Unfortunately this show includes Jason Alexander
6 January 2024
I know Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander are both extreme leftists but Jason is the only actor who absolutely personified the quintessential nut job New Yorker if that makes sense. It's funny that Michael and Jerry turned out to be the least looney of the bunch. George as a character and Jason as an actor are both extremely annoying. Everyone knows the main reason to watch the show back in the day was for Jerry and Michael. Elaine was clearly an afterthought and George was an unnecessary caricature of Larry David. I HATE George and I HATE Jason. They're both very face punch worthy. Anyone else agree?

Ahsoka: Part Five: Shadow Warrior (2023)
Season 1, Episode 5

One of the best scenes ever in SW
17 September 2023
I never watched Rebels or Clone Wars and I couldn't stand Attack of the Clones or Revenge of the Sith because of all the CGI so I'm having a hard time following Ashoka, Ezra, Sabine, etc. I'm not really a cartoon guy so cartoon Yoda was the proverbial "jumping the shark" for me. I also can't bring myself to give this show an overall score higher than 3 because it's SO BORING.

However, the fight scenes with Hayden were amazing. Not from a choreography standpoint because Maul vs. Kenobi and Qui Gon still takes the cake for me, but from a storytelling perspective.

If Disney knew what they were doing, this episode could be the proverbial "growing the beard" moment. I don't understand how in probably a total of four episodes across Kenobi, Ashoka, Boba, and Mando, we can get about a full hour of content that puts the entire sequel trilogy to complete shame.

This really goes to show you Disney CAN do better but they simply choose not to. It's a very sad state of affairs. The worst part is, kids are going to grow up on this new "Star Wars" with fond memories just because that's how kids are. Hollywood is just terrible these days. I'm sorry, George. We still love you.

RIP Star Wars: 1977-2012.

Not impressed
29 June 2023
I like Adam Driver, sci-fi, and dinosaurs but this sucks. I was praying for it to end and when it did, I had more questions than when it began. God it was just so bad. One of those cases where you'll enjoy the trailer more than the movie.

...

I guess I have to type 300 more characters. There's nothing else to say about this movie. His crash landing made no sense, the lost girl made no sense, the re-launch made no sense, his injuries made no sense, his weapons looked so damn fake, and the dinosaurs from JP 30 years ago put this movie's CGI to shame. You will walk away from this movie very disappointed.

Sam Sucks
27 June 2023
I 100% do NOT trust Sam. Whether it's him as a character or the actor who portrays him, I've known people who act like him and they absolutely should not be given a single ounce of anyone's faith. That character or actor (haven't decided yet) has such an extremely fake personality that it's unbearable to watch. That stupid smile and that ridiculous high top accompanied with that "bubbly" personality should make ANYONE feel uncomfortable. If you know anyone who acts like this, abandon them immediately. They will only disappoint and betray you.

If he was not in every single damn episode, this show would've gotten a 10 from me. It's not the most exciting, action packed, or best written show, but it is entertaining. Jason Sudeikas is great in this show.

Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023)

Started off with an interesting concept
16 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
...but...this is not the Star Trek we've grown to love over the last 55 years. It has interesting characters that we quickly hate after a few episodes. This show goes nowhere fast and is laced with more than acceptable profanity. I grew very bored very quickly. It's almost like the premise of 10 years of the walking dead packed into 1 season: lots of build up with no clear vision of a conclusion. Aka, an entire season of the final episode of Game of Thrones. I'm glad many of our favorite Star Trek actors turned down the "opportunity" to be in this crap fest. Finally, what a way to beat a dead horse (Captain Picard).

Terrible, just terrible
24 March 2022
Babylon 5 was not Star Trek. Battlestar Galactica was not Star Wars. Jason Bourne was not James Bond. They were close but didn't try to directly replicate their predecessors. They all turned out GREAT! This is just another Hollywood cash grab that falls flat on its face. It's NOT Halo.

Decent action movie ruined by unnecessary subplot
22 January 2022
As others have mentioned, the strange subplot of Common dating Chastain's sister is odd and a boring distraction. Common is a terrible actor and a terrible person in general. I hated him in Hell on Wheels and I hated him even more after he went woke. Jessica Chastain, Gina Davis, Colin Farrell, and John Malkovich all get limited screen time because of the stupid love triangle plot.

