Thor: The Dark World (2013)

If I were to describe this movie in one word forgettable

I was doing A marvel movie marathon the other day and I didn't realize this movie even existed. So I sat down and watched it with the highest hopes that this would be an unexpected surprise. Well it was In one way. That way was being the most forgettable movie I have ever seen. I couldn't tell you A single thing that happened and I watched it yesterday! But I am going to try just to be funny. So the movie goes like this jane get A red liquid in her Evil elves appear to steal the red liquid and Thor's mom dies who You feel nothing for cause she gets no screen time also Loki dies again. In short you can skip this film and just go watch them explain it in endgame. You would be doing yourself a favor.

Inception (2010)

A film Like no other

So I finally watched inception and in one word wow. This is gonna sound crazy but then again I am crazy. This movie is more of an experience than a film. I say this cause I will never forget it. From the story to the acting to that mind bending ending that I will never forget. One thing that surprised me was how much I enjoyed the action scenes. They are a good half of the movie so you would think it would becoming exhausting but no throughout it keeps you on pins and needles and on the edge of your seat the whole time. The plot of the movie in simple terms is that they have to implant an idea in someone's dream an inception if you would. I am probably not doing this movie any justice but it's so hard to explain you just have to see it for yourself really.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)

The hype is real!

I have been hearing people rave about this movie for months now. In my head I thought can it really be that good. Well Not only did it surpass It but it exceeded it. When the very beginning to the end it is a wild fun funny and beautiful ride. I mean the animation is just too good to be true. The main plot of the movie is that puss has only one life left and wants to go to the wishing star to get back to 9 lives along the way he learns what it means to truly live.

I want to start off this review by saying the wolf is so cool. P.s everybody says that. I think one of the reason he works is they never make him silly or make him a joke. No all the jokes are saved for jack who I think deservers more praise. He is just an evil guy for the sack of being evil And I love it! Then there's goldilocks and the three bears who are both a serious threat and a joke and overall there development is really well done and executed. Then we have the main star none other than puss in boots and whoever is voicing him is having the time of their life I can tell they are just having fun. You know what that's a good way to describe this movie A fun time with great characters and One of the best movies of the year I couldn't believe it was that good. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

An unexpected surpise

Dear reader it is a rare and quite welcome occurrence when A film proves me wrong for I thought this film would not be good. And to say I was wrong would be A grave understatement. I don't know how but they did it they made it work. I want to start off by saying the animation made me feel like I was just in a comic book and fit the movie so very well. Next Peter B. Parker was the spider man, I have always wanted. He is an old spider man and he did not disappoint in fact. It was even better than I thought it would be. Also seeing Miles original story was a nice breath of fresh air compared to Peter's. I mean come on do you really want to see Peter's story for the tenth time? Anyhow, there's a reason everyone won't shut up about this film, so go and take my word for it and take a leap of faith you won't regret it.

Toy Story (1995)

One of the best films ever

This has got to be the movie I have watched the most. I remember watching it on loop some days. That being said does it stand up to this day oh yeah it does. First off every part of this film is ironic from pizza planet to the rocket to the claw. But the best part has to be the friendship between woody and buzz voiced perfectly by Tim Allen and Tom hanks. Also I don't remember it being this funny. I crack up every time I hear YOU ARE A TOY. Plus seeing woody's arc from being a bit of a jerk to a selfless toy who helps his friend is believable and satisfying to watch. All in on a film that I will watch and love any day and has got to be one of my favorites.

Elvis (2022)

Austin killed it through It can be A mess at times

First off I want to start off by saying that like everyone else has said Austin butler was incredible and should get an award. That being said the main flaw I have with this movie lies in The story and how It can sometimes be a mess. For example I can't be the only one that for the first 40 minutes of the movie was confused about what was happening. And thought that It was just going too fast.

It did however calm down About an hour In and I was able to understand the movie better. Also I have a tiny nitpick about how in a movie called Elvis. Elvis doesn't feel like the main character. The colonel is. Having more screen time than Elvis himself and I wish they had taken more time instead to Just let Elvis sing a song for In a movie about one of the biggest music stars of all time They barely Play any of his songs.

