The Beekeeper (2024)
one more stupid over the top Hollywood action movie
The only good part the stealth and fitness of Jason Statham.
This movie is so bad that where to start. Ofcourse the story didn't delayed and started immediately with a scam and then Jason went on killing spree.
The first few actions were a bit relatable and ok but then the story became from good to bad and then worse when the president of USA showed up and the secret service could not even did the job they always were regarded as highly and that js to secure and save the president. No character building and not much of investigation.
Its a one man show and the most irritating were those two FBI agents who for no reason were cracking boring jokes on each other and eve though they had chances but never cared to shoot him.
The main villain who is again another immature gen z character who js always high on drugs was easily having drugs within the presidential house and killed the fbi director as if nothing to worry about.
Damn boring boring and repetitive. All characters were so boring and irritable in nature.
The best scene was the ending when i left my seat.
Baby (2015)
This js what a serious spy thriller movie
Yes movie is not perfect but what a story, what an act by all including cameos.
Baby proved that Indian makers if wished to can make more realistic spy thriller movies. Hope we see more of this and less of Stupid Rohit's cop universe and recently over rated YRF Spy Universe movies which have very little to offer.
Why are the makers not making these kind kf movies where the opponent or the villain is as tough and strong like Kay Kay Menon and it need brain to foil the plans. Best part was the integration of Danzeopa who played the role so effectively that it looked very very convincing.
I just love this movie.
Dunki (2023)
Ok movie but not great
It is an ok one time watch move and not like Hirani's other older movies which we can watch multiple times. The movie is about the Dunki path and yes this is very true where many risk the lives and money for getting into a foreign land. They end of doing petty jobs and a low life fearing from cops and immigration officers. Some forge into taking political asylum.
This movie could had been much better if it could had actually shown various challenges which the travellers undertake via dunki where as in this it just happened immediately.
The only beautiful part was Vicky Kaushal who played a great small role but essayed it very micely. Anyways we all know the trademark of Hirani's movie how he incorporates a death scene to bring in emotion.
From my end its a 1 time watchable movie with family. The ending was completely baseless and was not good. Sarukh and other actors were really good.
I was more hoping to see a gripping true story of illegal immigrants.
The Jengaburu Curse (2023)
Stiry is hood but could had been much better
This series has potential and story is nice. The series was shot in the actual locations which is good but what I didn't liked as a Odia myself is that this story tried to be a more pro Naxal and justifying the actions.
But the series lack a lot of reality, murders happening every 5/10 mins and in some cases some high profile govt officers are getting murdered and no investigation or research done. The murders also happening at such ease as if no one cares.
The actors did their best but still the series because of its pro Naxal sentiment and showing unnecessary killings lost my interest. Many pot holes in between with some characters not showing the depth in the acting.
Dhootha (2023)
Not great but still good
The story is engaging and the suspense was good. Just that the acting of Naga Chaitanya. Rest all did well. And just bcz it is a suspense and horror story that dont mean it will keep raining the whole time. Since episode 1 till the end it just keep raining for no reason. I didnt like it but if you like it enjoy it. One time watch and mostly forgettable.
The frustrating character was Naga Chaitanya himself giving same irritating expressions through out. This could had been easily be done by some other good actors but he just ruined the mood of the series. Anyways watch it like it and enjoy it.
Animal (2023)
Good action but unacceptable story and boring boring
Directors are taking the indian citizens as granted. Movie shows a load of bad dialogues and lot of insults to women and society. I could not figure out if the movie was shot in India or in Mexico.
Movie is about a son who lives his father no matter how much his father hates him. I still am trying my best to figure out what this movie wish to inspire the viewers? I cant understand what this movie was made of. Yes it had some good acting by Lord Bobby and Ranbir but no where this movie is acceptable where all are insulting each other and Ranbir to get the truth of his enemy slept with another girl and just moved on with his wife like nothing happened.
