Kings (2009)

Spectacular show

I really enjoy watching this show. It's an odd, but wonderful, mixture of present day modernities and old world thoughts of kings and kingdoms. It's really unlike anything I've ever seen before and you really have to appreciate that kind of originality. I don't know so much about the biblical story behind the show, and I don't much care. I see the show as more of a kind of fantasy, with the historical definitions of kings being "gods" and "chosen by god". I guess what I'm trying to say is, you don't need to be religious to watch it, it's just a really good show whether you are or aren't, just don't expect the show to be fully realistic. I hope to see many more episodes and many more seasons if the show sticks to the quality of these first 3 episodes.

Oh my...

I really didn't expect much before I started watching this movie, and I have to say it really fell below even those poor expectations. The idea of the movie was not a bad one and even the plot was not that bad, but the terrible acting of most everyone in the movie really pushed it over the edge and into the dark abyss where really bad movies go to die. Poor special effects and terrible fighting sequences just kept reinforcing the just overall "terribleness" of the movie. Though after I'd watched this movie I had thought it was the worst movie I'd EVER seen, I couldn't give it 'one star' only because I watched an even worse movie right after it...guess which movie that was? I'll give you a hint, it had the number 2 in it.

After watching the first movie in this installment, I thought to myself "well isn't this the worst movie I've ever seen." So why would I then watch the second movie? I thought it wasn't possible for a movie to get any worse...I was wrong, dead wrong. This has officially become the worst movie, no worst visual media presentation I have ever in my life seen. The acting was even worse than the first movie, the plot senseless. It has become the biggest waste of my life thus far. Seriously, why would you set a vampire movie in the old wild west? WHY? And truly...why make such a weak and pathetic heroine, with no idea as to strategy or how to save lives. This film was so bad, I'm considering recommending it to everyone I know just so I can inflict the pain that I had to suffer onto them. It really is that bad.
