NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Twilight (2005)
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I still have not recovered from this hour of television, all these years later. Yes, the finale of Six Feet Under is perhaps the zenith of emotional impact in this medium for many people, but for me there is nothing as painful as the ending of the NCIS second season finale.
Caitlin Todd, as portrayed by Sasha Alexander, is the ultimate womanly ideal. She is the pinnacle exemplar of what is possible in a partner - such a combination of professionalism and provocation, seriousness and sensuality, intellect and innocence.
Taken too soon say I. WHY, OH WHY?! I holler into the void and all I hear back is my own echo. RIP Cate.
Tulsa King: Warr Acres (2022)
Going along very well until this episode
I have really liked this series until about midway through this episode, where a series of missteps happened in rapid succession. Hopefully this is just an anomaly, but it feels like the writing and plotting were going along pretty well and just fell off a cliff. Specifically, unbelievable coincidences, unearned "character development" and just a drop off in quality of the writing.
They are telling me I need to write more, so here goes: it's preposterous that the weed dispensary guy Dwight happened upon also happens to be a crypto thief. The sudden turn of events with the mob boss's son is completely out of left field and feels in no way organic. I guess I've been forced into applying a spoiler tag. Whatever.
