Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Sunk Cost Fallacy (2018)
Benson's holier than thou!
Benson's hypocrisy and self righteousness is infuriating! Whenever it suits her needs she breaks the law but when it doesn't she has to be the law abiding cop! We've literally seen her lie and break the law, note the episode where Lauren Conrad played a woman who was raped and got pregnant and decided to escape her rapist so he would never see his child again, and she had no problem letting her escape but then there are other episodes like this one where she just HAS TO tell the truth because otherwise you're a criminal! Ugh it is so annoying. So if it has to do with rape then she'll bend backwards to save the victim but when it's an abused woman and child then she has to be law abiding. And what happened? The woman died! I'm so sick of this character's back and forth crap with being law abiding whenever it suits her. Why can't she just be consistent for christ's sake! Benson's holier than thou attitude can really be completely infuriating! Please stop writing her character like that!! Out of all the characters she's the one I cannot stand at times.
Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021)
Very impressed
I've been a fan of Law & Order SVU for years and I like many others always liked Stabler so to see him come back with his own show I was surely intrigued but at the same time apprehensive, I mean how many shows can Wolf make that are good (I don't watch any of the other L&O shows) but man I am all in for this series! It's more like watching a thriller movie or something since the suspense is so great and each episode leaves you with a fast beating heart wondering what's going to happen next! It's way more exciting than L&O SVU has gotten and I enjoy it more to be honest, maybe it's because they're changing out the main characters of that show so often now (understandably since it's been going on for so long) or whatever, I still enjoy it but this show has got me hooked! I really hope they continue on this same route and don't take a drastic turn that'll turn it boring or repetitive. I thought that the main villain in the first season would be the main villain overall but you can't of course have the same guy as the villain in the whole show when it comes to these sort of TV shows, that wouldn't even make sense when it's a cop show, it just feels more like I'm watching a long movie so I forget sometimes that I'm watching L&O, but I am even more impressed with season 2 than I was with season 1, as good as that one was though! I can't wait to see what they decide to do with the series and please please don't cancel it!! I would also love to see more crossover with SVU as we all love that.
The Bachelor: Episode #24.8 (2020)
Ugh!
Honestly, W.T.F!! Why the hell is he keeping Victoria on?? seriously that GIRL, definitely not woman since she behaves like a spoiled 16 year old, is unbelievable!! What the hell is attracting Peter to that woman besides her looks??! She is OVERLY dramatic, emotionally manipulating, childish, unreasonable and so god damn annoying! I couldn't believe how she behaved in this episode! She was already my least favorite person out of the bunch (and there are some real annoying and awful characters in this season) but the way she handles confrontation is seriously like watching a whiny hormonal teenage girl solve her problems by crying, shifting blame, walking away and just responding like a freaking bi***!! I know that reality TV is very much scripted and all that but the fact that he chooses to keep that girl on is beyond me. I figure it's because he made his decision weeks ago and they just tell him to keep the ones the create the most drama on so the show stays interesting. Victoria and Kelsey or whatever her name is annoy TF out of me with their constant god damn crying!! Why are American women always crying??!! Everything is so dramatic for them, they're so over the top it's literally hilarious.
Are You the One?: Love by the Numbers (2017)
Brainless
I don't know what it is that keeps bringing me back to watching this garbage brainless TV but I guess it's my guilty pleasure. But I would NEVER be able to be in a show like that, like ever! I'd go freaking crazy! These people are whining that they're not winning the game and people should be making connections but as soon as that happens either a guy or a girl (mostly girls) go crazy because they've already claimed that person, so how the F are people supposed to connect when half of the house is off limits but still supposed to do everything to win? It's like WTF these people are so stupid and desperate, falling in love within the first few days like teenagers and creating drama like teens do, and these are supposed to be grown ups!
Every season we see the same thing, which is on par for the game of course. They need the drama to keep the show interesting since people watch it for the drama right? I would actually once like to see a season with level headed and rational people but I guess that's not an option when it comes to Americans! They're so over the top dramatic it's hilarious!
