The Persuaders! (1971)
a creole scream with one olive
As mentioned in somebody else his/ her comment, I also like the theme of the Persuaders by John Barry, and indeed it sounds like there's coming up a lot of danger. As an 8 year old child, seeing the rehearsel, I do found it dangerous. Seeing it now, I see a lot of humour and some played sarcasm between a typical american and a typical englishman. Ask Persuaders fans there favourite "persuader" and you always get the answer that it's hard to choose. I like Roger Moore's way of acting, but without Tony it's no fun. Recently I joint a fanclub, bought all chaptures on DVD and learned much more about my most favourite series ever.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
time wasting!!!
I saw the movie on a plane to new york, and thought having seen trailers from it, that it'll be a nice movie. Sleeping had been a better option: The jokes in the movie are predictable, the running gag in it simply not funny and I cannot recognize a line or story in it. The whole story plays at one location and the actors are very cheap so it must be a cheap budget. But I'll think the makers already knew they made crap with this script.
Reservoir Dogs (1992)
get the message!!!!!!!!!
What a nice movie this is, especially seen its budget was very restricted. Non chronological and hard. You only understand what's going on after seeing it a few times. First seeing it, the movie had just begun and I thought, zapping, that it was at its end!! I still must think about the characters who is who. That's off course because they have colors instead of names, which will improve the pan, which cannot go wrong...... Well for one person it does end very well: The one who doesn't tip: Moral of the story for me: Never tip and you'll end rich.
Mama is boos! (1986)
Carpe Diem!!!!!!!
This comedy has a sense of drama in itself. Seeing it many times, you discover a serious note of a couple's divorcing, having children nothing outstanding with the fight between their parents, but are though the victim. When you want to feel the environment and sphere of Holland in the eighties: Go and see it! A lot of actors, playing not significant roles in this movie are nowadays well know good actors in famous soap series in Holland. There are typical one-liners in it, I on day-to-day basis use.
Nice item: The children of the maker of this movies, have got the same names as the children playing in "mom is mad"
Le professionnel (1981)
le croissant, c'est pour mon ami...
Some good old violence, car chasing and the no nonsense guy Josselin Beaumont make this easily to understand movie a typical french product which remind you of the days that they made "good movies". I like the acting of Belmondo, his leather jacket and the sound when he smashes or kicks someone in the face. The plot is worth nothing, but who cares when you're only watching it for the environment and the nonchalance behaviour of Joss.
