Lullaby (2022)
Another terrible movie
You have strange things going on in your house, so what do you do, you leave your baby lying around by itself, leave them to your crazy sister, when something is wrong, walk slowly and take your time.
Closet opening up beside, you? Don't hurry up and look, take your time.
Think you saw something on the baby monitor, oh well, just look away.
Hearing strange noises in the middle of the night? A knock on the door? Just let your husband sleep.
And why do the demons hide? What are they afraid of? Why not just come out and do their thing?
Trying to get away from the demonic woman? Take your time and looking into the windows
To summarize this movie, crying, jump scare, crying, jump scare crying jump scare...ugh.
Plane (2023)
Terrible
Every movie seems to be worse than the last seem to be worse & this is no
Predictable, boring, no character development. Did anyone think that the pilot and passengers were going to die?
Full of plot holes and inaccuracies:
The pilot leaves the cockpit after hitting turbulence? Really? Ever hear of 9/11? Planes follow the same route so he knew that there could be more turbulence but decides to walk through the plane anyways? The stewardess undoes her seatbelt during turbulence and runs toward a passenger who left their seat? Really? What was she going to do? Typical convict is actually a good guy plot twist. The bad guys shoot some passengers and the pilot wants to run out of the bushes and do what exactly? He already has a gun & is hidden. Bad guys who went to the Stormtrooper School of Shooting so good guys just walk down the street wide open while shooting, yet don't get shot. Wings on the plane hit trees when crash landing, but not when taking off.
Just terrible.
The Fabelmans (2022)
It Wasn't Bad
I wasn't even aware what this movie was about and saw it on my local app channel. I enjoyed this movie. I had my laptop out the whole time and fact checked parts of the movie that I found unbelievable and as it turns out, this movie is almost 100% fact. I liked the characters and the way Spielberg came up with special effects as a kid is incredible. It shows how some people are just born with innate talent and how just one little thing sparks an interest in a child that can bring them to superstardom. I enjoyed Spielberg's nerdy father overexplains the simplest concepts as well as the tension in the relationship between him and his mother.
The Menu (2022)
It's alright.
Slow moving movie. It had its moments, but overall it was a weak plot. LOTS OF SPOILERS AHEAD People are invited to a dinner where the chief has decided he is going to feed them all and then kill them. They all just sit there realizing they are going to die and not one person fights back. Even the chief mentions how surprised he is about how little resistance there is. The people were all invited because they have sins in their past. One guy had an affair, so he is to be killed, but the girl he had an affair with is let go. Another guy did nothing wrong but admire the chief, he is to be killed. Others did illegal money transfers, why does that matter to the chief? Yet, they are to be killed. Others, we have no idea why they are there or why the cooks working under the chief are so loyal they are willing to die. The woman who is the chiefs first in charge tries to kill someone because she is worried that she will be replaced, but she knows they are all dying that night, so why does it matter for the last few hours of her life? Pointless movie.
Amsterdam (2022)
Terrible
This movie is soooo slow and takes forever. The worst performance by Christian Bale I have seen. His character is a cross between Kramer (Seinfeld) & Nick Tortelli (Carla's husband from Cheers). After watching and leading up to the finally, the movie just would not end. Then it contains the diversity requirement by the white people falling in love with the black people and the white people with white people are bad people. The (in real life) rich Hollywood celebrities complaining about the rich is ironic. The comedy fails. Margot Robbie is as beautiful as ever and Robert DeNiro plays his usual one-dimensional character that fails to inspire. I wish I knew more about the actual events. I'm just glad I didn't pay to see this movie.