Anyhow The Colonel Is a very Good villain and Tom hanks does A nice job with it. I liked that it didn't hold back how bad of a person he was and the things he did to Elvis. There was a scene In particular that Moved me. And the ending left A good taste In my mouth. Sure it may have it's faults But I love it just the same and would recommend it to Any fan of Elvis And to anybody that wants to know his life story.

Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)

Just an ad

The studio while making this movie. So how much franchises and products in do you want in this movie. Worker yes. Space jam A new legacy to me is not a film. It's an ad to get you to buy products. Oh look at harry potter look at dc and Oh my god is that batman. Also the story is literally nonexistent. It goes like this lebron's kid doesn't like basketball and wants to make a videogame and go to a videogame camp. So his dad shows him a videogame they working on and there head into the multiverse. Where lebron has to team up with the looney tunes to play basketball again and along the way we go see ever brand warner bros has. That is not all the details because I was to busy laughing at the acting to even pay attention. No I wasn't laughing cause it was funny I was laughing cause it was so bad. I mean lebron dabbing is moment of the year for best dad joke. In short though space jam two is just a cash grab and a waste of your time.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

There's nothing else like it

2001 a space odyssey is like no other film I have seen. Instead of focusing on story I think it's more of a art piece and dear god those shots are Incredible even for today. In fact I want to learn how this movie was made and how they did it. Because this sc-fi More than any other was an immersive experience . Now story wise I still like it and hal is just what the future will be like. About the ending through I think it's up to you to interpret what happened Again something else unique about this film. Hey if anything it will leave you with more questions than answers which I think is kind of cool.

Hamilton (2020)

As a play 10 out of 10. As a film not so much

Yes Hamilton Is a 10. I was listening to it everyday to the point where like most people I could sing the lyrics by heart. Unfortunately I never got to see the original cast perform so I am forever grateful that I could see them with this movie. The only problem for me through Is it is not a film. It is just a recording of A live play. While there's nothing wrong with that. I can't help but wonder what could have been if there went with A film version of the movie. Sure it could have been much worse than the play like most movie musicals but it does make it hard to see it as a film. But like I said it is for the best that there just recorded the play because the play is perfect.

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

A experience I will never forget though it has problems

I will never forget just looking at the world of pandora. It was just so pretty and I felt like I was in another world. So for that reason alone I love this movie. To be honest though I didn't really like the story. I thought the final battle dragged for way to long. Plus I thought there were a few plot holes. And again like the first movie was rather predictable. Plus I thought some characters were under developed. Other than that I really enjoyed this whole movie. For example the water in this movie has some of the most beautiful shots I have every seen in my life. You know what It is just beautiful in general . Sure it may not have the best story or characters but it's beautiful and that's all I really wanted.

Up (2009)

A great opening with a good adventure

I would be lying if I said that the best scene in up wasn't the beginning but nevertheless it is still A really wild ride after as well. I will first start off by saying the amount of work put into drawing all those balloons in just mindblowing and visually stunning . Also well I may have a bit of a bias Because I have been a scout. I love russell and find him very funny. If there is one problem I have with the movie it's that you will know the villain as soon as you see him. Also the final act of the movie can be a bit ridiculous. But to be fair we are talking about a movie where balloons can lift a whole house. Other than that it is a really fun adventure of a film.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

I can't wait to watch the next two

For years I have avoided watching lord of the rings. Because I thought I would be disappointed in it. I was wrong dead wrong. Let me start by saying this is a beautiful movie. I found myself just pausing to look at the mountain and views. Also I was immediate taken into the world and wanted to find out everything about it. To add to that it has one of the most interesting starts to a film and it hooked me from start to finish. Which shocked me cause this is a 3 hour movie. Yet i found myself not bored at any moment.

The plot It is about a hobbit who are creatures who enjoy the easy and simple life who have no adventures expect for a hobbit named Bilibo Baggins . Who is celebrating his 100 and 9th birthday. He plans to leave the shire to finish his book. So he leaves the one ring with Frodo Baggins. And from there adventure ensues. And by the end of the film you will be begging to start the two towers. Which I am going to go do now bye.

