Waking (I) (2013)

Amazing idea for a film!

I caught this film at the Phoenix Film Festival and really, REALLY loved the idea. What you would do if you met a person in real life and then kept having dreams about them and they were having the same dream about you. The idea of carrying on this whole other life with someone while you're asleep, night after night. It's all at once intriguing, fun, scary, sad and complicated. And "Waking" does a great job of capturing all those feelings of this amazing what-if experience. The film looks beautiful and all the actors do a really wonderful job. And as a "Daly Show" fan, it was nice to see Tim and Sam Daly pop up in there. :) Definitely a recommend.

Ridiculously awesome show!

I saw this at ITVfest a few weeks ago and this show is seriously hilarious. It's a look in the life of two L.A. hipsters (which everyone in L.A. will totally relate to) as they move from one ridiculous adventure to the next. Someone said it reminded them of Abfab but to me it's sweeter than AbFab and not quite as dark. Though, there may be as much drinking. Vivian Kerr and Heleya DeBarros do a great job as Elle and Marci and the writing is witty with loads of pop culture references without being too Juno-ish. Awesome show, highly recommended. Best web series I've seen in a LONG time.

Favorite line: Marci (while recovering from a hangover): "I feel like a Maroon 5 song" Elle: "Shitty?" Marci: "Shitty"

That Zuvembie #1!

I think that Zuvembie #1 is awesome! She's scary as all hell! I just thought the movie was all right until those hooded creatures showed up and that's when I thought the movie got good. Props to the actress Julia Marchese for doing such a good job!
