Good and inspiring
30 August 2008
This is another film which is good and inspiring and clean for the whole family. We watched and enjoyed it together as a family. The story of making the film is as good as the film itself. Imagine a church getting behind someone trying to make a family film with a message.Great idea fulfilled. The message is clear that we all face giants in our everyday life, and this film shows us how to address those problems in a positive way. I think this film is one which could be used to help show todays kids how to deal with their problems. If used correctly it could be a great teaching tool for todays youth, and their families.

interesting family film,well done
30 August 2008
this was an interesting family film, and for the most part it was well done.It was decent,no bad language,so it was great for all to see. I think it was obvious that it was all males behind the scenes ,perhaps it would have had a better solid feel to it ,if it would have had a woman director?Just a thought. Some of the scenes felt off.As a female athlete who once played football,it seemed somewhat off, but overall the acting was good, and at times very funny. The development of the relationship between the uncle and niece was actually pretty well done.Overall a good sports movie, about looking at what we have and not at what we don't have.

Very Inspiring and heartfelt message

I recently purchased this film online.I was very impressed with this film and am amazed that this did not get released into theaters nationally. It's a real shame. It's on the line of Facing the Giants except i think the acting was much better. I really enjoyed the Christian message of Hope, but they didn't beat you over the head with the Bible. I hope to see more from this director and company in the future. It's an Olympic story and more need to see it.It was a great film to watch with the entire family. It shows those with disabilities in a very tasteful manner. Not only is it inspirational ,it is educational, and you don't ever feel embarrassed by language or scenes. I and my family really were inspired and enjoyed it. We laughed and we cried.

Courageous and educational film
30 August 2008
I recently had purchased another film the Goal by this director, when I heard that this film was to screen at a film festival,so I went to see it. It is definitely a very cinema verte style documentary.Usually i don't care for them, but this does reel you in immediately starting with the directors own nephew presenting for a science project, which I thought was very emotional. The film shows what lengths parents go to in order to help their children.Having watched this ,my heart goes out to the families. How brave to make a film about a family member and work to get it before Congress. There should be some special award for these families. All I know is that it made me write to my member of Congress. It was both courageous and educational, with a message of Hope for these families with Dandy Walker. These families even provided some of their own footage. It was real, and raw. Bravo!
