Superb

Superb movie with extra superb songs. A man who is unable to find love in the world filled with humans with void of imperfections finds a perfect humanoid ai robot who generates feelings and is just a copy cat of the human race. Loved every scene, every song, every alleviating dialogue of the movie. Such a terrific film only Bollywood can make with futuristic sides and strong emotions mixed together along with funny scenes and heart-breaking twists and turns. I was immediately fall in love with the movie as it was progressing to its climax. Wow just wow. Kirti's acting as a robot was so good and so was Shahid Kapoor's and can't forget Dimple Kapadia too.

Unheard story
31 December 2023
I watched this movie after watching a reel made by Kusha Kapila about POV: you are the ghost from krishna cottage. Rewinded me with that nostalgic song of Shreya Ghosal. The song in the movie was crown. I legit adored the last message of the movie, so basically the movie is a blend of one sided love story and horror. The moral they gave was that the one sided love was and is unfortunate but the holder should realize the message of that love that is to give not to receive. And that the strong love is always one sided and that person has never lose or failed. I loved that message and once again the music aspect of the Bepanah along with the scenes created a heartfelt sensation. Loved that. The concept was good but horror part didn't click well.

Patriarchy
29 December 2023
Movies theme was patriarchy, how men of small villages tend to control over women and their emotions and freedom. Ranveer Singh nailed it. Sarla was the Indian version of Siri, hehe, that was funny and innovative. Liked how the men of Haryana are considered as the real men who know how to respect women and themselves have gym bodies and macho-being but still chose to not follow patriarchy. They are epitome of teaching those men who think themselves as superior than the women. Also shown that sone women in that congested society become submissive and down. I wanted movie to bd more serious like the story's moral but the rest was good.

Superb with infinity
23 December 2023
What a masterpiece? This movie should and does deserve to be considered as blockbuster movie of the year. I don't know how this movie can anyway be compared to Salaar. Shah Rukh Khan, Tapsee Pannu and director Rajkumar Hirani, this trinity is enough to kill the audience with mouth-opening movie. Bollywood's king Khan Sahab's perfect and fabulous performance. Loved will be short, I will say I legit adored the chemistry between SRK and Tapsee, the songs, the emotional aspect; oh God don't get me into those scenes. And the comedy, what was that? Hilarious with emotions to be tasted and a big message hidden in the story. My favorite movie of the year. Loved the vibes of Punjab, the route of Sindh, Big Ben's chimes and a lot more that made me 'Lut Phut Gaya'. I will kid you not I watched this movie first day first show and the very next I watched the second time, both me and my brother. This is one of those movies that can't make us bore, no matter how much we watch. Second time after the release of Dunki, and I am writing this review. I can't say no more, but for me this movie has definitely become so close to my heart.

Delhi Belly
20 December 2023
Delhi Belly is a systematic movie about three friends with f-up lives living as a middle class men in the chaotic capital city of Delhi. The city brings them a lot of uneventful pop ups that makes their life almost on the verge of being ruined. They dash around the city, stealing, kissing under the burqa, and excreting in the polluted city while finding a way out of the dust-buster series of events that had ruined their appearances much like their lives which were epitome of crashing and downfall. The city has portrayed a good role, they tried to show the people, the culture, the urban side and the water shortage.

Competitive couple
18 December 2023
A story about two people being a competitive couple. Firstly in a sense that they compete each other in who speaks well English and us educated and the music taste which they differ to each other apart from gazillion of other things. Secondly, in a sense that they compete impromptu with other couple in town for a grand annual competition which is named Dum Laga Ke Hayesha, a race filled with hurdles where a man runs while his beloved on his back. Such a lovely family romantic drama movie. There are lots of complications that they both face, and they hate each other for their appearances and likings. But story twist them into making themselves hate at a degree that they started loving one another. Kumar Sanu's voice, dialogues on education and feminism and body shaming, celibacy, point by point; wow. Plus a strong female character.

Sad to see substitute
18 December 2023
Sad to see the substitute. Both actors have unique trait and acting and the character for that point was so confusing so was story. This was Rishi Kapoor's last movie and he died in between the movie I can definitely understand there has to be a substitute to play the character but somehow it didn't click well. Thanks to Ranbir Kapoor, in the beginning of the movie to explain everything regarding this situation. We missed Rishi Kapoor and his acting was solid and nobody can replace. In fact nobody can replace no one. Everybody has their own acting and style. Paresh Rawal did his best though and he has been super hit in every play he does. But for me in my personal opinion, this movie should have put somehow else or would have twisted the story to uncover the previous leading actor. Anyhow fine efforts, it could have been improved.