I gotta say though, Clinton looks like such an amazing man! I don't know if it's for show or not since these "reality" TV shows are like 85% or more scripted and having them drink alcohol every night is definitely not a coincident, but seeing a man that is that handsome but also a genuine and honest guy is pretty refreshing. He did deserve someone better than that Nu whatever the hell her name is since she obviously couldn't for one second trust him.
But we watch this for the drama and fights and that is not about to change when it comes to these shows! And for some reason it works since obviously we all come back for more!
I'm not an American but I am however getting married to one and moving over there and if this is how Americans are then I'm pretty freaking nervous to be going into that 'cause where I'm from, which is Iceland, we do not act that over the freaking top!
Are You the One?: Breaking Point (2015)
Ugh
The third season and I can honestly say these people's season are the most selfish and idiotic assho**s I've ever witnessed! I'm literally hoping that they loose this game because they've been playing it so stupidly and ONLY thinking about their own selfish needs! God they all piss me off so freaking much and especially the whiny stupid Kiki! Man these people are so freaking stupid, hypocritical and selfish I'm praying they don't win the money!!!
American Murder: The Family Next Door (2020)
Hard to rate something like this
How do you rate a real life story as horrible and tragic as this one? I don't know. I honestly don't know how I feel about this documentary! It's barely been 2 years since this awful thing happened and already they've made a doc about it! I mean I guess they got Shanann's family's approval but all I think this does is draw more sick and twisted women into sending this psychopath more letters, since that's of course already happening, some women are just that fu***ing sick! But how do you rate something like this? Of course I've already watched videos and documentaries about this on YT so I know every aspect of this story but I still kinda wanted to see how they'd do it on Netflix since they often do documentaries fairly good. This one though hits you right in the freaking gut! What this sorry excuse for a human did is unthinkable, unimaginable and something you really only hope to see in movies, not real life!!! The whole world knows about this case I would think, I live in Iceland and I heard about it so I don't really understand the need for a documentary on Netflix. To me it's just giving this piece of s**t more attention than he ever deserves. This is someone who should not be put to death, this man should suffer for the rest of his life in a cage, but sadly he won't, even if he'll be in prison for the rest of his life, which I'm really hoping he will, he still gets meals done for him, he gets letters from sick women, he gets to breath the air we breath when he should be rotting in solitary for the rest of his miserable life. I hadn't watched 10 minutes of this doc when I already had tears in my eyes seeing that woman and those babies and knowing what he did to them, so so brutal it can't even be put into words how he killed his daughters!!! And hearing Shanann saying "he's the best thing that's ever happened to me" and hearing her family say nice things to him at their wedding, I mean wow! How is this possible? how can you seemingly love someone for this long, love your kids and seem from all perspective as a normal and good guy and then go and brutally and senselessly slaughter your entire family FOR NO GOD DAMN reason other than he wanted a new life with his homewrecking mistress!??!?????? Have people not heard about this thing called DIVORCE!? Would that have been to much of a hassle for him? I'll never understand this, of course since I'm a sane human with empathy while he's a narcissistic self serving psychopath. This is a good documentary, I will say that but you can get basically all this info from varies YT videos so choose for yourself.
Rest in peace beautiful family, the unborn Nico included! My heart breaks for them and for their family.