Not as bad as everyone says
13 January 2021
Rarely is a sequel better than the original but this movie honestly wasn't as bad as the majority of reviewers claim. It's basically what you'd expect from a sequel to Waiting... I didn't even know the movie existed until today so I figured I'd give it a try. Compared to a movie like Neighbors 2, you'd think this movie was directed by Spielberg.

Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Season 8, Episode 3

So many unanswered questions
29 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
You can really tell that the show has deviated extremely from the books at this point. For example, Jamie, Brienne, Sam, Greyworm, Sansa, Tyrion, Jon, Bran, Arya, Sandor, Daenerys, (I think Tormund), etc. ALL live. At least half of them should've died. Here are the questions we may NEVER get answers to...

1) what's the purpose of Bran warging into ravens in this episode? 2) what's Bran's purpose as the three eyed raven in general? 3) how did Arya just zip right past all the wights and white walkers? 4) who are the white walkers? 5) what did the night king want? 6) who is the night king? 7) in Martin's theme of stories coming full circle, will there be another night king? 8) what's the purpose of the god's wood and the weirwood trees? 9) is Bran the night king? 10) is Bran Bran the Builder?

Obviously there will be more questions but these are some of the biggest. The huge questions of why the producers decided to destroy the largest threat that's ever existed to humanity like that will also never be answered. The most relevant question though is probably WHY THE HELL ARE THESE EPISODES SO DARK AND BLURRY?!?!?! I get it, the wights bring darkness and snow and clouds blah blah blah but I could barely see anything the entire episode! It seems like this episode was wrapped up like a prematurely cancelled series. I guarantee the next episode two episodes will be just as boring as the first two.

Not as good as the first one
27 April 2019
The first one tried, this one didn't. It's like how first albums are always better than the rest. They really laid the politics on thick in this one too. The Jared Kushner joke was funny...I guess. But the fox and friends joke was just stupid. Abby Huntsman is less offensive than Rachel Madcow, suuuuuure. There was really no story to this movie and the XMen cameos, although funny, are just getting so confusing. Brolin should stick to Marvel and Reynolds should stick to romcoms.

The Grand Tour: The Colombia Special Part 1 (2019)
Season 3, Episode 2

Already tired of the Trump jokes.
27 January 2019
The Clarkson, May, Hammond version of Top Gear began when I was 15. I always lived vicariously through the three as an escape from reality. When I watch The Grand Tour, I don't really want to hear Clarkson's opinions regarding the president of the country of the company which employs him. There are jokes, and then there are insults and "Trailer Trash Trump Truck" is an insult. We Americans are bombarded with insults to our president on a daily basis and we sure a hell don't need it from some overpaid millionaire so-called "journalist".

Not to mention all the staged humor. You can't plan the mishaps, the infighting, the break-downs...they have to come naturally. We have been watching these three together for 17 years and we can see through their BS. This show isn't what Top Gear used to be.

What the hell?
4 January 2019
The second episode in the season is another episode focused on Bortus. The first episode was about his bodily functions and this one is about his weird sexual desires. I don't even know what to say about this strange episode besides it was not good and almost unwatchable. While season 1 was praised as a return to real Star Trek, this season is turning out to be a showcase of MacFarlane's liberal side. Moclans being a genderless species is apparently the only way they can present two males kissing on screen. I don't care one way or the other but it's getting to an obnoxious level. While season 1 dealt with legitimate Star Trekesq topics, this season seems to be only about identity politics. Sad.

Won't be watching without Crawford
7 June 2018
The entire cast is great and the story is fantastic. I can tell Mc G is involved in this from being a Fastlane fan (if anyone remembers that show). I was very very cautious about this show at first from being a fan of the original. Everything seems to be a reboot these days but this show works!

Without Crawford, I won't be watching this show and I'll change my rating to a 1...where the show will be in reality without him.

Eureka (2006–2012)
10/10
one of the biggest wastes of syfy's history
29 May 2014
This may well be one of the greatest shows that has ever graced TV goers pallets. Some of the very best casting and writing out of any TV show to date has gone into this series. For example, take into account the way the writers wrapped up the series with very little notice. Warehouse 13, it's closest competitor, went out on a sad note. But somehow eureka kept minds wondering about the future. Even will Wheaton has hinted at a comeback, even as a gag.

If you're a die hard wh13 addict, such as I, this show will not disappoint. As prior military, you may have to give it an episode or two, but this show is simply amazing. I picked up during a hiatus of wh13 seasons and was slow to catch on, but I was quickly impressed. Collin Ferguson is one of the most diverse actors ever and will draw your attention, and quick. Enough said that he's doing Maytag commercials now. The highlight of his career was most certainly eureka and he deserves much more. I even stayed tune for the entire lake placid 3 just because of him!

