Cloverfield (2008)
Great film to see at the comfort of your home
I watched this film in anticipation on the first day it was released. I read a warning on the cashier window stating, "This film has caused seizures to a very minimal amount of people. We advise to you, not to see this film if you are easily irritated by rapid movement, continuous flashing colors, etc." I didn't pay much attention to this warning considering I watched a lot of things that has given people seizures. When I arrived, the theater was well maintained and at a cold but comfortable temperature. The movie commenced. The first ten minutes made me groan, mostly due to my anticipation to see what was "Cloverfield" after the ten minutes of wait there it was. The film was extremely shaky that I became nauseated, and the yelling the theater was frustrating. To my misfortune I watched this in IMAX. I was frustrated with the film, that I spoke bad of it. When it came out on DVD, I decided to take a second look at it. I was content! The film seemed less shaky, mostly considering that I was not in front of a screen 4 times the size of my house, the acting was spectacular. Everything seemed consistent except for a couple of things. The talking does go on for sometime making it seem that the directors are just trying to fill in extra time. They do make it up with great action, and CGI.
Another Gay Movie (2006)
Walks along the lines of softcore porn.
This movie to say the least is a softcore gay porn. The theme of the film was well writing, not including the sex scenes, but all in all I enjoyed the script. The reason for the low rating was because all it needed was a POV Camera and this would of been classified as a porn. This would of been along the lines of the porn flick of Pirates if such camera was placed. I am not homophobic in any case but this is not to be shown to any unsuspecting man, for he will just look as if he was really looking at a porn. The acting was OK though, not Oscar winning but still better than most. I do on the other hand recommend it to anyone who really has an open sense of humor, it did make me laugh but I was also caught off guard.
Bibleman (1995)
If this is meant for children, then may God have mercy on their little souls.
This show, to say the least, is cheesy. If you take out the religious theme of the show, you will realize that this show has nothing else to say on any matter. They show improbable scenarios, which even made my TEN year old brother look in confusion. He said, "This does not happen in my school (pauses, and chuckles) these kids are dumb." Some scenarios are even littered with propaganda, now in their offense I should see this coming, seeing that it was on the Christan channel. Also as for stealing the lightsaber idea, that was a low blow, but they did not even try to make that spectacular! He would try to attack but then he would say something along the lines of, "I need more prayer power." Then the kids start praying and he wins. If they actually tried to make in entertaining while still containing the "Word of God" then I would of gave it a higher rating. I rate it a 5/10, but since this is a kid show, for the sake of this post I let my brother vote. :)