Fun and family watch
18 December 2023
Panchayat is Fun and family watch. All characters are so fun loving and funny and friendly. Must say Season 2 ending was very unexpected and sad, we are hoping for a positive ending but it brought up loads of tears on our eyes. Favorite show of my home for this year. It is very hard to find such tv series these days and so Panchayat for that matter is a must watch. But if you watch it alone you might get bored but if you watch it with a family member it is more good as a lot of discussion could be popped open and a lot if good memories can be created with this comedy drama. Every character was close to heart and Neena Gupta nailed it.

Animalistic
12 December 2023
Animalistic as it sounds. The movie was more animal than the animal itself. So rude, disrespectful towards women, promoting incest behavior: first of all Reshmika, on the set Gitanjali called her beast as brother and then out of nowhere somewhere in the sky they are having intercourse, are you bonkers af? In a functional goddamn helicopter with them as pilots. Yo you better be bugging. And the female characters were so manipulative just like rashmika, I hated that performance. According to the animal theory from the movie, women are born to reproduce and have a sound decision to make out with alpha man of the tribe. Alpha man has to be one and the rest are literally sissies. Like where do you get these toxic masculine patriarchal thoughts from? The only look I liked of the movie was sardars as side characters, they had good personality for some reasons and that too had a bitter truth trait sticked to their characters as well. Kabir Singh's high version movie, I mean high. High. Father-son relations were portrayed as toxic, wife-husband and so was sibling relations too. And the attitude? Don't get me to it, bro that was above the pyramid that it hit to the height of Burj Khalifa that the attitude the hero had. Sad to miss Bobby and the national crush of India, but by the time my patient was outrun.

Sweet
12 December 2023
Sweet storyline about a family who is embarrassed about their lady of the house being pregnant. A lot of complications arise, a lot of bittersweet dramas, heartbreak, family conflicts and so on. I loved Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra together. The song nain na jodeen was enough to get me 9 stars for this underrated Bollywood master gem. The song is so emotional and touches heart in eerie way. Shocking as it is Ayushmann Khurrana's own sung song. The story focuses how a middle class family looks down to themselves for the sake of the standards the society has made. This movie is perfect blend of love and family.

Passionate
28 November 2023
Passionate love story with big turns and twists that has the capability to blow the watcher's mind. Such a captivating story. Enjoyed it. Hooks you up to the movie, without distraction of zero as story follows direct and settings in another story dimension. The dialogues at some point felt weak but on contrary, sometimes it was way too much heart touching. I like how the actor did his part by flowing in his character, aggressive and stubborn. A mad lover. At the end they tell that the story is based on true events. The real life hero was Siva, a lovesick guy. Feel bad for him. Bollywood love stories are not just rain romance but also psycho behaviors that breaks barriers of all limits.

Slow
25 November 2023
Even though the film is not too long to watch but the worst part it does is the story is so damn slow that it could prolong to that of the speed of turtle. One of the best YouTube Bollywood reviewer suggested to watch this. I did not like it. Saying that it resembles the movie that of Anushka Sharma NH something. God no. This movie is not a even bit similar to that. That Anushka's film was so close to heart and horrific but this one no way, I wanted to skip all parts. This movie is like slow train on the track that demands fast pace. Rustling and old, screeching and predictable to were it will lead.

Gem piece in the dusty closets of horror films
24 November 2023
Gem piece in the dusty closets of horror films. A little diverted from those hoha Bollywood horror movies. Loved what Bipasha and Imran Abass did in the movie. Genuinely appreciated is Bipasha's facial expressions and her overall character, her anxiety issues and the panic attack and all. Just a character I was longing to see for a long time. I liked how anxiety disorder was portrayed in the film, loved how Imran gives advice to Bipasha to stay present rather than roaming mentally in the future or finding self to be stuck in the past. Creature also contained informal references from Hinduism for Brahm Rakshas and rural fables that were orally conveyed, mistaken as ponder of superstitious for people who were out of the clan. All this time, when I was watching the movie, I was waiting eagerly for the song: Na Bewafa. Crown of the entire film.

