Food for thought
12 September 2023
A outstanding documentary on the subject of slavery and racism; it has allowed me to access a more profund understanding of how the system works (or to quote Roger Waters: The powers that be).

There are several key points that the documentary in question has covered quite well:

i. The influence of big business on state policy; ii. Capitalism and it's dehumanizing impat upon the human condition; iii. The way in which certain ways of thinking are propagated through policy from one generation to the other (until we reach the present where the same issues survive.. they're just coated better in fancy words); iv. Last but, not least, the method employed by some of our fellow humans in order to paint others in a dark shade (so to speak); in order to vilify them in the eyes of the people who lack critical thinking.

I sincerely hope that this documentary serves it's purpose: to make us more sensitive to the pain and suffering that has befallen some our brothers and sisters and for us to come to their aid in one form or another.

Quite a powerful message

A movie designed to wake up the audience from the hypnotic trance and hopefully make them more aware of the human being next to them.

Many topics are covered including war, education, entertainment, love, child development and so on.

On love, we always seem to miss each others cues and fail to see when the people close to us are in trouble.. therefore we fail to act until it's too late.

Child development is also neglected, we focus so much on enlarging the ability to interpret symbols in children; completely missing the crucial aspect of teaching children to how to feel and be present. (thus creating absent minded and absent hearted adults)
