Nicktoons Unite! (2005)
My favorite video game!
Great graphics. Amazing story. Should have been a movie instead, but this is a-okay by me.
It's rough to play sometimes, but it keeps the gameplay fresh. My only complaint is how the cutscenes are animated, but it's really a small thing, since my top 3 favorite Nick shows are in one story together.
It's obvious Nickelodeon didn't give the developers enough time to develop this game, considering how quiet the soundtrack is, but that's Nickelodeon for you, so, whatever. And I don't play a game for the music. Plus, I haven't played it in a while, so, my memory might be faulty.
2 thumbs up from me!
Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo (2006)
One of the absolute best endings I've ever seen in a show~
This movie gets 2 thumbs up from me! Great music! Great Plot! The heart and humor of the show are still there.
Some may dislike it because it didn't tie up the "loose ends" left in "Things Change", but I'd like to argue that that episode was not a cliffhanger, but just another episode. Assuming you're all familiar with it, the Absorbtion Creature is not unlike any other monster in the show, having no origin, so, there's no need to explain its sudden appearance. Also, the Titans give a few theories about why Terra has returned, my favorite being that the effect that turned her into a statue just wore off, because it's like DC Comics when you think about it. And as for Slade sending a robot decoy makes sense considering Terra killed him at the end of Season 2; he's obviously afraid of what'll happen if she gets her memory back and finds out he's alive again.
Meaning this movie managed to tie up the only plot threads really left by the show: Robin's attempts to prove himself and getting him and Starfire together. As Robin discovers that Commander Daizo is really a villain who's trying to pass himself off as a hero, Robin learns what it really takes to be a hero and realizes he never had anything to prove. And thus, everything keeping him from getting together with Starfire is gone. And the kiss! Oh, the kiss!! As Cyborg said, "It's About time."
If you're a fan of the show, I recommend you check it out ASAP!
The Fairly OddParents: Timmy's Secret Wish! (2011)
Such a loving special!
While there are a few minutes that irk me, I really enjoyed this special! People always go on about how much Timmy grew up in Channel Chasers, but how can they ignore the love Timmy displays for Cosmo and Wanda, his real family, and his determination to stay with them as long as he can. How is that NOT admirable?! Plus, this episode is hilarious! Better than Channel Chasers, in my opinion.
Also, I look at the moment when Father Time returned things to normal as the moment that split the Fairly OddParents timeline in different directions: one with Season 9, one with season 10, one with Fairly Odder, one toward the live-action films, and one toward the new rumored reboot.
I give this special 2 thumbs up!
