Civil War (2024)

Should be called: Civil War: Photoshoot

This movie has really good cinematography, the actors do their job and that's it. The plot is very basic/inexistent. There's another Civil war going on and at no point you have any idea why, who and what's even the point. The reporters do road-trip to try and get pictures of the ongoing war, kinda like Nightcrawler movie road-trip, but you never really feel connection with what's going on. The movie basically has about 4 encounters/acts that feel bland imho.

The final encounter, considering who the main target, felt very localized and was over-simplifyed. I mean: It felt like a fight between not more than 100 soldiers.

I was expecting a full-fledged war movie and what I got was a shallow display of a war that sometimes didnt even felt it was there if the characters didnt kept talking about it.

I really wanted to like it but for me the movie tries to be over-artistic and by doing that it feels way too bland.

Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War (2024)

A must see Doc with Insane Footage/interviews from protagonists who were there.

This documentary covers pretty much all the major events that resulted in and from the Develpment of the Fission or Termonuclear bombs. With high quality footage, 1st person interviews with protagonists, or relatives who were 'there' when an event took place, some were even a key piece on it (journalists/activists) either on divided Germany, the Comunist Hunt in the US, the Cuba Missile crysis, the Bombing of Hiroshima/Nagazaki, Staline rise/rule to power, The Manhattan Project, the race to find how to split the atom and create a chain reaction during WWII. This doc series has it all, 9 hours of exquisite throughput of 80+ years of history and how close we were to face extinction with the press of a few buttons. A much see for both afficionados and everyone really, who seeks to understand the world we live in.

Ambulance (2022)

Pretty Action Paced Popcorn Movie

A lot of reviewers are taking this Movie way too serious which makes no sense. I mean it's a Michael Bay Movie with car chases, fast camera action, explosions, crazy dialogues and a simple plot, I mean the story doesnt need to be that complex for a movie such as this.

Speaking of story, I do admit that the movie was maybe a bit longer than it needed, imho shouldnt have reached 2hour time, so I feel like the story was to streched specially in the last 20/30 minutes.

Other from that I believe the camera work, editing and chase sequences are all pretty well made, can only imagine the ammount of work it took to record and assemble all of this.

All in all its a pretty cool Popcorn Action movie with a simple story and fast paced car/helicopter chases and explosions. That's Michael Bay for ya.

House of the Dragon (2022– )

Boring And Linear Soap-Opera

5 Stars are for the production and visuals, the 6st Star is for this being GOT (even if it pales in comparison with the Original Series). Ye its pretty Bland and Basic in what comes to plot-twists and turns in the argument (they are barely even unexisting), also not enough interesting or memorable characters and moments. Some episodes I swear they throw a Dragon Flying so that the show doesnt get too boring or uninteresting. The main issue really is the wooden and linear story that just isn't interesting enough, which is the antithesis of the original show. Should I recomend this if your a fan of GOT? Yes, just don't get your hopes too high or you'll be tremendously disapointed.

The Northman (2022)

Starts Really Well and Goes downhill(s) Fast

In what comes to visuals, audio, music and Gore this movie is excelent. The history, not so much. Not gonna give information about the plot, just gonna say that I was expecting a Movie with which felt like and adventure, lots of traveling, more (interesting) characters and an history a bit more complex and engaging (kinda like Gladiator).

The Movie Story starts excelent and very promissing, but as soon as the main character goes to Iceland all I saw was a character that had a predictive, and unecessary plan, to achieve a goal, that could have been achieved in the first hours of Iceland, the area that becomes the main location in the movie which makes it BORING and Dragging.

All the spiritual, Isoteric and Viking Costumes are really nice to behold and the first Part for the Movie is excelent and promissing, but for me thats when the Movie ends. I really wanted to Like this but I believe the Dull/Predictive an unecessarely boring story prvented me from further enjoying it.

Just to be clear: I loved the Lighthouse, it was artistic, Grim, Raw and had a crazy-ass Artistic-Play like plot, and that's fine, that's what was expected. But not The Northman. Where is my action, fierce battles, where's the feel of revenge? I guess it got lost while rowing to Iceland.

The Batman (2022)

Boring, Dull and Depressing

I'll start by saying the movie is way too long, unecessarely long (by 1h at least). This Batman feels so weak and "human" When I saw the first fight I fought it was meant to be a copycat of him (Like we seen in other movies) I was shocked how 'normal' the fight was and simple, that would be fine, if this wasnt a guy dressed as Batman (which is supposed to be Batman), the same happens with every other fight tbh. Remember when you feel every punch the Batman throws in the other movies when they hit a bad guy? U dont have that here, its simple punches and kicks. Oh he does have his ass kicked a lot, by simple thugs lol I guess he forgot some of the learned techniques from League Of Shadows along the depression.

The detective Work is boring and unispiring, Batman feels like he's constantly on drugs (Xanax or something) he's always slow talking, slow in movements and those stares... they overdid those for sure. Penguin and Catwoman cast are decent but story wise nothing special.

I think they kinda overdid the Riddler a bit and I think he tries too hard, but no facial expressions along the movie kinda ruin the character charisma, but thats how it is.

Oh and dont forget about your galoches and rubber boat, does it rain in the gotham! Which is not a bad thing, just meant to mention it.