I Am a Killer (2018)
Very hard to watch
To me those inmates aren't all just sociopathic monsters, are some them obviously evil? sure, some are. But all of them? No! Some monsters are made not born and it's very hard to watch this both because of the victims that were killed and their family's aftermath, destroyed forever, and also because some of these men had been tortured their entire life by other disgusting monsters and that made them into what hey became. Do I think many of these crimes could've been prevented? Definitely!! Do I think all of them deserve to be put to death? NO! First of all, I am wholeheartedly against the death penalty, and it's stupid when people hear me say that they always respond to "would you feel the same way if your family member was killed?" How can I answer something like that? That's an irrelevant question. The death penalty is nothing more than government sanctioned murder! You're killing the person because she broke the law and killed someone!? How does that even make sense? When is the eye for an eye gonna become some old and forgotten barbaric method of punishment? Who does it help to kill the person? It's not gonna take the victims family's pain away, their loved one is still gone and the only thing that has been done is destroyed another person's family who for the most part are innocent victims themselves! And I'm not talking about the disgusting abusive monsters some of these men had as families! Should some of them stay in prison for the rest of their lives? yeah some of them should, but definitely not all of them! Some of them should get a second chance at life to do better and even some of the victim's families agree. Especially the ones that had been abused their entire life. Nobody should have the power to say if someone lives or dies except God. not some man in a robe or a handful of strangers!!! You're punishing someone for taking a loved one away from a family by taking another loved one away from their family, how is that justice??? Murder is not the answer, murder is not justice, it's revenge and nothing else and this method of punishment should've never been reintroduced in America or wherever else it's allowed!! What's ironic is that some states allow a death sentence but they don't allow sick people to die if they so choose! My country doesn't allow assisted suicide and I will always be against that as well! There are just so many faults in every country's system and I know the only reason so many states in America still allow this is because of overcrowding, but then they make the person wait 20-30 years on death row? I just don't get this sort of justice and I'll never be alright with it, no matter the crime. A life behind bars is a way worse punishment in my eyes anyway!! That is the real suffering, having to wake up every day knowing you'll never escape this life you're living, you're living with the regrets of your decision for the rest of your life, I'm sure many inmates would rather just die.
But this is a well made documentary and gives you an insight from every angle, the perpetrator's, his family and the victims family and it's done in a respectful way. It's still very hard to watch and I've shed a few tears watching some of these episodes, it's very hard to watch so many lives ruined when a lot of it could have been prevented had these men not had such horrible abusive family members! Not everyone who gets abused ends up killing someone, I know that, but there's no telling what each abuse does to the person's mind, we can't be the judge of that. I grew up with a mother and father who were alcoholics and even though they're both very good people and me and my brother's were never abused expect maybe mentally because of what we had to witness, just growing up in that environment as a child does some fucked up things to your head, of course we all went on to abusing drugs ourselves and now I'm in my thirties and I'm still dealing with what I took with me into my adult life, anxiety, codependency, an addiction disease, although I've been sober for over 3 and a half years, low self esteem and other problems. And my brother's have their problems as well and this is all even though we had a very loving family who were just cursed with this disease, I can't even imagine what abuse would've done to our psyche!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Part 33 (2019)
What the hell was this?
All that BS for over 40 minutes and then we don't even get to see if she gets convicted or not? This was a horrible episode with no conclusion!!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Dare (2018)
Benson's double standards. If it concerns a woman being raped than it is OK to break the law
How selfish could those parents be, especially the mother that obviosuly doesn't give a crap about that boy dying in Buffalo as long as her principals stay clear!? If my daughter were dead I would never say no to giving her organs to dying children!!! Olivia could've let the helicopter go so the boy would survive but no her self righteous arrogant demeanor didn't let her even though she's broken the law before herself!! Does anybody remember the episode where a news reporter was raped by her cameraman and got pregnant and she ran away so the man couldn't have visitation with the baby and Olivia LET HER GO!! So she can decide which law is OK to break and which one isn't!?! She's an asshole!! and a hypocrite! and charging the doctor was morally wrong! She was saving lives and listening to selfish and ignorant parents who don't wanna save other children and instead let perfectly good organs rot in the ground or burn them!!! I understand that losing a child is the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone and I can't even imagine the pain of loosing my daughter but if I were in the position of saving other children's lives when mine is already gone I'd never say no, it's just a very selfish and cruel act and I'm furious that the doctor is indicted at the end, she didn't deserve that. She wasn't doing this for malicious reasons, she was trying to save lives without having to deal with grieving parents. It's not like anyone was hurt by doing this and if the parents hadn't gone in for that plot armored ring they would've been none the wiser and other children would have a chance. I'm not saying it's right to harvest organs without asking, I'm just saying that to me it's more right than wrong when there are other lives at stake and the person who's organs are taken is already dead and won't be needing them, they'll just be going to waste while people wait years for an organ, and many don't survive that wait!! To me that is more important than some parent who'd rather want their child's organ to rot in the ground. I'd want my daughters organs to live on in some other child and therefore save it!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Selfish (2009)
Sometimes I don't understand this show
The character Duff is playing actually got off scot free after lying to the police, sending them out on a wild goose chase, stealing a credit card and blaming the owner of stealing her kid, not reporting her child dead and then burying her and all she gets is a slap on the wrist while they charge the other mother who didn't vaccinate her child with murder!? While Duff's character didn't ALSO vaccinate her daughter! So she's the reason she did, not some other mother!! What the fu**!?? I'm stunned by this bull
I think anti vaxxers are the most ignorant idiots this world has and in my opinion parents shouldn't be able to chose whether or not their child gets these vaccines since those morons are the reason we still have these diseases but this episode just pissed me off.
