The King's Man (2021)

Good movie for the fans except the ending

This is not a deep movie, but nor the franchise, but although that it has a great scenery, and a great background and we can "photography".

"The King's Man" is a prequel to the "Kingsman" spy action series, taking us back to the origins of the organization during World War I.

Strengths:

Visually Stunning Action Sequences: The film boasts some truly impressive action sequences.

Historical Setting: The World War I backdrop adds a layer of intrigue and realism to the story. The film doesn't shy away from the horrors of the war, and it uses the historical context to explore themes of pacifism, war profiteering, and the manipulative nature of power.

Weaknesses:

Inconsistent tone: The film constantly shifts between being a serious historical drama and a lighthearted spy thriller. This tonal inconsistency can be jarring, and it prevents the film from truly excelling in either genre.

If they have kept the serious tone it probably could become a really great movie.

In this same route, although the music is high quality, it doesn't match that serious tone.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)

The movie was good until one point. From there just a boring movie.

It was a really really nice movie until the action scene, there it become a normal stupid movie. I'm just going to assume the movie ended there.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a meta-comedy film that offers an interesting Nicolas Cage as a fictionalized version of himself.

The film follows Nicolas Cage, who finds himself in a financial crisis and... lets see the rest.

Pedro pascal is so awesome that you might think this is his real personality, i really wish to spend an evening with this pair.

The actors really embrace the satirical nature of the story, delivering a comedic and self-deprecating portrayal It is mentioned to explore the complex relationship between an actor and their public image, the pressures of fame, and the sacrifices made in the pursuit of success.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)

cliche, they didn't learn nothing from the first one

I realy enjoyed the first Shazam. Original jokes, nice acting, intermediate age humor, hey it was refreshing

But now come this version, full of the most boring cliches, just a typical super hero movie, all the shazam team idea was just poorly used, common jokes, and all the typical punches.

Why do they get a fast and furious writer for this? Don't they see how poor in jokes are those movies affter the 3rd one? Why do they keep hiring this guy?

I dont know why hollywood keeps doing and redoing the idea of getting Greek gods and greek fantastic creatures back, come in, those are mostly children tales, didnt they saw how bad were those percy jackson movies?

FX is good, and kudos for them. The script is childish and is really below the average of today's super hero movies.

Also, did I mention how boring this is?

The way they tried to force romance and the whole cute 3 millennia girl getting deciding to live as a teenager is just silly. Many things wrong in this movie. Take it to a really low place in your priorities.

Unicorn: Warriors Eternal (2023– )

The animation and backgrounds are beautiful

This is the type of show were you always want to gave a look at the background, it is so beautiful and full of details. Probably for those that just want a full of action toon this is not for you, this one for those that enjoy Easter eggs here and there. You can see that definitely they want to merge old style and modern animation and i love it!! The outcome is artistically really nice. The character development is kind of slow and not much have happened there until the 3rd episode where i'm now. FInally there are really funny 1 second moments i hope they keep these. The adult and child them is every where so it is a series for all.

S1m0ne (2002)

This movie is getting more interest after the years

If we analyze the role of this movie under today's influencers power and upcoming AI changes, we can be seeing a movie that was many years into the future. This one is aging really good.

Today's influencers are these empty shells that amass millions of followers and views but no one really know what or who is behind them, everything can be faked, can be simulated and is there only for the screen. I really recommend this movie as an exercise of futurism around marketing concepts. It is well acted and becomes quit interesting. Robert de niro role is top quality and the beauty of simone is superb. Recommend watching it.

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

I know the movie is not the smartest, and I wasn't expecting that. A movie can be basic and enjoyable, there are tons of examplew, mainly on teenagers movies where all of them follow the same pattern, BUT, you need a good lead actor and here is where Sam Worthington fails, he doesn't have expressions, he is so plain that even his avatar fails on expressions, you can see the difference everytime Zoe saldaña enters the screen, she feels so live, so real, that you think sully is just a dumb guy that don't know nothing. This guy should really go back to acting school please, or changing him for the next avatar instalment.

