Very Well Done
24 September 2004
There are plenty of other plot outlines here, so I'll skip that in favor of a brief Opinion.

This is an excellent movie in general and one of the better Sci-Fi flicks of all time. It has a first rate cast featuring Tom Cruise and a nice mix of top veteran actors and talented up and comers, especially Colin Farrel.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, this is a great illustration of what a superior director and good editing can do for a complicated plot. Very few directors could ever come close to what Spielberg achieves here. He manages to keep a demanding movie both coherent and expertly paced.

It is based on a Philip K.Dick short story (Blade Runner was also based on his work) that provided a great framework for a well done screenplay. The special effects are ambitious and very well done. Speolberg has done a terrific job of melding computer animation with live action, everything looks very realistic in contrast with most movies......Highly recommended!

Stuck on You (2003)

Very funny, yet sweet natured..........

If you liked Something About Mary, then please go and enjoy this fine movie. It's better than some of the reveiws would lead you to believe...It is almost continuously funny with seemingly endless funny lines and puns. This type of premise could be clumsy and mean if handled poorly, but it's always done with a thoughtful, sweetness.

Coyote Ugly (2000)

A Truly Ugly Movie!!!!!!!!!
11 June 2003
What a disappointment! Piper Perabo is adorable, Tyra Banks is beautiful but pitiful as an actor and the talented and beautiful Maria Bello is wasted! Bello must have been embarrassed by some of the lines! The plot, script and premise is a joke!

I'm not against silly movies, I think that Something About Mary is a masterpiece, but Coyote Ugly is a waste of 90 minutes........

Saint Sinner (2002 TV Movie)

"Saint Stinker" would be a better title....

What a disappointment! A weak, illogical plot loaded with cliches. There is so much psycho-sexual territory to be mined in exploring the mythology of Incubi, but this stinker does nothing more than throw in the towel. Clive Barker has done some good original stuff, but not here, not now.

The Bravados (1958)

A Very Good, Somewhat Forgotten Western........
31 July 2002
I stumbled across this movie recently when it aired on AMC and was pleasantly surprised. Gregory Peck is excellent, as usual, in a role where the character is a bit mean and hard-hearted at times but probably realistic for the Old West.

The supporting cast is excellent including veterans like Stephen Boyd, Lee Van Cleef, Henry Silva, Albert Salmi and a very beautiful and young Joan Collins.

A good story line with some neat twists and above average cinematography including some well-filmed nightime scenes and of course breathtaking scenery. Highly recommended.

Snatch (2000)

A Brilliant And Entertaining Movie........
17 July 2002
Snatch is a must see, one of the best movies of the last decade. Takes the concept of Pulp Fiction (interlocking plots & fascinating characters) and blends into a movie that is incredibly clever and funny on a sophisticated level.

The director does a masterful job of casting a diverse group of actors including Brad Pitt, Benecio del Toro and Dennis Farina along with unknown (at least in the US) British character actors.

Great editing, cinematography and soundtrack too......
