The Spencer Sisters (2023)

It's nice to see another show set in Canada, and the actresses playing the lead roles are great. However, I don't really care for the "sisters" thing. Surely they could have come up with something better. Sure, its a cute running gag, but as a title it's misleading. And I don't like the mother at all. Nothing against Lea, but she has zero regard to her daughter's feelings and concerns. The last episode I watched she did say nice things to her at the end, but I'll bet that will be forgotten next episode.

My other ussue with the show is them calling themselves private investigators. A license is required in whatever province you work in. Why has the cop friend never mentioned that?

boring

Like many others, I found it boring and somewhat confusing. I started watching but stopped after about 20 minutes. Didn't delete the recording but continued days later. Why did the step mother kill people? Why even include that in the story? Totally irrelevant.

Nothing against the actors. The plot was slow. Nothing remotely exciting happened.

Bring back Aurora Teagarden, Fixer uppers, Garage sale mysteries, Murder 101, all series with Allison Sweeney, etc. All much much better.

Please don't let this be a series. There are so many excellent cozy books that could be turned into movie series, why not adapt one of them? Would make for better viewing.
