I don't watch sci-fi! So that's a plus

I am not a fan of sci-fi so all the Black Mirror talk means nothing to me; so here is a pure review based solely on SOLOS.

Why did I want to watch this? Morgan Freeman I had no expectations and knew nothing of the plot nor did I know the incredible A list of actors.

The ego vs ID and the "if I knew then what I know now" is emotional to say the least. Perhaps others who did not understand self reflection and personal growth were strictly looking for something with more action rather than an actual experience that I feel certain each of us have had with ourselves. I talk to myself all the time and the fact that some can not grasp the fact that this is basically what happens when you do that on screen without Morgan Freeman narrating.

In each episode I could identify with some portion of the character, especially when I heard Morgan Freeman's voice asking "How far would you go to find yourself again?" I'm not sure my teenage children would care for it as they are not in the retrospective mode of life. I'm also not sure that my nearly 80 year old father would have the patience, as he is the acceptance stage of life.

All in all I recommend watching this more than once. It is complex regardless of others perception. As stated before, I have nothing to compare it to EXCEPT the emotional ups and downs felt are very similar to "After Life" with Ricky Gervais. I'm not sure how one can not find similarities to their own life with any of these stories.

Just watch it with an open mind. Personal spoiler I've never watched Star Wars either. Spaceballs was funny though.
