Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993)
if school choir would have been like this...
Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, is one of those movies that makes you enjoy and relax and moved at the same time..fantastic voices, a nice, and easygoing story and a whoopi goldberg, as charming and funny as ever. i have seen the movie at least 20 times and i never get tired of it. Nice and easy watching for an evening on the couch!
Touch Me (1997)
love lives forever (spoiler!!!)
Well, what can I say, once again I have to say that I admire Michael Vartan, not only because of his looks (well he def is eye candy nevertheless), but more because of his talent to show emotions. When I first saw Touch Me, i was so taken by the way he and Amanda Peet played their parts I had to cry. Whew, doesnt happen often these days. But these to bring a magic on the screen I havent often seen in a couple. And after watching "Never been kissed" and "Alias" I realized that it is mostly due to Vartan that this Magic is alive...whatever...Touch Me is a movie about love, aids and trust. Whoever out there believes in the magic of love and trust...take your time, watch the movie and watch it again. It is a story about 2 people madly in love and almost parted by aids...but as i said in my headline...love lives forever, thats what this movie shows and thats what i believe...so long, stay happy stay alive and love well - Marina
xXx (2002)
The 21st century James Bond
When I saw the trailer of Triple X I knew I had to watch the movie. OK, I admit, it is no intellectual movie, nothing You have to think of, but I do not expect something like this when I go to see an action movie. My bottom line is that Triple X is a very well done action movie, the dialogues may not be very bright, the plot not very realistic, but the actors and the stunts are great. Xander Cage, played by Vin Diesel, is bad and rebellious, nevertheless he deserves the comparison to James Bond. He is funny and he is not stupid. He has charm and he knows how to react in dangerous situations. To sum it up, Triple X is a great action movie, with interesting and good actors, and it is definitely worth a look.
Road to Perdition (2002)
Never saw a better Tom Hanks!
I knew that Tom Hanks was a good actor, which is the main reason I decided to watch the movie. I could not really identify neither with the time the movie was set nor with the topic of it. Inspite of this and because my boyfriend dragged me to I went to the movies to watch it and to my surprise I liked it! Of course, Tom Hanks and Paul Newman were the main factors why I changed my mind, I have never seen a better Tom Hanks in my life. Michael Sullivan alias Tom Hanks moved me deeply. He touched me in a way only a few characters in a movie were able to touch me. The atmosphere of the movie is as unique as its actors. It is melancholic, depressive and nevertheless it is beautiful and very romantic. If you are interested in either Tom Hanks or the theme of the movie I can only recommend it to you. It is worth the time. Sam Mendes is an extremely talented director. He shows us feelings and emotions of people who are thought to be emotionless. We feel with the characters and they touch us in a way, which is unbelievable. Even Michael Sullivan Jr. character, played by Tyler Hoechlin, is very convincing and the young actor does a very good job in this movie. I can only advise you to judge for yourself. Take Your time and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this movie and the genial performance of Tom Hanks!