So, if your life is 'perfect' and want to feel a bit depressed and dull, go and watch this. This doesn feel like Batman, it feels like a regular man who is pissed at everything and doesnt know why.

Lucy (I) (2014)

10% Smart, 90% Dumb

Unfortunately the movie is built around the myth that we only use 10% of our brain and that, on it's own, is not true, if we used only 10% we wouldnt still be more than dumb primates trying to open a banana while jumping on top of it.

Now that i got that out of the way the movie on its own starts promissing and interesting until they decide to start using telekinesis and limb construction/manipulation stuff, also the story has no essence at its core, same clichê vilains, same clichê car chases and gunfires.

I mean Lucy is smart but she uses more her "external" skills than her brains and that places her smarts far far behind the likes of characters like Jason Bourne and James Bond.

Its a funny movie and i know it wasnt meant to be realistic but god damn, they really exagerated a bit on this one. Also I hope you like Pen Drives with 2.045.114.454.456.447 TBs of Space. This movie really has "everything" but ultimately not that much.

Child's Play (2019)

If the idea was to use a dumb doll as an defectous AI, they should have changed the name of the Movie, Child's Play is about a psycophat killer trapped in a doll, not a terminator lol dumb remake! 2 stars are fir the gore and the effects and because people are rating 10 stars! Go and watch the original ones instead!

Chappie (2015)

Don't listen to the Dumb Critics and Watch It!

Most of the critics I'm reading here watched 15 minutes of the movie or half and hour and decided to come here and say the movie sucks. why haven't they watched the whole movie? because people want fast-food like movies who are easy to digest not well written and directed Movies like this one. Chappie has it all, action, comedy, heartwarming cinematography, this movie will make you love robots as if it was a puppy! Give it a chance and watch the whole thing before coming here babbling about what you don't understand! Watch if and decide for yourself. Just giving it a 10 for the dumb people giving it a 1 and 3 who don't even like this genre of movies and don't even base their review opinions since they've watched a short movie clip.

Us (II) (2019)

Boring and Missed Opportunity.

The title says it all, the main plot idea is great but poorly executed, long dragging scenes for no reason whatsoever, comic relief moments kinda out of place, more plot holes than a swiss cheese. The three stars are for the soundtrack, cinematography (NOT THE SLOW DRAGGING SHOTS) and the acting. Avoid it like the plague. You have been warned. Oh and just ignore the elitist movie critiques that say that this is an amazing movie.

The Predator (2018)

Is this supposed to be a Parody? Ridiculous Movie.

Just when I was expecting a Predator movie which would finally get back to the roots of the franchise (since this movie ignores all the predator movies after Predator 2) We got the exact opposite! I'll do a small resume:

• Nonsensical Argument
• Stupid and Dumb Characters and "soldiers"
• Silly (Awkward and Ridiculous) Jokes and exaggeration of the use of the F word
• Same lame effects from AVP franchise
• Lack of Suspense/Horror from the original movies (By FAR).
• Bizarre and nonsensical use of Predator Weapons and Perks by EVERYONE.

The only thing this travesty of a Movie has to do with the original Franchise is the music. Also, prepare to the Sequel: Predator VS Power Rangers (u'll understand when u see the last scene).

Avoid at all Cost, this movie makes AVP looks like Oscar worthy material.

Tomb Raider (2018)

Lara Flop

Being a fan of the games, especially the last 2 from the Reboot, this movie falls flat. The writers completely missed the story and wasted the potential of the Yamatai Island... In the first game reboot (from where this movie is based upon) the island has several dangers and areas and so much to unveil and find but in the movie all we see as like 2% of the island and that's it... The back story is irrelevant as well, and the island storms et al mean zero to the idea of the movie when they should... This movie could have been done in about 30 minutes and even that way it would fall flat. Very disappointed. If you love the games (old and new), or even so, avoid at all cost, you have been warned!

Predator 2 (1990)

Underrated Sequel, Arnold wouldn't fit here...

This sequel is awesome, people should stop comparing Predator 2 with the first installment since they are very different in sets and story! Special effects, actors, music and scenes are awesome, great FX as well for a movie from 1990! To the ones saying this movie sucks since Arnie is not in it, he wouldn't fit anyways... This is about regular bad-ass Cops that meet an Alien entity of which they know nothing about! That's the Whole idea! Using Arnie would spoil all of this, specially since he was a 'Mercenary' and weapon expert and he also already knew how to defeat the Alien threat! Also the set would be ridiculous... A guerrilla fighting an Aline threat in the middle of LA... Do people really think that would work? Get Real. Amazing movie and one of my all time favorite sequels!

Money Heist (2017–2021)

You will laugh and you will cry, AMAZING Series!

As most of the reviewers I didn't knew exactly what all the fuss was about this series receiving such high praises until I decided to watch it and my oh my... It really is that good! Perfect Score, perfect script, great character development, AMAZING actors, thrilling plot-twists, great photography.

Everything is there! You will laugh and cry, you will feel the show in your gut and love it! Do yourself a favor: Stop reading reviews and start watching! Just watch it in SPANISH and not dubbed, you will thank me later! Bella Ciao Berlin, Professor and all the cast and crew for this incredible show! What a ride!
