FBI: Stay in Your Lane (2024)
Missy lets herself get run over.
Who okayed this script? At the start of the episode, the two agents encounter a criminal in a Mercedes who creeps towards them. They have their guns drawn, and Missy seems to be standing, the way it was shot, right in front of the bad guys car. What intelligent FBI agent would stand directly in front of an encroaching automobile ? He guns the engine and she has time to jump out of the way, but does not ? You guys insult our intelligence plain and simple . My guess would be the producers and the Director, our governed by making sure they have enough excitement during the show to keep an audience invested. Most of us watching the show are not idiots.
The Unit: Shadow Riders (2008)
Director ego
Horrible camera work. Whip pans, absolutely annoying shaky cam... ridiculous editing... how did this director ever get the job? I have no idea at what point in filmmaking directors decided that hectic filming like this, which is so difficult to watch, is something that is to be admired. It's just hack filmmaking and embarrassing.
A show in the hands of a really good tasteful director can use all these techniques, but still make it interesting to watch without having to go to the drugstore and get some Dramamine.
What's totally amazing is that the film business is chuck full of directors that use these techniques all the time. As Moon Zappa once said, "Gag me with a spoon!"
The Rookie: Fire Fight (2021)
Totally rediculous
Whoever gave this episode the green light must've been so high they should not have come to work. Nothing believable whatsoever. A total embarrassment for this franchise. This was a slice of a B movie.
Chicago P.D. (2014)
A 10 except for Sophia Bush
Sophia Bush thinks she's ultra cool with that husky voice. Her voice is fine but she has no concept of projection and enunciation and thinks she's all that.
I could not wait for her to be written out of the show. After that everything fell into place. The rest of the cast is exceptional ...
Wrath of Man (2021)
Jigsaw script....hacked together story
The movie is too long. The story is seriously jumbled up as Guy Ritchie is trying to dip his toe into Quentin Tarantino territory. Sorry bro. Two hours of my life I'll never get back and it's a low bar of a script for Jason Statham.
The Closer: You Are Here (2005)
Ridiculous handheld camera work
I don't know if it was the Director or the producers who gave the OK for herky-jerky handheld camera work in this episode. It adds nothing to the drama, absolutely nothing it's irritating and ignorant. Unfortunately in the last 10 years it has become a disease in the film world. Handheld camera shaky cam etc.
Terrorism Close Calls (2018)
Trash
Absurd editing and effects. Rediculous choice of director and producer. Hacks.
Amy Schumer Learns to Cook (2020)
Who directed these?
I turned it off in 30 seconds because whoever directed this program decided that handheld camera moving around making us feel like we're on a boat is just straight up ignorant.
Repo Man Uncut (2014)
Ridiculous
As someone already said in these posts before, all these repos are set up. If this was real there would be cameramen having a hard time with subjects as well. The show is totally absurd.
The Tracker (2019)
Hacks
Dolph Lundgren deserves a decent script and a decent director of photography and a decent first unit director....this movie has none of those.
Just greedy producers not willing to hire more experienced people.
Chicago P.D.: Call It Macaroni (2014)
Sophia Bush Is often unintelligible
I would think that the first time a director heard her speak in such low tones, and in discernible words and with not enough projection, they would've had a talk with her and told her to speak up. So unbelievably annoying.