Pinocchio (I) (2022)

A worse version of the original

I didn't want to write a review about this cause what is they left to say that hasn't been said before. Like every other live action remake is war worse and betrays the original purpose of the story. Also it is too longgggg to the point where I evened thought about not finishing it which I hate to do. Plus the main character pinocchio looks like my worst nightmare. That was the funniest part of the movie quiet honesty. The songs are completely forgettable expect when you wish you upon a star. Which they barely even play. Anyway just watch the original for a true pinocchio movie instead of wasting your time on this.

The Batman (2022)

the batman I wanted

This to me is what batman should be. Everything from the darkness of the story to the writing and action. The car chase scene was really well done. The first 2 hours are amazing and it drags a bit for the next half hour. But still it is a great batman movie the second best after the dark knight. I also Think robert pattinson made a great batman. In fact I think every one did a good job. Plus they made batman seem like he was having a really hard time which I have also wanted batman to be. I really hope they make a sequel and it is just as good. Because in my opinion this is the way forward for dc in general.

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

really tired of marvel

What i think of phase 4 I am really starting to be tired of marvel. Since phase 4 started and the marvel disney+ shows started. It has been really hard keeping up with it . Which is something I could never say about phases 1-3 . While phases1-3 are far from perfect it was only 2-3 movies a year. While now It feels like I get a marvel show or movie once a month. That would be alright if they were good but instead of focusing on. Quality over quantity. It has been just trying to get out project after project. Which most end up being rushed and feeling disjointed. So I was praying for this to be my saving grace. Well it just made it worse far worse .

Movie review you know this has got to be the funniest movie of the year for all the wrong reasons. I found myself laughing at the bad attempts at a joke and the story. And how could I forget the annoying screaming goats throughout the whole movie. Anyway I guess I will go into the plot. Which revoles around goor the god butcher who swears to kill all the gods. Long story short he goes after thor and kidnaps children to try to kill him. I don't even remember anything and i just watched it. I will say christian bale offers a good job as goor . And I liked zeus in it. I really hated how the guardians of the galaxy were handled in this movie. Also thor got a kid what . I don't even care anymore. Am so Disappointed and don't watch it. Now am going to go write a review for a movie i enjoy goodbye.

Avatar (2009)

A pretty movie with no story

Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time not adjusted for inflation which would be gone with the wind so it would seem like a sequel would be inevitable . Well it took 13 years but they are making a avatar 2 the way of water. Which made me finally sit down and watch it . All I knew before I watched it was that it was a new bar for 3d and imax and that a lot of people hate it. I happen to be in the middle where I don't hate it but don't love it. The pros: it has incredible effects and the flying scene was pretty cool. Cons: It's story is pretty standard and predictable. The story copys a lot of pocahontas. It was really hard to make it to the end of the movie because the end is just one long battle that you know what is gonna happen.: So in the end nothing was bad enough to make me mad but nothing I loved. I will still see avatar 2 because of the effects but expect no story again.

Home Alone (1990)

A christmas movies for the ages

There are only a few christmas movies I watch every year after year with home alone being at the top of that chart. It just never get old seeing a 10 year old beat up a bunch of robbers. That just sounds like it would be a perfect christmas movie doesn't it. But in all seriousness it is about a kid who wished that he didn't have to be with his family for christmas. But soon realizes that part of the christmas magic is being with the one's you love. Kicked in with in laugh out loud jokes and in my opinion one of the best child actors in Macaulay Culkin who plays Kevin Mccallister. So keep my change and go watch it you filthy animal.

Ratatouille (2007)

Anyone can cook

Anyone can make a film but only a few can be great.

Ratatouille in my humble opinion is one of if not the best of pixar who I have a high bar for making some of my favorite films period. It is about a rat named remy who wants to be a cook more than anything. But you know being a RAT and all its not that simple. So he befriends a human named linguini who works at gusteau's restaurant as a garbage boy and they slowly but surly work out a way to make this odd partnership work. That's all I will say about the plot of the movie but it also has a lot of deep messages that will get you thinking but instead of me rambling on just go watch the movie already!
