This is a Tarantino/Avery favorite and I'm sure when they watched together it was a blast. Watching it alone was kind of a drag. It had some decent moments but I have to finally admit to myself that low budget horror just doesn't cut it for me. The silly factor was a bit too high. Samantha Eggar's performance was quite good although her reactions to the literal horrors she faced were bizarrely detached, like, is your character even of this world? Pacing was fine, although the story jumped around so fast I got whiplash. The Hand itself was given a mischievous personality. Lots of creativity bringing it to life. It hands down stole the show ;)
So again, if you're gonna watch it, invite a few friends over and enjoy the silliness.