Horror
21 November 2023
Horror movie, but just like the cliche Bollywood horror film. I was attracted to the movie by its very fresh song, Sans lene se bhi ziyada, with beauty of Venice in the background. Every actor did good, Nargis was too much though. But Sachin who played Karan, Mona, the butler guy, Sameer, Rohi and Maya, all were very good in their characters. Perfect movie to watch in weekend winter night. My special effect was the murmurs of the song in the night, it really touched somewhere in the core of my heart. Somehow Bollywood has this magic to touch our hearts no matter even a small scene in movies. Religious aspect was also encouraging.

Ghajini meets Half Girlfriend
13 November 2023
Ghajini meets Half Girlfriend. One of the perfect picture of those nostalgic perfect years. How come I miss this movie? I watched it after many years. Although heard a lot about it. Awari song by Momina was so deep and heart touching along with my another favorite one; Hamdard, this song brings up numerous emotions in one play. The movie was so good too, little felt like Ghajini while on the other hand it felt like Half Girlfriend cliche. But that's what I loved, typical Bollywood movie, with loads of emotions, romance, action and revenge. The story all above was very strong. How it connected dots along the roles was so interesting.

Rebel with a cause
30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is about those rebels with a cause, undercover set of people who works against the institutes and the authority, in order to bring justice, peace and a flag of equal rights and freedom, to those whose rights have been deteriorated, and has their life demolished, due to ignorance. It has two references or you could say reflections, definitely not a copy though because plagiarism in a big project, seriously who the hell would be up for that, were of Matrix's pills, same color, blue or red, you choose. And the other, the savage, catchy brought-up of Money Heist. The movie had a lot of things to ponder about, how factories crumble our environment, foreign investors putting their money to the third world countries for massive deterioration to generate money, farmer's rights, revival of old Bollywood songs, diversity(characters from all walks of life), indigenous religions, VIP culture of India and how proletariats are treated, father-daughter relationship, father-son relation, that dialogue, "Bete ko hath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar, says "deal with the father before you touch his son", abortion, democracy, right to vote, life of prisoners and those accused. Movie tells you how rebels are formed, out of what cruelity they have gone through, just like an example of my favorite character in the movie was, Eerum was doctor in government hospital and due to an outbreak, government hospitals had no facility of oxygen cylinders, so she uses another medical instrument as a substitute, but as a result, she got accused of medical malpractice and her medical license is revoked, not just that, but she also gets life imprisonment. Mind you, this story was based on real life incident of Dr. Kafeel Khan. Sanya Malhorta did an excellent job, I like the way she conversed and her whole character, in fact. A lot of tiny stories are embedded in the entire movie, it deals about corruption too. Don't ask me how much I hated Kali, though. Background music was good but overall songs were not that good as it should have been. Good point is that there was romance, emotion and suspense but the week point, in my opinion was of course the hogwash that kept following the entire movie of the deadly action scences. I like story-based movies more than action-based, but still Shahrukh Khan is Shahrukh Khan, at the end.

Average
3 September 2023
Average series but liked the overall notion of it. Sakshi Tanwar's work is at a level we cannot measure, she is best, seriously! The storyline could have been better although as I said idea was good but putting it on screen made it a bit of unbalanced series. The way motherhood was portrayed by Sakshi Tanwar, the way she said, "Guddiya" to her daughter who was deaf and innocent. The conflict part made it a bit confusing. The movie related to this series was the one Sridevi did, and I like it. The story was to show the power and love of mother especially how revengeful a mother can get over her kid's enemies but this one could have been better.

Lahore kare aashique
2 September 2023
This movie just like another Chandigarh kare aashique but made in Pakistan; a handsome Punjabi guy falls head over heels for a trans girl. I love this theme. It just opened up whole lot of sense that afflicts the society even as conservative society like that of Pakistan. Scenes of self erotic onamism is included along with other scenes that is mature and pg18. Issues like mental illness, LGBTQ, gerontophilia, dysphoria, superstition, conservatism and lot of such are highlighted throughout the movie. The movie is about a married Punjabi man living in Lahore, finds himself drooling over a trans girl, who is a dancer in the local theatre. The movie, not just leaves the audience in the state of fun-melancholy but furthermore leaves a spot of question mark over the sexual freedom in land of pure. And how eventually conservatism consumes the shackles of troublesome attitude over sexual compassion?

