Training Day (2017)
white washed
or maybe white savior. whatever. apparently cbs audience has moved on from being senile seniors and is now clueless millennials. why would anyone after having endured the promos ever waste more than 5 minutes on this drivel? pathetic.I do not remember the last time I watched a network TV show in real time. or in any time for that matter. I am a person not a consumer or demographic. last I saw, my brain still works so why would I pretend that I didn't see the movie? having seen it why would I now not IMMEDIATELY reject this premise? knowing what went on in the movie why would I think this show would in any way resemble it? just as in the execrable lethal weapon disaster on fox why would TV execs green light this garbage on anything higher than a 3rd tier cable network such as whatever they are calling the old sci fi network now? I know the reviews section is going away from IMDb because they are tired of getting real reviews and want us all to be docile pablum ingesters but whatever. the cancellation of this excrement cant happen soon enough.
Operation Avalanche (2016)
stupidity for stupid people
in case you haven't heard, mankind landed on the moon. several times. internet douches tried to claim it was faked. they were debunked by nasa when they redid a laser light experiment involving equipment left on the moon. by mankind. because so many people are stupid sometimes lame concepts are funded and acted upon. this is one of them. did you even stop to think [ no you didn't because you're looking at reviews of this garbage ] that men didn't land on the moon in 1967? the cia doesn't send 'young' anybody to do anything unless its using copiers or getting coffee? neil armstrong is a very famous astronaut for a reason? the russians were trying and failing to land men on the moon? as a friend said to me today, 'man people are stupid'. he is right. and you are stupid if you watch this movie
Glory Road (2006)
a joke like all basketball movies
they never trailed in the championship game. the coach wasn't in his first year. Hollywood never tells the truth in sports movies. part of why this movie sucks. they screwed up intentionally most of the actual games. a shame really. every movie about sports always over emphasizes the role of the white coach who is always a stereotype. they always use dramatic music even in the most mundane situations they depict which are always overblown. don haskins was known as the bear. this pantywaist looks like a douche. I bet a basketball in his hands would be lethal to himself. of course the viewers who watch this movie have no idea about the real life events. thats fine though because their world is so vapid that actual facts would be too much for them to handle
The Hurt Locker (2008)
you've got to be kidding
this has got to be a joke. I watched this movie only because I heard bigelow got the British equivalent of the best director award. are you kidding? shaky cam and slow focus cam are the type of crap you expect to see from some douche making an 'arty' amateur video. the 'story' of a loser who only feels alive disarming bombs is just stupid. would the military really allow putting team members in jeopardy repeatedly for one obscure loser? if you want to see what this movie was intending to be story wise, watch the deer hunter. or generation kill. if this movie wins ANY Oscars then it just goes to show how foolish the academy is. this is not a good movie, not a good story, not entertaining, and not well directed. if you're going to wait to see who gets blown up its in the beginning and the ending of the movie. otherwise wait to see ralph fiennes show up unexpectedly. there's nothing else to see here. move along please.
