited (a mere 3 hour drive) in 20 years?
B) She's supposed to be 30 (10 + it's been 20 years)? Jill Wagner is gorgeous, but she's no 30 year old. Idk, they could have just said she hasn't been back since high school/college age and it would have been fine. There's also no way anyone would recognize her after 20 YEARS.
C) I don't understand all the fond reminiscing w/o her ever going back until Randall died.
Annnnd that's about it.