Chicago Fire: Light Things Up (2020)
Oh common! This is just way too much!
Yeah this episode really pissed me off! They actually made those "protesters" out to be good guys just because they're not happy with a decision a politician made and take it out on the people off Chicago by preventing firefighters and EMT's from saving lives!! And you even see that one of those protesters is just doing it because he didn't get excepted into this job!! And yet they end the episode by helping the men that made sure innocent people didn't get help!!?!? Like they're heroes for obstructing justice?! I would like to think that if this happened in real life they'd all be cut down and arrested immediately!!! They would never go with that crap just because "They're family men who have kids blah blah who gives a sh$&"!! No way would they just let civilians hang around the firehouse 'cause they don't want bad press!! For Christ sake!! A peaceful protest would be people standing outside the firehouse or better yet the place of the people THAT ACTUALLY CLOSED DOWN THAT OTHER FIREHOUSE!! What they did in this episode is nowhere near a "peaceful protest" and I'm extremely pissed off that they did nothing, the police did nothing and they just let it slide because that one man has kids and he was injured while chained to the trucks!! Just stop, please stop with this bull! These people should ALL have gotten a obstruction charge and especially the man that was chained to the truck!!!
Chicago Fire (2012)
It's an OK TV show that pleasantly kills off 42 minutes.
It's drama, it's Wolf's usual drama show and if you don't like that then don't watch. I'm seeing reviewers here complaining about it not being real enough and all that crap, well it's a TV show!! It's never gonna be completely real! That doesn't mean it's an "insult" to firefighters and EMT's like I've seen many say. See it for what it is, a freaking TV show, not a documentary and stop whining about it not being more realistic. I read that most of the time they use real fire in the show and that shows dedication from the cast and they get training in that environment. Is it a perfect show? Hell no, there are tons of things that piss me off and make me cringe so hard it's hard to watch but I still watch it for the entertainment value. What does sometimes bother me is the sappiness of it all, it gets so emotional where the characters are all so empathetic that they go above and beyond the call of duty and keep helping people after they've put out the fire or whatever, very many episodes like that and sometimes it's very cringy. They even put their jobs on the line for stuff like that and to me that isn't very realistic. Some of the characters piss me off and I wasn't sad to see Dawson go, she was just the worst type of narcissist and I'm glad she's gone! It's getting really annoying that "will they won't they" plot between Casey and Brett, either get them together or don't! Just stop dancing around it, it's tiresome. I once read a review here that talked about Kidd's same stupid facial expression in every god damn scene and after that I couldn't stop noticing it and oh my god can the directors please tell her to stop using that upside down smile in every freaking scene she's in!!! Some people here are saying that they're all too beautiful to be like "real" firefighters and EMT's and that just sound very stupid and idiotic. It sounds like someone's jealous of their looks. It's not a thing that firefighters are all rough and ugly! They're very hot here in Iceland for example! plus not even half of the show's cast is attractive so I have no idea where that's coming from. I do agree that they should show it a bit more professional like with Brett who always has her hair down and in her face while she's working, they're always made up perfectly with their hair and make up, not like they've been on 12 hour shifts or whatever so there's that. Like I said, a lot of things that are wrong with the show but I still watch it and I still like it. I do like Chicago Med better most of the time though, and I don't watch Chicago PD. I tried it once for a couple of episodes but the main character Hank is just something I could never tolerate listening to season after season, he's an awful actor with an awful voice and facial expression along with Sophia Bush so there's no way I'm watching that crap!
But Chicago fire is something I keep on watching just because it's fine entertainment. A little soapy yes, I will agree to that but tolerable.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)
Spot on Zac!