Zoe carter turned from one of the most annoying characters ever to one of the most beloved and addored. These are all just examples, mind you, of some of the best writed characters in television history. They even brought back Wesley crusher, aka, will Wheaton! Jaime paglia is a genius, enough said. And his accolades can all be attributed to eureka.

If you're a fan of any star trek franchise, watch eureka. In some aspects, it's essentially the alpha of star trek. Not to be confused with the horrible show, alphas. Not to mention, if you're a wh13 fan, you will settle in nicely and end up being more of a fan of eureka. Partially due to the fantastically hideous end wh13 had in the last few seasons.

Paired with the amazing holiday specials anyone in the family can enjoy, plus the ongoing gags fitted into nearly every episode, eureka has something every member of your family will enjoy. My wife is opposed to sci-fi more the a prisoner to the holocaust but this show snagged her up each episode and she couldn't wait til the next.

Of course syfy (or sci-fi as I remember it as a kid) is way to busy with shows like makeup this or costume that. They've lost touch with their inner child thanks to the comcasts buy out. They've cancelled a show that's worth a million sharkquakes or whatever they have in store next.

I've been watching you since you're original science fiction 3000; why would you torture me with the cancellation of this amazing show?!

Warehouse 13 (2009–2014)
10/10
eureka! but not really...
29 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
A play on words, as they say. Wh13 was an initial hit. The likeness of which cannot be compared to a masterpiece like eureka in the overall aspect. The show was originally spectacular and gave premise to such amazing prospects. When your boss is communist, however, your future is destined for failure.

As the final seasons, second season onward, came to fruition, the show was doomed. That's not even due to the fact that it classified itself as the sister show to eureka. The writing became ghastly and the acting became painful to watch. The show deserves credit though. It had a fantastic outline, it just never fulfilled it's expectations thanks partially to the idiotic side struggles the writers felt necessary to tie in.

If you liked the first few episodes, just go watch eureka and you will be much happier. I was overseas when eureka premiered thus I started wh13 from the beginning. I was far happier watching reruns of eureka as opposed to the garbage wh13 constantly had to offer.

Spoiler alert...

This will save you heartache...

Wh13 was canceled just as eureka was due to it's premise. Myka and Pete kiss and Claudia becomes caretaker of the warehouse. In essence, thats all we get after five seasons. Boring if you ask me.

Hitman (I) (2007)
1/10
HORRIBLE!!! Way to really ruin a franchise!
17 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Look, I'm going to be brutally honest, this is the worst movie I have ever seen. I have been a huge fan of the games since Hit-man: Codename 47 came out for the PC years ago. I don't have any idea how this piece of crap made it past the guys at IOI. When the Hit-man series came out, it had a bit less of a story line than the Trix rabbit but it evolved into a great story, and backstory. Here's my problem...

Movie: Agent 47 is played by Timothy Olyphant who is a horrible actor to begin with. He was actually so bad of an actor, in fact, that the director didn't even try to have him use a British accent. Games: Agent 47 is modelled from and even uses the voice of David Bateson who would have been better for the role in the movie anyway.

Movie: Agent 47, and all of his so called "brothers" were orphans trained by "The Organization" or whatever unoriginal name they called it. Games: Agent 47 and all of his brothers were clones who looked exctly alike (which means no black agents for example, sorry). They were cloned and trained by Dr. Ort-Meyer, some of them escaped, and even fewer went to work for the Agency or the ICA.

Movie: Agent 47 is seen shaving in the bathroom. Games: AGENT 47 DOESN'T NEED TO SHAVE! He was cloned without hair so as not to leave evidence at crime scenes.

Movie: Agent 47 is almost seduced by Nika but eventually develops a soft spot for her. Games: Agent 47 would have first killed her dead rather than to let her whore about on top of him.

Movie: Agent 47 pulls out katana swords from his back pockets that he had supposedly been carrying around with him the entire movie. Games: Agent 47's only weapons are two Hardballers, his fiber wire, and his syringes...never have I seen him conceal ninja swords just in case he runs into a group of people who want to kill him on a train.

I just hate everything about this movie. It could have been great! The games are far too dark for the way they took this movie. They ruined games that had an excellent storyline. Finally, I always said that Michael Fassbender would have been a much better 47 and Paul Verhoeven would have been a much better director.