Glass Onion (2022)

A purely style twist on a classic

Despite everybody saying it is predictable and childish, I found it really deep and aligned with the onion glass concept. The center, aka mistery to solve, is not the topic of the movie, instead the decorations, illuminations, society critic andfuture technologies involvement are the real movie. Even the changes in the main character personality changes makingb him more human, with failures and the end, more layers is what makes it interesting. I really enjoyed this one.

I recommend re watching it looking at every piece of art, and color setting it is a really beautiful movie, there are a lot of gems hidden everywhere.

Double Team (1997)

A guilty pleasure. Yes, it's bad, but i love the style.

There is something about this movie. To make it short it is not a good one, it is silly and has big plot holes, buuuut, there is something in the style, in the music, in the scenes, in how the group of stars feel together. The island dead guys team and the double team look always as a group of people you would like to hang out with. I have seen it near 5 times and i still enjoy it. Even the enemy has a tragic back story which you can identify with. Don't look for a piece of art just ask for a movie a resting guy in an Sunday evening can enjoy. Don't invite any one to see this, just watch it alone and enjoy it.

Enola Holmes 2 (2022)

Good setting and entertaining

I think people is asking too much, this is lighter version of sherlock holmes brrowing things from the books. If you look at it from the perspective of a young women audience it is an excelent product. For others it is still an entertaing one but not a game changer. So go ahead and give an opportunity to the movie.

Acting was well done and the era is shown with a high level of detail. I really enjoyed the printing and paperwork use. Enola is growing and her struggles feels realistic. Sherlock appears in the movie not many minutes but pretty significative. The ending feels a little repetitive, but c'mon we know hollywood repeats every story from time to time.

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Funny and Empty

Has some funny moments, but lacks epicity and doesnt add anything new. You can delete this one and nothing happens to the MCU universe. Christian Bale acting was interesting, but Waititi didnt get his best.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

Simple movie but some of the best jokes i have heard in Years

This is a movie like the old days but with current topics, it represents the power of missinformation so so well and in an ironic form that there are many still angry about what they said. Recommended inmediately, but if you dont like movies that "make you think" please dont see it.

Lost in Space (2018–2021)

Really nice practical effects but medium actors directing

Hey, the amount of love in the practical effects for this series is awesome. If you happen to enjoy textures, sets and customs like me this series is top notch, almost every chapter looks like a high budget movie set. My issue here is witch acting directing, i mean, you can see that the actors gave their best, but all of them fails in getting true realism, and this breaks the atmoshphere, i think when this happens with all the actors (except Dr smith, she is a total pro) is because someone in the directing team is failing. Finally, i really enjoyed this beatiful show.

Hawkeye (2021)

Simple, but reaaallly entertaining

I'm a simple man, i hit the play button with this series, and in a blink of an eye it ended. It is really entertaining. Congratulations!

The series acting is great, not too complex plot but it is charming enough.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

Pretty average and full of cliches

This movie is full of cliches. Because it is with Chinese heroes it needs dragons, mafia, fights with an invader gang in the middle of the night, a martial arts master, the hippie-animal-lover village that is destroyed but the dressed in black city based brutes and others.

Man!, the acting here is really good. Those androids blow it. Yes it gets kind of weird, as other says, but i see logic there. They are slowly building to the origin of the planet, and a lot of symbolism. Adan and Eve, births, fecundation, etc. Really nice series.

Birds of Prey (2020)

The actors gave their best, margot robbie was good, buut, it seems the director or /and the editors tried to copy every crazy successful movie out there, and ended with a total lack of story rhythm telling. The movie feels fake, disconnected and empty.

To the point. The script and atmosphere of this film is for 4 years old babies. Yes, the FX team did a nice job, even the actors tried, you can say lightning, producers, music, etc and others did it, But, the movie just feels empty, extremely childish and poor. I blame this on the directing team or probably some one at the top. That is were you need to point your finger.