No cops or nothing to investigate so many murders. This movie have nothing new to be honest and don't know why a few are saying its the benchmark of Indian movie where according to me the benchmark were Lagaan and Swadesh.
This movie only focused on Ranbir Kapoor but very few scenes of Lord Bobby and others as if they were completely non existent.
Sam Bahadur (2023)
Top class acting and good movie but could had been better
Sam Bahadur is just not a movie but an emotion when you watch the legendary field marshal Sam Manekshaw.
The movie was not about wars but about the life and the leader that sam Bahadur was. His discipline and love for Indian armed forces were very beautifully shown and was captured in this movie. Vicky Kaushal again gave a stellar performance by playing the role of Sam Manekshaw where we can see the way he had embraced the character. Please do not go to the theatre expecting a war saga but please do go into the theatre to learn and understand the complexity of Sam Manekshaw and his relations with his subordinates and his family.
Movie shows the life of Sam Bahadur, all the way from his IMA days till he retired as the first defence personnel to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshall and that too just 15 days before his retirement. So far two Indian field marshals to date.
I loved that the director, writer and the cast had done a thorough research although they did a few changes in a few scenes as part of the creative liberty but it showed the most historic partition that Indian and Pakistan army had and how Sam had very good close relationship with Yahya Khan and other Pakistani army officers as they were all trained at IMA and were from the same batch and even had fought against the Axis power duringthe World War 2 and rose to become prominent army leaders in their respective administrative. One scene where he sold his bike to Yahya Khan for 1000 inr in 1947 and post the liberation of East Pakistan and forming Bangladesh he jokingly said in one of the interview in 1971 that Yahya Khan didnt paid him 1000 INR for the bike he sold and so he took half of his country.
I liked how its showed even in IMA the aggresive and the ruthless character of Tikka Khan (also well known as the Butcher of baloch and Bangladesh) the officer who initiated operation searchlight that killed many Bangladeshi and that resulted in the 1971 war.
The movie progressed well and showed the complex relationship between Sam and Indira. Sam was always known for his straight forwardness and that resulted in many prominent leaders disliking him which also resulted in stopping his pension untill President Abdul Kalam revived the pay. As he was holding the rank of Field Marshall and although he announced his retirement but was not retired from the army service because of the rank he held till his death in 2008, since the field marshal rank never retires.
The movie also showed how armed forces boost the morale post the 1967 when Sam Manekshaw was suspended due to wrong accusations against him by his superior and the then corrupt Defence Minister Menon. How he was reinstated and was asked to take charge of the army to damage control.
Movie too showed each of the characters like a small shot where Raw founder and Raw chief KN Rao too cane with vital information to Sam and other defence personnel in the Ops room.
The 1971 war was where the spirit of India could be seen from the planning to preparations and finally the execution.
Like I said do not expect to see the whole war but they beautifully showed the real war videos and photos of the 1971 war with a nice chest thumping song to cover all the scenarios where how Naval blockade and operation python was a huge success and then airforce bombing and destroying the Pakistani airfields and supply lines. Sam did acknowledged the bravery at the battle of Longewala and the bravery that Indian army and airforce showed together.
The generation should be inspired of such personalities but many are more interested in only movies like Animal or Kabir Singh.
This movie is not about the usual chest thumping or high pitched patriotism. Its a true story based on the life of Sam Bahadur.
Yaariyan 2 (2023)
I have no idea how this movie got 8.3
I am done and will not review this as nothing left for me to review. This movie sucks, acting sucks and story yukkk.
They tried copying the Bangalore Diaries and this is what an example of a bad, stupid, non worthy movie is all about.
Anyways this movie should be in the guiness book of world record for the most idiotic bad acting skills. The movie is about three cousins and their bond and friendship but what it had was bloody acting, stupid dialogues, baseless characters, and stupid expressions. The movie had nothing to offer and no takeaways from this movie and so I decided to stop watching this after 30 mins.
