Soldier's Girl (2003)
I re-watched it twice more.
I loved this movie. I loved the acting, the way it was presented, the special care given to the topic, the actors (esp. Troy and Lee). Those who warned re: how emotional it is were right. I ugly-cried, no, sobbed, and I won't spoil and say why. It was done 18 yrs ago and here we are more backward than when this was made.
The Affair: Episode #5.3 (2019)
bored
I am 4 episodes into it but thinking I'll quit. I gave it a chance because I liked the series a lot. How did they manage to leave out the most interesting characters? I keep waiting for Cole to turn up, he was my favorite. Hope has run out, I have to accept it's going to be about the now grown children, the future which makes it comparable to a sci fi series, a character that entered end of Season 4 and was not proving to be interesting at all. Since this is similar to watching a brand new series, I am going to find a brand new series to watch.
Bad Times at the El Royale (2018)
Bored until Billy Lee showed up
Different, for sure. I admit, at one point I was ready to turn it off, right about when Billy Lee showed up. I was glued to it after that. Turns out, I'm glad I hung in there. All the main character performances were excellent with the exception of "Emily". My God, does that actress EVER go beyond the baby doll whispery dull, boring voice. Such a poor actress. Would've been much better if someone else played her part. In every movie she ever stars in if she's ever picked to do another movie.
11.22.63 (2016)
I loved this movie. Be prepared to have a big emotional reaction if you were living during this in time in history..
I just finished watching this movie series and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. You all know the story, but the way Stephen King combined it with another plot was incredible.
American Fable (2016)
Peyton Kennedy
This fine young actress is the only girl in her age group I've ever watched and thought wow, she could be a great Scout from "To Kill a Mockingbird".
Rellik (2017)
It's worth the work it takes to figure out the timeline.
I loved it. I think the main actor, Gabriel, was brilliant, such a complicated character. It was bold, acting terrific, suspenseful, and unique. I was sad it was only 6 episodes.
