Rough Diamonds (2023)
the Godfather but with a Jewish Family in Belgium
Really great acting, lighting, and atmosphere.
I enjoyed how similar this was to the Godfather's themes and the Lion King's of the prodigal son returns after a long time hiatus and tries to defend the family's money and lives through crime and intellectual plans to rebuilt the family back to it's former glory.
Obviously, there's crime and mafias in this show too.
Lion King did the same thing with Simba having to return back to Pride Rock after running away. It's very interesting to see this
Show reminds me of Tyrant 2015 tv show as well.
Very accurate depiction of Jewish corporate families in Western Europe!!
Game of Thrones (2011)
The final season & finale: I'm the only one who loved it and it's a Masterpiece!!
I've been there since Season 1, I've read all the Ice & Fire books, Fire & Blood book, Lord of the Rings Books. It's been a love hate relationship but well worth it. I've never seen a TV show like Game of Thrones. It's so Epic. Such a marvelous cast and CGI
It's the Most Epic TV show before LOTR and House of Dragons of this year 2022.
So much blood, nudity, dark comedy, Political climate, gruesome realism, and a high fantasy atmosphere. It all just impresses me that somehow a ridiculously complex and intelligently written show like this was possible.
I love anime and it had a lot of Ying Yang philosphy and motifs.
A 10/10 for me!
Blonde (2022)
It's a Lynchian masterpiece, gentlemen
A masterpiece of the past 10 years, dare I say
Im gonna read that Blonde 2022 book source material.
It's made by the same director as The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 2007. It has the same beautiful cinematography as that film but this time it's black & white.
Ana de Armas who portrayed Marilyn Monroe is the best actress I've seen imo.
Feels like Come and See 1985 cinematography POV style. Similar themes too.
4:3 aspect ratio homage which adjusts to appropriate scenes. Nonlinear storytelling. This film isn't strict. It's fluid. Same Dream-like storytelling as David Lynch. It's Lynchian.
Late 2010s American style done in a unique and fresh way imo.
Feels like an artsy Japanese movie.
Feels like a MV.
Would this be considered a Transcendental movie?