People reviewing this movie seem to be angry and upset that the movie focuses on Bundy's trial and relationship with Liz instead of showing us the brutal murders or his evolution as a psychopath and these people don't understand the concept of the movie I think. This wasn't supposed to show all the gory details, it was supposed to show Liz's dealings with all of Bundy's evilness and how manipulative he really was, it was supposed to show us why some may have believed his innocence, 'cause he was that "good". Instead of showing us a horrific movie where Bundy's victims are used for some sort of shock factor they show us Ted Bundy the person that fooled a lot of people, managed to escape twice yet he got captured both times in a short period of time, which also shows his arrogance and that he was unable to control his urges. He had to kill again and again which ultimately got him captured again. I think this movie is supposed to show us the nature of the beast and his unwillingness to stop even if just to keep him hidden. I enjoyed the movie and it's premise and Zac Efron did an amazing job portraying Ted Bundy! There were moments where I felt like I was actually watching a clip of Bundy! It's a different role than what we're used to seeing Zac do and here he could really display his acting chops and it was great! I think this movie was also supposed to show us that serial killers even ones as depraved as Bundy look and act like normal people, they don't have horns on their heads and black eyes! Monsters live among us and are as charming and "normal" as they made him come across in this movie. Lily Collins also did a fantastic job at showing us Liz's descent into depression, alcoholism and all that came with being in her shoes. But as much as I don't really like that we're glorifying serial killers with all these movies and documentaries, I understand the fascination. People love to watch evil on screen. Serial killers will always be "good TV".
Orphan Black (2013)
Once in a blue moon
This kind of show and performance is something you rarely see. I love this show, it's original and IMO it's good all the way through! Some weren't as satisfied with season 4 and 5 but I couldn't disagree more! I love all the season equally. It's just amazing TV! Everything from the writing to the acting and that is something that you cannot go without mentioning!! I have never seen such a performance from one actress! What Tatiana does is unbelievable and probably something a lot of A list actors could never do, the way she portrays all of those characters is something so special it's kinda hard to put into words. You actually feel like you're watching a different actress when every character she plays comes on, it's just magic! Every one of them has their own personality, voice, movements, accents and just god damn everything! I'm floored watching each episode and it's down right shameful that she didn't get more recognized than one freakin' Emmy Award! what the hell is that!?? She deserved far more for the time and work she put into all of these roles! Tatiana is extremely talented and you don't see a talent like this that often when you think about it. I gotta say my favorite Tatiana character she plays is without a doubt Alison, I love every scene she and her husband are in, it gives the perfect amount of comic relief that you need along side Felix. But besides her genius all of the other characters I love as well, Jordan playing her brother is pure gold, he's amazing and the chemistry between those two is undeniable. Those two were just perfectly cast, the same goes for the other characters as well. This is a show I couldn't stop watching when I saw it for the first time and I've watched it again after that, it's that good. You can go into nit picking if you want to but when I'm watching something that is so obviously meant to be "not the real world" I don't look at the show with judging eyes thinking "Something like this could never happen" or whatever, I just enjoy every bit of what these talented people are giving us. I was kinda sad there were only 5 seasons but at the same time there are so many TV shows that start going downhill because they're overstretching a story that's pretty much done so I think they made the right choice in ending it when they did, even though I would've been more than willing to watch more of it, also probably because the show was so much work for Tatiana and everybody else having to film the same scenes over and over again with all of her characters so I totally get them wanting to end it. Of course it has it's faults I guess like every other show but to me it's not even worth mentioning like I said with the nit picking. It's just a show that I truly think is very underrated and absolutely amazing.
One Tree Hill: How a Resurrection Really Feels (2005)
Who the hell is writing the synopsis for the episodes??
I've been reading through them while watching the show and it's like a 5 year old wrote them!! plus it doesn't make any sense at all! They're not even saying the right things about what's happening on the show for Christ sake! I just had to write this, it has nothing to do with the show really but it's gotten so annoying!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Maternal Instincts (2015)
Why the hell is Rollins even a detective!?
