The Locksmiths (2022)
Hysterical Independent Comedy!
This is the perfect movie for all the fans of independent filmmaking and classic comedies. Billy Smith and his cult of followers stumble through a chaotic lifestyle that always ends in laughs. I'm thoroughly impressed by the director Sean Stanley's unique style and creative vision that always keeps you engaged in the film and laughing hysterically. This screenwriting team, Sean Stanley & David Lahti, has a real knack for crafting hilarious and memorable comedies. Their ability to create relatable and lovable characters, witty dialogue, and clever plot twists is truly impressive. They have a talent for finding the humour in everyday situations and infusing it with a unique perspective that keeps audiences laughing from start to finish. Their writing is always fresh, original, and perfectly timed, making for films that are both entertaining and genuinely funny. It's no wonder that their films consistently receive critical acclaim and have become beloved classics in the comedy genre.
Sheepshit (2008)
Young Talent From London Ontario Canada
I saw this film at a small screening in downtown London Ontario. There was only about a hundred people in the audience but the amount of enthusiasm they had for the film and its director/writer, Sean Stanley, was extraordinary. After the screening I talked to Sean Stanley, an upbeat and very proud man, as well as his Producer, Mark Potter, who is definitely the suit in this duo that is Rakehellrow Productions. There's a couple DVD's available from Rakehellrow, one being that of "Sheepshit" and the other being a compilation of shorts and skits that the London Ontario Canada based production company has produced over the past four years.
Minority Report (2002)
A collage of a big names, big budget, and big failure
This movie has stripped away whatever faith in the Hollywood movie that I ever had. I would have loved to sit in a screening with Steven Spielberg so he could hear my bursts of laughter at the outrageous script that he filmed. I had more enjoyment sitting on my couch at home watching the preview. How the crew dealt with going to work and pretending not to be part of an obvious mess of a movie, I will never know. Spielberg wielded his camera around beautifully as usual but I belive that his storytelling is fading. As in Artificial Intelligence he has lost all ability to focus on an ending--This movie should have been over twenty minutes earlier. The crowd was yawning and stretching as if they were watching a subtitled version.
I'm disgusted to see how many people fall to the feet of Spielberg because of his past heroics. He is a mortal like the rest of us people. He has made a mistake, partially in casting, mainly in story development. He needs a new engine, or a new pit crew, because he's lost his cool and he's going to lose the race.
IGNORE ALL OTHER COMMENTS. THIS MOVIE IS FOR CHILDREN 15 & UNDER
I welcome any comments .