Emotional outbursts
1 September 2023
A movie that can bring a load of flood of cries. It is emotional with elements that of revenge. Revengeful. Story about two identical twins, but one day this bond disconnects after a brutal incident that occurs leaving one of them shattered while losing the other of her genetic doppelgänger. It was painful to watch. As always just KKHH, in this movie too Kajol looked so good being a tomboy. Her character was dope, like seriously. She nailed it. Songs were top notch. Song: Awaz do humko-omg so good- so was chitti na koi sandesh, so deep and sad melody. The lover story angle was so so so good between Sanju baba and Kajol. The quarrel dialogues and romantic exchanges of words were so heart touching.

Life in hustle bustle
26 August 2023
A movie that shows how people live, moreover survive in the metropolitan cities and its triggering strategical life that induces so much of emotions, pain and unexpectedness. Amazing work done by all actors. Although few scenes felt cliche, but do I care? No because it was fun. Few scenes felt like that of Madhur Bhandarkar's movies Page 3 and Fashion, especially Kangana Ranaut's acting, as she curses and lits cigarette. Mumbai brought up a lot of hustle for all those characters trapped in its caged rat race, and unexpected throws that the metropolitan city does. I like how they showed the life people live in Mumbai.

Family entertainment
22 August 2023
Family entertainment movie by Karan Johar. Loved this movie.... The family belonging, the part that dealt with family and family issues were just so wow. Ranveer Singh and his dead gorgeous character along with intellectual Bengali character of our heroine, Alia Bhatt was superb. Both looked so damn good with each other. The element of family feud was inserted , Punjabi vs Bengali. Their differences and how both are so opposite of each other as in community wise. Their culture, language and even thinking. And how they will connect with each other on agreeable ground. I wanted to watch this movie very badly as Lilly Singh, herself suggested this movie on her Instagram and that the movie dealt with a lot of issues like racism, sexism, cultural differences, etc.

Truthful
20 August 2023
OMG 2 is a gem work. Gem movie that shows how sex education should be taught in educational institutions. And how sex is not something that should be looked down to. A lot of research might have been needed to do this movie. I liked how they use Hinduism and its vast and ancient teachings to spread the notion, and the movie tried to show how open minded are the set of beliefs embedded in the religion of Shiv. Shiv's portrayal triggered goosebumps for me. Every scene was so good. It made me laugh, cry, smile, acceptable and challenged me to educate myself more, especially through the light of ancient science and of course modern science and how both correlates with each other.

Gadar was better
19 August 2023
Part one of this movie had a neutral point of view towards the opponents and both of the communal rivalry was balanced. Gadar was not a movie, but whole lot of emotion itself. But I am reviewing Gadar 2, so let's stick to it. I don't think this movie was equal to that of it's first part. You can't show nationalism in the name of hating another country and being one pointed all throughout the movie. It was sad to see propagating war, hatred and false self believe of being better than the other country, leaving no scope for betterment. Sakina in the entire movie was missing, she was the real gem of the story. Missed Amrish Puri.

Jesus, Ruskin Bond and not sued Sussana
5 May 2023
Based on Ruskin Bond's amazing novella Susanna's Seven Husband. This movie although not a ditto copy of the novel it was based on but was equally mind boggling, disturbing in a good way that make you jump out of your comfort level. Ruskin Bond himself came out as an actor in the movie in the last scenes. The movie's end moral and especially where it landed on, which was spiritual path/self orientated, was what made this movie outstanding than the other Bollywood movies. Darling song was lit. The movie moves you to the time of British colonial era in India, a lot of English characters, Victorian culture and Sussana being Anglo-Indian character herself. Out of all, the dialogue "I want to drink his blood" is the one that has remained in my mind ever since the movie released.

Pop Up comedy
14 April 2023
Comedy, though being the main element of the entire movie, was thing that popped up, rather than being the main aspect. And does made sense at some point consedireing the plot of the movie. Kunal Khemu, with his good looks, had made the movie a great enjoyment with his acting that should not underestimated. The movie does also tries its best to keep up the suspense factor and you never know what can turn out after other minute. This movie should not be limited to OTT platform but should have released in cinema houses. We cannot deny the talent and we should definitely appreciate it with crowd and gathering and positive chaos.