I love SVU but every episode with Rollins's sister makes me so mad I'm literally screaming at the screen! and Rollins is such a pushover when it comes to Kim it's ridiculous, and she's supposed to be a good detective? Yet she is easier fooled than a 5 year old! and she does nothing throughout the episode to defend herself and respond when both her mother and Kim treat her unfairly and horribly, has she completely forgotten what Kim did to her the last time she was in town? and she says nothing when Kim lashes at her for getting her arrested nor her mother too? COMMON! and how come Rollins gets endless chances with her boss when she's clearly breaking the law!?? She let a fugitive go, she lied to Benson but she faces no repercussions at all for all of that? let's not even talk about the episode with the whole gambling situation, and she even acts like it's no big deal and they shouldn't be getting all worked up about it!? Wow... Rollins has shown again and again that she's not a solid detective and when she gets going she lies and doesn't listen to anything her squad tells her, like with the episode where her sister framed her for murder... I've watched this before of course since it's an old episode but I just watched it again tonight and I was so furious about the whole thing I had to write a review. If I were in that situation, sibling or not, I'd lose my god damn mind if my sister after everything she did had the nerve to call me out on getting her in trouble!! Her sister is clearly a sociopath but she still keeps defending her like she's a child that's just being defiant!
From the start, I've never liked Amanda's character.
Man do I miss the old SVU gang! Stabler had his flaws but he wasn't a batting my eyelashes while speaking with my Atlanta accent idiot!
Riverdale (2017)
Either the writers are on crack or they're a bunch of 10 year olds!
The rating I'm giving is based of season 2 and 3 but mostly season 3!
Where to even start! What the hell happened? they had a good premise and the first season showed actual promise, yes it looked to be a teen drama with a flair of mystery but I liked it, then season 2 comes around and it starts going down hill from there! it's all over the place and you're not really sure who you're supposed to root for anymore AND THEN that horrible awful mess season 3!! Dear God! I have so much to say yet I can't put into words what a colossal joke that season is, more and more we're seeing stupid decision made be these idiot characters and eventually you really start to hate them all! I'd be fine with any one of them getting killed off since I couldn't care less about them! Kids acting like adults, adults acting like immature morons, an ex-con criminal get's to be sheriff and everybody being controlled by a freaking game, and those are not nearly all the plot points happening all at once! There's so much happening I have no idea who's doing what. I actually get nauseous each time I watch this show now which is why I don't really anymore, I've just invested so much of my life to not knowing how the heck they plan to continue this train wreck! all the while I'm thinking what in Gods name are the writers doing!? what are they thinking? where is this god damn show even going? nothing about it is believable anymore and you don't give a crap about the characters because they are so stupid and idiotic it's beyond comprehension. Absolutely nothing appealing about this show anymore, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING IT! Check out the first season if you haven't and then stop!
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017)
Horribly, horribly boring and annoying!
I have never written a review before but I found myself compelled to say something! I just don't understand why this show is getting so many good reviews, maybe it's because I haven't read the books or seen the movie I just don't get it. This show is so boring, I was intrigued at first and thought that it could go in a fun direction but it's just the same episode over and over again but in different locations! And the characters are so stupid and annoying!! Nobody sees through Olaf's disguises except the children even though it's abundantly clear it's him! and the children say next to nothing to defend themselves and just let everyone walk all over them again and again! There are so many times they could've stopped the whole thing by just saying the right things but then I guess the show would be over so yeah.. there's that. I find myself yelling at the screen because of the stupidity! Maybe this is the point of the show and I just don't know it because I don't know the origin of it, but still. I was actually just finishing season 2 because I've invested to much of my life into it, to not finish. I will admit, it's not all bad, some of it is OK and fun to watch and yes season 2 did end on a cliffhanger and I actually wanted to see more, but there are just so many times I get too frustrated.
Maybe I just don't have the patience for this kind of stupidity and don't understand the saga. This show is definitely something someone will enjoy like the other reviews will indicate, I won't tell you not to watch it, I think you will have to judge for yourself. Also every episode is too god damn long, most of it is just pure filler.
Probably the only thing I like about the show is Sunny, she is just too cute with her little face!
EDIT 7.jan 2019
The last season isn't any better, trust me. I'm left with more questions unanswered than when the series started ...
