Don't waste your money or snooze time

I dozed off twice in this one. The closing credits were as creative as the animation in the rest of the movie. The continuity was lacking in a number of scenes, which is critically important because of the constant jumping from human to animated action. The soundtrack was actually the best part of this movie. Acting was terrible. I kept being reminded of other movies' characteristics: aspects of James Bond and Alice in Wonderland; Wild, Wild West (failed attempts at interesting 19th-century technology) and Jumanji (CGA was outdated); Indiana Jones (anachronistic wisecracks), Frankenstein, and Young Frankenstein (an erudite monster). The main characters are all attractive but hardly three-dimensional, Save your $$$.

Blew me away!

An excellent entertainment, though very different from this ensemble's other pseudo-documentary efforts (Spinal Tap, Best in Show).

Incredibly creative. I'm a fan of folk music and this film really nails the eclectic backgrounds of folk musicians, right down to the distinctive vocalizations, multi-line harmonies and excessive enthusiasm. I was so impressed that all the parodied songs were written and performed (well) by the actors and I now covet the sound track. Get ready for a lot of subtle humor and story lines and enjoy the send-up.
