Captures a particular Clapton
18 May 2023
Just full disclosure, I saw this in the theatre and everyone was 30 feet tall and awesome.

This concert film captures Clapton in a not so popular period. Maybe they call it his Armani period, I don't know. It seems Clapton is celebrated most from 1966-1977;1994-present. The 80s and early 90s seem to be skipped by most fans.

It was amazing to see Eric in his mid forties playing just 10/10 guitar. Everyone looks super cool, especially Nathan East.

Songs were great with many of the favorites plus some 80s gems that I am just currently beginning to appreciate. The finale was outstanding. I won't say what song he ends on, but you can probably guess. And it's actually the penultimate song, so you probably can't guess.

In short, if you're a Clapton fan, you'll love this concert film. If you're not, we'll why would you watch it anyway?

Fired on Mars (2023– )

I was hoping Mike Judge was involved, but no.
22 April 2023
I've only watched the first two episodes, but so far it involves a not so exciting main character who is in a perpetual loop of failure. It's lazy commentary on corporate life but for some reason it's set on Mars. It's kind of like, "Don't you hate when your boss says this? Well, imagine he said it... on Mars!" The show reminds me of having a roommate who hates his job and that's all he wants to talk about. The good news is, you don't have to listen. You can just watch something else.

I was pretty excited for this show so I'll definitely stick around for the entire season. The animation is solid and there is potential if they ever decide to use it. Hopefully, the show comes around and I delete this review.
